Looks like L’Oreal have done it again, they’ve changed the skin color of Freida Pinto for their new campaign.
L’Oreal signed the Slumdog Millionaire actress to front their new ad campaign but judging from the ad the photoshoppers weren’t too happy with her natural skin color so they lightened her up quite a bit.
This isn’t the first time they have done this, you may remember there was a whole controversy over the Beyonce ads that came out.
Is it the lighting? Do L’Oreal have the right to change the skin color of someone? What are your thoughts?
It is that time of the year already when Maxim release their annual list of the years hottest women, voted by readers. The magazine isn’t released until tomorrow but here is the full list for you, it’s long so I am going to split this up into two posts. I will post 99-50 in this post and then 49-1 in the next post, some names will have pictures and some wont because, if I do all pictures you will be scrolling for the rest of the day… so lets get to it shall we?
McAfee have just released their list of the most dangerous celebrity to search for online, this time Brad Pitt has come out on top of the list, replacing Paris Hitlon. The list:
1 Brad Pitt — When “Brad Pitt screensavers” was searched, more than half of the resulting Web sites were identified as containing malicious downloads with spyware, adware and potential viruses.
2 Beyonce – Inputting “Beyonce ringtones” into a search engine yields risky Web sites that promote misleading offers to gather consumers’ personal information.
3 Justin Timberlake – Interest in his high-profile relationships makes him an easy target for spammers and hackers. When searching for “Justin Timberlake downloads” one Web site advertised free music downloads that were flagged as directly leading to spam, spyware and adware.
4 Heidi Montag – “The Hills” star is a popular search term when it comes to searching for wallpaper. A host of wallpaper Web sites contained hundreds of malware-laden downloads.
5 Mariah Carey – Spammers and hackers are using Mariah Carey screen saver Web sites to link to other sites proven to contain spyware, adware and other threatening downloads.
6 Jessica Alba – Red-ranked risky sites were identified when searching for “Jessica Alba” and “Jessica Alba downloads.” The sites contained hundreds of malicious downloads, links to other bad sites, misleading offers to gather information, and a high number of spam emails when an email address was provided.
7 Lindsay Lohan – This young Hollywood starlet is as dangerous to search online as she is famous. Searching for “Lindsay Lohan downloads” resulted in several dangerous Web sites laden with hidden adware.
8 Cameron Diaz – Cybercriminals use download Web sites related to Cameron Diaz’s image to link to other harmful sites containing spyware.
9 George Clooney, Rihanna – The technology found one Web site embedded with hundreds of dangerous wallpaper and photo downloads after inputting “George Clooney downloads.” “Rihanna pictures” was also a risky search term, as McAfee identified a site that spammed its test email address.
11 Angelina Jolie – When “Angelina Jolie downloads” was searched, the software highlighted a risky site with 978 hidden malware-infected wallpaper and photo downloads, as well as links to other potentially dangerous URLs.
12 Fergie – A Fergie screen saver site was flagged as offering 111 risky downloads that could seriously compromise a PC’s privacy with unwanted spyware and adware.
13 David Beckham, Katie Holmes – The “David Beckham” search term generated a great deal of wallpaper and screen saver downloads veiled with malware. Consumers should also exercise caution when searching for “Katie Holmes” online — one download site advertised free screen savers that, if
downloaded, would infect your computer with malicious programs like spyware.
15 Katherine Heigl – Hollywood’s big headliner in recent years is now susceptible to Internet lurkers too. “Katherine Heigl” was searched and a site was identified containing hundreds of malware-infected pictures.
But why do you need to search for celebrities when you can just come here?
It’s no secret that magazines and other media outlets use Photoshop to make their cover models look “just so,” but is lightening or color correcting a photograph the same as completely changing the way a person looks?
Is this practice of over-photoshopping contributing to damaged body images of Americans?
W Magazine turned a golden goddess Kate Hudson into the ice queen on its September 2008 cover. W is claiming that the image is an actual photograph of Kate Hudson. We’re sure it is, but it looks like the photo editors glossed it over and slicked it up in Photoshop. The image also bears an uncanny resemblance to photographer Patrick Demarchelier’s 1994 Harper’s Bazaar cover photograph of Nadja Auermann. So perhaps W is guilty of more than just changing someone’s face. Way to be creative … stealing someone else’s idea and using it on one of your biggest issues of the year.
Caution: Objects may be larger than they appear. In this case it appears that Seventeen magazine used Photoshop to place Miley Cyrus‘ head on a smaller body. Does this petite 15-year-old really need to appear smaller? It also looks as if they elongated her front teeth and somehow inverted her arms. Or did they do that pose on purpose? That must have been an uncomfortable photo shoot.
Funnyman Dane Cook has recently been complaining about the movie posters for his ssoon-to-be-released flick ‘My Best Friend’s Girl.’ A few of Cook’s complaints are: “The left side of my face seems to be melting off of my skull. It looks like I’m wearing Maybelline Water Shine Diamonds Liquid Lipstick. It’s no secret that I’m more rugged facially due to a drunken visit by the teen acne fairy, but according to this poster I’ve got perfect porcelain flesh.” You missed one Dane: where is the scar on your eyebrow?
Jennifer Love Hewitt was splashed on the cover of US Weekly showing off her 18-pound weight loss, claiming that she lost the weight in 10 weeks. Skeptics are saying Jen used the “Photoshop diet” to shed those pounds. Bloggers have been calling her a hypocrite after her statement when she defended her weight gain on her website: “I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family. And like all women out there should, I love my body.To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini — put it on and stay strong. XoxoJLH”.
On her new album cover, singer and actress Jennifer Hudson seems to have melted away at the midriff. Jennifer has refused to comment on her new cover.
Ukrainian actress and model Milla Jovovich is not the 13-year-old model she used to be. Can someone please tell Lucky magazine that it’s OK to look your age?
In its September 2008 issue, Elle decided to chop up (lumberjack) Jessica Simpson for the cover. It appears as if the editors chipped away at her waist and part of her left thigh and buttocks. They somehow also made her hair as wide as her hips.
James Franco is glowing on the September cover of GQ. What exactly makes a man glow like that?
Michelle Obama has discovered the fountain of youth. On this month’s cover of Ebony she doesn’t have a single line on her face. Her skin is so beautiful anyway, there was no need to make it unnatural.
Teen Vogue allowed Vanessa Hudgens to look her age on its September cover. She looks natural and very much like herself. There is some shadowing underneath her eyes in the photo on the right, but that’s nothing that a fill light wouldn’t take care of. We think this cover is the least Photoshopped of the month.
At first we thought this was a photo of Mischa Barton’s wax figure on Marie Claire’s UK cover, because apparently her skin has a shiny plastic coating.
‘Gossip Girl’s’ Blake Lively has reportedly been unhappy with recent magazine photographs, but we think she looks beautiful on the September 2008 cover of Cosmopolitan. Her hair is wider than her hips, too, but nonetheless.
Harper’s Bazaar might have made a few minor changes, but Tyra Banks still has it. She even looks great under the glare of flash bulbs (picture at right). The former professional model still knows what she is doing.
We’re comparing the ad to a more recent photo of Beyonce from May 6th. Her skin tone does appear lighter with blond hair than dark brown, but not that light. This week Essence magazine published the same ad from L’Oreal with a much darker-skinned starlet.
Tiny sleeping beauties Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline were recently splashed across the covers of two mags, People and Hello. Skeptics are claiming the smiling infants were Photoshopped. They argue that babies do not typically smile from external stimulation until they are 2 to 4 months old. The millions paid by the magazines to the couple to secure the rights to the photos went to the pair’s charity foundation.
We all know that Oprah is the shiz when it comes to making money. She commands the minds of underground armies of housewives everywhere. The Queen reclaims her perch at the top of the Forbes Power List for the second year in a row. Her minions sitting below fell short of the $275 million marker.
The Forbes Power List Top 10
1. Oprah Winfrey
2. Tiger Woods
3. Angelina Jolie
4. Beyoncé Knowles
5. David Beckham
6. Johnny Depp
7. Jay-Z
8. The Police
9. J.K. Rowling
10. Brad Pitt
Tiger Woods, not even making half of what Opie made, secured his second place spot at $115 million. Angelina Jolie is up there because her uterus is Brad Pitt’s playground and for bringing home $14 million.
I bet Obama is maniacally laughing on top of Mount Oprah thankful his diabolic plan of garnering the African American version of She-ra on his side is all going according to plan.

Thank God these two are finally official. The air of mystery as to whether or not Jigga was getting the milk for free or not was becoming monotonous.
Good ol’ People magazine was digging for the truth behind the nuptials and found that they Beyonce and Jay-Z filed their signed wedding license Friday in Scarsdale, N.Y. The Town Clerk, Donna Conkling, confirmed the date on the license as April 4, 2008. In a bit of no-no, it was filled nearly a week after the wedding date. The law requires it to be processed and the delay in filing could result in a penalty.
Donna reassures the magazine’s sources that the penalty will probably be waived. She also mentions that this issue happens frequently and no one really gets fined.
Thank God. We wouldn’t want these two out $25. That could buy a couple of packs of Huggies for their fictional baby.
