Kate Gosselin’s ‘Kate Plus 8’ Got Canceled

It’s another bump in the road for Kate Gosselin today after TLC announced that they are canceling her reality TV show, ‘Kate Plus 8,’ after 150 episodes.

The show, which first stared out as ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8′ until she and Jon Gosselin split up, is what catapulted Kate into the spotlight and it’s pretty much the only thing she is famous for so what happens next will be interesting.

In a statement the network says “TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate Plus 8,” a network rep said in a statement. “By the end of this season Kate Plus 8 will have hit the 150 episode mark (including Jon & Kate Plus 8); an exceptional milestone. TLC hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future.”

Kate took to her twitter account over the last few hours to confirm the news when she told a follower “TLC cancelled it. I’m sorry …” before then going on to talk some more.

“We’ve had a great run! Six years of whirlwind funfilled adventures thanks to TLC and our many many supportive &diehard fans! While it is very sad for me and the kids (there were many tears at the breakfast table this morning!), we are looking forward with great anticipation to our bright future!” She said.

Kate continued on saying “As is very typical for me, I am choosing to see the positive in this situation and I am excited to consider the many more invigorating opportunities that may come my way!I poured my entire self in2 last 6 yrs of ‘Kate+8′ I can’t wait2have the chance2challenge myself again w future endeavors!”

“In the meanX,I hope 2have more time4motivational speaking, book writing &other fun work opportunities that come my way and maybe even some dating??!! We wish our fans well. And remember, this is not ‘goodbye’.I prefer to say ‘See you around!’ Xoxo” She finished up saying.

This should come as no surprise to anyone because ratings have been declining on the reality show for quite some time. What do you think is next for Kate? I’m going to guess she will find her self on some other reality show.

The Kardashian Kard Is Canceled

Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian have decided that they are going to cut themselves from their Kardashian Kard, a prepaid debit card, after launching it just a month ago.

The sisters decided to cancel the Kard because Connecticut’s attorney general, Richard Blumenthal, announced that he was going to launch an investigation into the card because it violates consumer protection laws with “predatory” fees.

The Kardashian’s corporation, Dash Dolls LLC, sent a termination notice to any companies who were involved with the debit card and said they wanted to immediately terminate the agreement.

The notice of termination letter says that the Kardashians “have worked extremely long and hard to create a positive public persona,” and are recognized as “honest, ethical, and fun-loving individuals who are kind and caring to others.”

If you don’t know about the card it had a fee of $59.95 for six months or $99.95 for 12 months, plus $7.95 monthly fee and fees for using an ATM, talking with a phone operator and canceling the card.

This family will do anything for a quick buck.

Jesus Christ Featured In Playboy

Jesus Christ Featured In Playboy

Playboy Portugal have featured Jesus Christ on the cover and in a spread for the July issue as a tribute to Nobel Prize-winning author Jose Saramago’s novel The Gospel According to Jesus Christ.

This didn’t go down too well with thousands of people, including the people at Playboy headquarters, and has now resulted in the Portuguese edition of Playboy being shut down. A rep for Playboy commented saying…

“We did not see or approve the cover and pictorial in the July issue of Playboy Portugal. It is a shocking breach of our standards, and we would not have allowed it to be published if we had seen it in advance. As a result of this and other issues with the Portuguese publisher, we are in the process of terminating our agreement.”

The photos show Jesus next to a street hooker, a topless girl reading a book and two lesbians about to kiss each other. I myself don’t mind these photos but I can see why it would upset some people. It is a good spread and more interesting than the typical Playboy photoshoots.

Fox Cancels ‘King of the Hill’

After several previous brushes with cancellation, Fox has opted not to renew veteran animated comedy “King of the Hill” beyond its current 13th season.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

In April, Fox picked up 13 more episodes from the 20th Century Fox TV-produced show, which are wrapping production.

A lot has changed since “King of the Hill” premiered in 1997. Its creators Greg Daniels and Mike Judge have moved on to other projects — Daniels developed and is running NBC’s “The Office,” and Judge has a new animated series, “The Goode Family,” launching on ABC in mid-season.

Judge had continued to voice the central character on the series, alongside voice-over cast members Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Brittany Murphy, Tom Petty, Johnny Hardwick and Stephen Root.

“Hill” has been executive produced by Judge, Daniels, John Altschuler, Dave Krinsky, Michael Rotenberg, Howard Klein, Jim Dauterive and Garland Testa.
