Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio sent the rumor mill in overdrive yesterday when Page Six reported that the pair were spotted hanging out together a lot in Cannes, now there is photos of them together.
They were both spotted hanging out together and giving each other a hug on Steven Spielberg‘s yacht while in Cannes earlier on today and while this doesn’t mean they are definitely hooking up there has been rumors before about them dating.
Leo recently split up with his ex-girlfriend, Bar Rafaeli, and Blake had split up with Penn Badgley late last year so both of them are single and as we all know that means when they are spotted together it instantly means they are hooking up. Well that’s my thoughts on it anyway, with rumors and then photos there is never smoke without fire.
If you haven’t heard about this new movie, ‘Unlawful Killing’, yet then you’re more than likely about to hear about it loads over the coming days. It’s a documentary about the death of Princess Diana and is set to debut at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday. Here is the trailer.
The documentary raises a lot of questions that have still to this day gone unanswered and so it is bringing up old debates surrounding the death of Princess Di back in 1997. Keith Allen is the director behind this documentary and basically goes into the conspiracy as to whether Diana’s death was indeed an accident or if in fact it was a plan by the Royal Family to kill her.
Gawker reports that the movie will even show a death photo of Diana that was taken while she was lying in the French tunnel after the accident. Now I’m all for conspiracy’s and stuff but to include a photo like this to me is just distasteful.
By the way this has been banned in the U.K. because the Royal Family don’t want this film to be seen by anybody. I for one will be watching this. Will you?
Director Ken Loach is at the Cannes Film Festival to show his Iraqi war film titled Route Irish, which of course gave him the perfect opportunity to spew his ridiculous opinions all over the red carpet.
Loach called for the “war criminals” George W. Bush and Tony Blair to be tried for launching the invasion that ousted Saddam Hussein. He stated:
“We have to keep pursuing Blair, Bush and the others until we have them in the dock. It’s certainly true that the people who started the war, who are war criminals, have not been called to account.”
Loach’s movie, Route Irish, is in the running for the festival’s Palme d’Or top prize. It’s about a former SAS officer who joins a private security contracter, goes to Iraq, sees soldiers murdering civilians and blah blah blah. You know the rest. It’s a shit movie that will probably win awards for making soldiers look like undisciplined killing machines.

Yeah yeah I know the title of this Paris Hilton post sucks, but after sitting here for five minutes thinking what to say I couldn’t come up with anything.
Why the trouble? Because it’s nothing we haven’t seen before, I mean we’ve seen all of Paris’s vagina, seen it being played with on tape etc.
Anyway she is in Cannes right now shopping off a documentary on her life, but it seems she went out last night and this happened to her.

The notoriously red carpet-tardy Mariah Carey was reportedly ticked off when the tables were turned at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of her film “Precious” on Friday night, when director Lee Daniels showed up nearly an hour late.
We hear the songbird – who plays a frumpy Harlem-based social worker in the flick – was forced to wait at her French digs, the Hotel Martinez, until Daniels arrived, which made her more than just fashionably late to walk the red carpet.
“Can you imagine Mariah Carey waiting for anyone?” wondered our incredulous source, adding, “Both Mariah and (co-star) Lenny Kravitz were pissed off. They thought it was disrespectful.”
At the film’s after-party at Greenhouse, however, nearly everyone’s good humor was restored.
“Mariah seemed to be in a great mood at the after-party. She introduced her hubby Nick (Cannon) to Lee and chatted to him for a while. She was really sweet to everyone there, but you could see there was tension between her and Lee, and Nick didn’t seem that pleased, either.”
But if the singer was annoyed, she didn’t show it, gamely staying at the fete for nearly an hour to chat with co-star Paula Patton, her hubby Robin Thicke and Ne-Yo.
Thankfully, Mariah got over any lingering anger by the following evening, when she attended a private dinner for the cast and crew of “Precious” at Nikki Beach. She and Daniels appeared to be on good terms; Mimi even hugged the director, congratulated him on a job well done and told him how pleased she was to be in his movie.
When we reached out to Daniels for comment, he seemed a bit puzzled by any animosity on Carey’s part. “I was not late,” he insisted. “I believe you have been misinformed.” He hastened to add, “I had the best time of my life though.
