Florida Gators DE Carlos Dunlap Arrested for DUI

Florida Gators starting defensive end Carlos Dunlap was arrested early this morning for suspicion of DUI.

Gainesville, FL police spokesman Keith Kameg stated that officers noticed Dunlap’s red 2000 Chrysler stopped at a green light around 3:25 am near the Florida campus. Officers watched the light change several times before approaching the vehicle and finding the 6’6″, 290 lb footballer slumped over behind the wheel. After trying to wake Dunlap several times, officers were forced to reach inside the vehicle and unlock the door through a crack in the window. The vehicle was in gear with the engine running and officers were worried that the slumbering giant would remove his foot from the brake and cause an accident.

Dunlap failed a field sobriety test and refused a breathalyzer at the scene. He was arrested at 3:58 am and transported to the Alachua County Jail.
