Dr. Drew Pinsky may spend most of his time treating troubled patients on ‘Celebrity Rehab,’ but it was the good doctor himself who needed some help from medical professionals after contracting a bacterial infection on a recent vacation.
Pinsky, who left on January 8th for a second honeymoon with wife Susan at a “secret destination,” came down with a case of Leptospirosis while away, according to his Twitter.
Following the honeymoon, which also celebrated the couple’s 20th wedding anniversary, he tweeted, “Spent the night as a patient in the hospital. Seems I may have picked up Leptospirosis in the West Indies.This is just brutal.”
Leptospirosis, which is generally caused through contact with water contaminated by animal urine, can cause a high fever, vomiting and other flu-like symptoms, according to the CDC. Despite the unpleasant nature of the illness, it can be easily treated with a course of antibiotics.
A clean bill of health couldn’t come sooner for Pinsky, who is scheduled to begin hosting duties on his new HLN show this spring.

Evil little pixie of doom Tila Tequila claims that she has an alter-ego or split personality named “Jane“. She also claims that “Jane” tried to kill her Friday night. It’s interesting how this happens right after the new season of Celebrity Rehab 4 (that Tequila will be starring in) gets delayed. You have to be in the spotlight somehow, I suppose.
Anyway, Tila posted a blog entry (that has since been removed, I’m guessing) explaining all about how “Jane” sliced up her arm and is trying to kill her. I’d say “Jane” isn’t doing a very good job.
Here’s her rambling post:
“I don’t know what happened. People don’t believe I have multiple personalities but this morning the last thing I remember was falling asleep cuz I was so tired. I blacked out and now that I just woke up from excruciating pains all over my body, there was blood and dope everywhere! She is evil! She single handedly smashed and broke EVERYTHING in my bedroom! Both nightstands, the bed lights, all of the surround sound system, my tv boxes and there’s glass everywhere. There’s even chunks of meet coming out of my arm from the deep slits from her slicing up my arm from all the broken glass! My arm meet from inside is starting to bubble up and seep through the cuts. This is so f***ed up. Now that I’m awake, she just left but I have no recollection of what happened to me. I’m just crying right now hiding in my toilet…my entire room is in shambles. All the new furniture is broken and glass all over the bed. I don’t know what’s happening! Little Tila.”
I love this part: “There was blood and dope everywhere.”
I think there was blood on the dope’s arm.

Okay, now in all seriousness… why haven’t the local authorities gone and picked this nutbar up? Any “normal” person that publicly stated they were covered in blood and surrounded by dope because their evil alter-ego had tried to murder them after getting high and destroying their room would be getting a visit from the men in white coats. I’m sure this is all just a way to draw more attention to herself, but what happens when the dumb bitch messes up and actually does kill herself?
Dozens of people will be sad, that’s what’ll happen. Those 36 or so people will be very angry at the police who did nothing to stop the death of their hero. The media will receive two or three calls wondering why this terrible tragedy wasn’t averted. It’ll be a terrible day for someone.
Let’s not let this happen, folks.

Tila Tequila was announced as one of the celebrities to on the fourth season of Celebrity Rehab the other day, most people guessed it was because she was addicted to attention but this is not the case. Apparently she is addicted to Ambien.
Instead of popping the Ambien pills she crushes them and then snort them up and here was me thinking that Ambien was supposed to help people sleep not keep them up. A source said…
“She would base her entire day around it. She would wake up, snort Ambien, Google herself, do more, Twitter all day and then sleep.”
Of course this source is probably Tila herself. I guess this explains why she was on Twitter 24/7. As for her trip to Celebrity Rehab, Tila took to her blog and wrote:
“I KNOW I am an EXTREMELY smart girl, and to run all these empires when I am not even 30 yet, is quite an accomplishment, however I finally admitted to myself that I cannot rely on taking prescription pills everyday for the rest of my life! I MUST not be another ‘LINDSAY LOHAN’ where I just flush everything I worked so hard for down the toilet for nothing…â€
As must as I can’t stand Lindsay Lohan, I will at least give her some credit and say she had a good career for a while unlike Tila Tequila who never had anything and we all know the reason she is going on Celebrity Rehab is to get more attention.

There’s always a new trend in Hollywood, the past couple of years it has been celebrities admitting they are sex addicts and going to rehab for it. This has replaced celebrities admitting they are alcoholics and drug addicts. Let’s take a look at 11 celebrities who have admitted to being addicted to sex….
Russell Brand was once a raging sex addict. Before his engagement to Katy Perry, Russell compared himself to a “charging locomotive.†In a recent interview, he admitted to having a special entourage to help him pick sex objects du jour. “My selection process was outsourced,†he revealed. “I had a team of experts who took care of finding women for me. They had very specific instructions. It was as if I was talking to a wine steward—‘I’m looking for something French, a bit fruity, smells of oak.’†Keep those sex sommeliers away from my cork! Luckily, sex rehab helped him slow his roll, but it was no easy ride. “The majority of people in sex rehab are just disgusting men … pleasuring themselves in dark corners,†said Brand. To be honest, I think the majority of these people only say they are sex addicts when they are found out to be cheating on their wives.

“Celebrity Rehab” is getting both presumptuous and audacious by trying to sign some big name celebrities.
Sources stated that the casting department has set its sights on Lindsay Lohan, Heather Locklear, Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller. Surprise … none of them have signed up.
As for Lindsay, we’re told the show recently offered her $1 million to appear on “Celeb Rehab” as well as “Sober House” and a third possible spin-off. Show sources say they were told Lindsay had no interest, partly because she doesn’t think she has a problem and partly because she wants nothing to do with Dr. Drew.
Show sources say they were shut down with Heather Locklear as well — again, the show sources say they were told Heather doesn’t have a problem.
And, the sources say they were shut down by Brooke Mueller. Undaunted, they say they’re now going after Charlie Sheen — perhaps hoping he’ll have time on his hands if he doesn’t re-sign with “Two and a Half Men.”
And the casting crew was shut down quickly by Jenna Jameson.
They better pull a rabbit out of a hat, because filming starts May 10.
It’s more like Celebrity Intervention. Only one thing could make this mix better… add Tila Tequila.

Charlie Sheen‘s wife Brooke Mueller is at a rehab facility, according to Entertainment Tonight she checked into a rehab center in North Carolina.
Sources tell them that Mueller is at the Two Dreams Outer Banks drug and alcohol rehab center, it is unknown if she checked herself in.
Yale Galanter, a lawyer for Mueller , gives a different story though saying “She is in North Carolina with her mom for some R and R pursuant to doctors orders. She is still recovering from her recent infection and pneumonia.”
Her lawyer then spoke to TMZ and said that she is indeed at a rehab center but she is not in rehab for any kind of drug or alcohol condition, in fact she is there recovering from pneumonia and the infection she has. Her lawyer also said she should be there for about a week.
Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen are still now allowed to be in communication with each other until their court date of February 8.

Burt Reynolds is seeking treatment in a rehabilitation facility for alleged addictions to prescription drugs and alcohol.
The veteran star, 73, was reportedly admitted to hospital on August 21st after he was found semi-conscious and covered in blood following a fall at his waterfront mansion in Hobe Sound.
A source told a U.S. tabloid,
“The houseman found Burt lying in a pool of blood. He’d fallen and was badly cut. The houseman drove him to the hospital. But this time, Burt was behaving strangely, and doctors were so concerned about his state of mind that they sent him to the county mental health facility in West Palm Beach.”
The Smokey and the Bandit actor then agreed to check straight into rehab after medics refused to discharge him unless he sought professional help for his alleged addictions at the nearby Hanley Center.
“The facility refused to release him unless he agreed to go immediately into drug and alcohol rehab.
He’s been increasingly abusing booze and prescription drugs, mainly painkillers. There have been many times recently when he’s been completely out of it, and twice in the last few months he’s ended up at the ER (emergency room).”
Burt Reynolds has checked himself into the best little sober house in…well, Florida, apparently.

A bleary-eyed Kirsten Dunst was spotted partying hard in Hollywood… just months after leaving rehab.
Spider-Man star Kirsten Dunst appeared a touch worse for wear during a night out in Hollywood on Monday.
The 26-year-old looked tired and bleary-eyed as she partied with friends in trendy bar La Poubelle, ten months after she checked into rehab.
Dunst recently denied speculation her party-loving lifestyle was to blame for her stay at the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah in February, insisting she was treated for depression and not an addiction to drugs and alcohol.
 “I didn’t go to Cirque Lodge for alcohol abuse or drug abuse. I went there for depression.
I was struggling and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself. I was fortunate to have the resources to do it.”
Her decision to seek help followed the breakdown of her relationship with Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell. The pair split in August 2007 after an intense six-month relationship, which was reportedly the catalyst for her downward spiral.
