Charlie Sheen may be newly single yet again but I doubt he is crying too much because not only did he bang women from Mexico, Australia and Colombia as soon as the relationship ended but he has now signed a new deal to star in a new sitcom and he stands to make more than ever.
RadarOnline are reporting that Sheen has signed a deal with Lionsgate Television to create and star in a new sitcom for them and television networks are already bidding on the show. As for what type of character he will be playing? A source says that his character will be pretty similar to the one he played on ‘Two and a Half Men’ except it will be a lot racier.
The source continues saying “Networks and cable are bidding on the show right now, with TBS being the front runner. TBS recently expanded their comedy division with the acquisition of The Conan O’Brien Show after his fall out with NBC. Plus cable makes more sense because it offers more creative freedom. In other words the show can be raunchier and more outrageous, which is perfect for Charlie! Lionsgate Television will produce the show. They have committed to ten episodes up front with the option to pick-up and produce 90 more episodes if the ratings prove to be successful. This means the sitcom could be on TV for 8 years, which is a long time! It also means that Charlie will make more money than ever before!”
As for money, apparently he will get paid the same #2 million per episode he was receiving on ‘Two and a Half Men’ except he will receive a higher back-end deal which basically means he stands to make a hell of a lot more money but it also means Lionsgate will be at less risk of losing money if the show flops.
Speaking of Sheen’s old gig it’s been revealed that his character Charlie Harper is set to be killed off when ‘Two and a Half Men’ returns to CBS, apparently Chuck Lorre plans to make sure there is no way that Sheen can ever make a return to the show.
TMZ reports that the script has yet to be finalized but it looks like Lorre wants to have Charlie driving a car over a cliff which is kind of ironic considering two of Sheen’s cars went down a cliff on Mulohalland Drive.
The other day it was reported that CBS were looking to take Charlie Sheen back and start shooting Two and a Half Men again but as I guessed this was a load of crap and there’s no chance in hell he is returning.
TMZ reports that since Warner Bros is the company who hired and then fired Charlie, they are the only ones who can bring him back but a source says there isn’t a chance in hell of this happening.
The future of the show is still in limbo but Chuck Lorre, the creator and executive producer of the show, has been in meetings over either re-casting Charlie or else moving it in a different direction.
In other Charlie Sheen news he has passed a recent drug test that both he and Brooke Mueller were made to take in their custody settlement. Her results haven’t come in yet.
Charlie Sheen is not making any friends now that he’s gone on the war path against Chuck Lorre, CBS and Warner Brothers. Even though the show has been officially canceled, he has said that he plans on returning to film it today!
Today, however, we’ve learned that the head honchos in charge of the show have banned Charlie from the lot!
A source said, “The top people in the studio’s security department were all called together Friday night, and the word was passed to all the guards: Charlie Sheen is officially banned. If he and his driver show up on Monday — as Charlie has said he would — they are to be turned away. Charlie is not allowed on the lot under any circumstances.”
Reportedly, the order is so strict that they’re not even allowing his car to make a U-turn in the lot, they just have to back up! The source went on to reveal, “Everyone was told not to even let him in far enough that he could make a U-turn and leave. If he approaches the gate, he’ll have to back up to leave, no matter how many cars we may have to move behind him. It’s that serious.”
Charlie responded in kind, saying, “Wow, that’s kind of strange given Peter Roth (WB TV President) always said it was my show that kept the lights on. Doesn’t matter too much because after Wednesday they’ll have to rename Warner Brothers as Charlie’s Brothers. I will fire those clowns and bring in my own team.”
On the “Today” show, he said that he’s underpaid and if he comes back for a new season, they’re going to have to give him three million per episode:
Charlie Sheen has unleashed an epic tirade on “Two And A Half Men” creator, Chuck Lorre. He referred to the show’s creator as “Chaim Levine”, which is the Hebrew translation of Chuck’s name.
Charlie went as far as challenging Chuck to a fight in his “Octagon” and that he “violently hates” him.
CBS and Warner Brothers did the only thing that they could do in that situation and promptly canceled the show. They’re probably still under the impression that Charlie’s rant was fueled by drugs.
Since, there have been reports suggesting that Charlie is an anti-Semite. Charlie wants us all to know that’s not true. Many felt that Charlie’s usage of the Hebrew name was just an attempt to put down Jewish people.
In a new statement, Charlie said, “I was referring to Chuck by his real name, because I wanted to address the man, not the bullsh*t TV persona. So you’re telling me, anytime someone calls me Carlos Estevez, I can claim they are anti-Latino?”
