Julia Roberts Makes $1.5 For Non Speaking Commercial

Here is the 45 second commercial that seen Julia Roberts make a whopping $1.5 million and she didn’t even have to utter a single word the whole time.

The 45-second commercial is for Lavazza, an Italian brand of coffee. She shot the ad earlier this month in Rome and the only thing she needed to do was stand there, take a sip of coffee and then smile.

This is absolutely ridiculous money and to me it just proves that Julia Roberts is the most overpaid woman in the world. I guess it’s gonna be a good Christmas in her house.

Beyonce’s Perfume Commercial Banned From Daytime TV

The ad for Beyonce‘s new fragrance, Heat, has been banned from daytime television in the UK because they think it’s too “sexually provocative” for children.

The Advertising Standards Authority in the UK say the ad, which sees Beyonce wearing a sexy short dress while she walks around singing Fever, is unsuitable for young children who could be watching the TV. A number of people who are no fun called up and complained about the ad so the ASA released a statement saying…

“Beyonce’s body movements and the camera’s prolonged focus on shots of her dress slipping away to partially expose her breasts created a sexually provocative ad that was unsuitable to be seen by young children. We considered that the ad should not have been shown before 7.30pm due to the sexually provocative nature of the imagery.”

Some people have way too much time on their hands to complain over little things like this, the ad isn’t too sexually provocative at all in my opinion. It would be nice to wake up first thing in the morning and see this on the TV. But that’s just my opinion.

The Banned Lane Bryant Ad (Video)

ABC is issuing a “fat”-war against full-figured models, plus-size label Lane Bryant says.

The Disney-owned network refused to air the brand’s lingerie ad during its hit show “Dancing with the Stars,” saying it bared too much cleavage, a Lane Bryant insider said.

And Lane Bryant thinks the net’s executives are a bunch of prejudiced boobs.

“The cleavage of the plus-size models, they said, was excessive, and we don’t think that’s the case,” said the source.

“It certainly appears to be discrimination against full-sized women.”

Lane Bryant had been set to launch its campaign for Cacique, its new lingerie line, during “Dancing” this week.

After the ad was pulled, the company posted the too-sexy-for-TV spot on its Web site yesterday.

In it, a pleasantly plump model gracefully shows off her curves before the camera in a slew of sexy poses.

“Mom always said beauty is skin deep,” a voice-over says. “Somehow, I don’t think this is what Mom had in mind.”

Lane Bryant said Fox, too, had originally balked at showing the ad on “American Idol.”

But a Lane Bryant insider noticed that a sexy Victoria’s Secret lingerie spot starring a skinny model had been slotted for “Idol” Tuesday night and complained about a double standard. That caused Fox to change its tune, the source said.

Fox bristled at the notion it gave Lane Bryant a hard time, saying it is set to air the ad during Wednesday’s “American Idol.”

“We didn’t treat them any differently than Victoria’s Secret,” a Fox spokesman said.

A rep for ABC declined to comment.

Fox had asked Lane Bryant to flash less flesh, the source said. But the label said no.

Both networks had a first glimpse of the disputed ad last month from Lane Bryant execs.

“They sent the storyboards in late March to Fox to approve. Fox rejected them, saying it was too racy, too risqué,” the source said.

“We said, ‘Wait a minute. It’s no more racy or risqué than the Victoria’s Secret ads you’re running!’ They rejected them again, said, ‘No, no, no, edit things out!’ “

If the label had heeded Fox’s suggestions, the spot would have shown the model’s face — and virtually nothing else.

Silliness… I’ve seen more cleavage on Pamela Anderson wearing her costumes.

Tiger Woods Gets Yelled At (Video)

Here’s Nike’s approach in cramming Tiger Woods back down our throats.

Nothing moves athletic apparel like bringing a dead man back to life, so he can lecture his son about his wandering schlong.

Not only is this commercial weird, but it’s all sorts of wrong.

Nude Bud Light Commercial

The new Bud Light commercial, introduced online Wednesday, features pudgy, naked male flesh.

It is the latest in down-market brewing’s glorious history of using nudity to sell beer. Only instead of buxom babes, we get 60 seconds of office drones stripping frantically because the company clothing drive is offering a Bud Light for every item donated.

But is Bud Light stripping scared? And will that benefit Joe Six-Pack at the cash register? Donald Lichtenstein, a marketing professor at the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business, believes the brand is perhaps acting out in fear of even cheaper beer horning in on its low-brau base. Said Lichtenstein,

“I’ll bet some part of it is a reaction to the market share Pabst is getting.”

So almost everybody wins. We get cheaper beer from other brewers such as Pabst. And we get short-attention-span entertainment between our regularly scheduled programming from Bud Light.

But will Bud Light see enough sales from its latest commercial, a sequel of sorts to its “Swear Jar” campaign with strategic blockage of private parts? It reportedly will not air during the Super Bowl.

Burger King Gets Heat for Bikini Ad

Burger King’s ad campaigns have become incredibly weird and uncomfortable in recent years, particularly the spots featuring a disturbing big-headed King mascot. In its latest and most inappropriate (depending upon whom you ask) offering, Burger King is currently targeting British men with a crude and base promotion that has nothing to do with food or the hamburger chain.

Burger King Gets Heat for Bikini Ad

The U.K. ‘Burger King Presents… Singing in the Shower’ Web site features a bikini-clad model who belts out popular tunes while cavorting in the shower. Viewers can actually vote on upcoming songs and bikinis, which, of course, feature predictable and lame double-entendres that incorporate words like “buns.”

+

The campaign definitely seems to have been initiated by pubescent boys, as the site offers the childish tag-line of “Watch our shower babe shake her bits to the hits.” Real classy, BK. Check out the site’s current vid, as long as you meet the easily bypassed age-requirement, to see BK give new meaning to “treating women like a piece of meat.”

Michael Bay Directs Victoria’s Secret commercial

I had no idea about this until about 10 minutes ago, but Michael Bay has decided to team up with Victoria’s Secret and make an ad full of their Angels walking around with explosions going on around them.

This is clearly aimed towards men who are looking to buy underwear for Christmas presents rather than towards women. All the models are hot as hell but only Michael Bay could make explosions, underwear and hot women seem oh so boring. What do you think?

Pam Anderson’s New PETA Video Banned

Pamela Anderson‘s sexy PETA ad won’t fly in New York airports.

Pam Anderson's New PETA Video Banned

The New York Post reports that CNN Airport Network banned PETA’s new anti-fur, anti-leather commercial in which the former “Baywatch” star plays a sexy airport security guard who strips passengers of animal products.

‘Cruelty Doesn’t Fly’—Learn More at PETA.org.

The spot was set to debut Thursday at all three New York area airports but CNN pulled the plug, saying it wasn’t suitable for children, according to the Post report.

PETA may still try to make the ad part of in-flight entertainment.

Also featured in the “Cruelty Doesn’t Fly” commercial: Steve-O, Andy Dick, Carol Leifer and Nina Hagen.

Sprite Commercial Gets Banned

An advertisement produced for Sprite in Germany, according to Current TV, has apparently been banned from the air, for pretty obvious reasons.

It combines oral sex and the desire for a refreshing Sprite to create a big finish that has to be seen to be believed.

According to Coca-Cola?

This video was NOT produced by or for The Coca-Cola Company or any of its brands. The use of our Sprite brand in this video is completely unauthorized. We are doing everything we can to determine the source of the video and will take appropriate legal action.

Oh but of course. The source is SillyDogFilms via YouTube – Upon search of the channel, I found this info on SillyDogFilms:

Age: 25
Joined: July 16, 2009
About Me: SIlly Dog Films is a New York based director’s collective. We’re here to show our work and hopefully you’re here to see it.

My guess? They thought Coca-Cola wouldn’t care about a “Banned German Ad.” Poor guy, he just joined on July 16th and already has his first lawsuit. A big one too.

Audrina Patridge Gets Intimate with a Burger

What gets “The Hills” star Audrina Patridge going? Apparently, an enormous Teriyaki Six Dollar Burger from Carl’s Jr. Yeah, I’m not buying that either.

Following in the fast-food footsteps of Paris Hilton and Padma Lakshmi, who previously steamed up screens for the chain, is Patridge (set to star in her own TV series) and her sexy and suggestive new Carl’s Jr. ad campaign.

And boy does she put The ‘Bu in Burger — working a skimpy gold bikini, a SoCal tan and a bombshell ‘do, all while consuming a burger almost the size of her head.

The sure-to-be controversial commercial will premiere on June 24, coinciding with the burger’s release. Both will have mouths watering.

So, has Audrina dethroned Paris and Padma to become the reigning burger queen?

Burger King’s ‘Baby Got Back’ Commercial

Back in ’92 when Sir Mix-A-Lot dropped “Baby Got Back” it caused a minor controversy with some due to its provocative lyrics and asstastic video, which was banned from MTV for a spell. But what a difference 17 years makes.

Today “Baby Got Back” is considered to be a Hip Hop classic and has been fully embraced by the mainstream–to its detriment.

Just take this new Burger King commercial, for example. If you thought those McDonald’s souled out commercials were bad, then you’re really going to love (read: hate) this. “Baby Got Back” has been rewritten to promote Burger King’s BK Kids Meal with SpongeBob SquarePants toys inside. Pause. Mix-A-Lot is even on board to perform the rap while the Burger King mascot does a few urban dance moves surrounded by female dancers with square shaped hind parts.

This commercial is so bad it’s comical, but in an uneasy, “Hip Hop is dead” kind of way. And this line from Sir Mix-A-Lot’s rap pretty much sums it up: “SpongeBob I wanna get witcha, cause you’re making me richer.” Sold out, indeed.
