Lindsay Lohan Sued For Not Paying Bills – Again

I’ve lost count of how many times Lindsay Lohan has been sued for either not paying her bills or stealing stuff, today we have another lawsuit against Lohan.

Lindsay Lohan Sued For Not Paying Bills - Again

Tough as Nails boutique in Los Angeles filed a lawsuit today against Lohan accusing her of not paying them a bill costing $16,880. They say that Lohan shopped in the store between November 2009 and February 2010 and racked up a bill of $17,060 but she somehow managed to convince them that her manager would pay the bill.

Her manager did pay the bill but only $180 of it, now the owners of the store they believe Lohan had no intention of getting her manager to pay the entire balance. They also say that they relied on her “well known status as a movie actress with substantial income.”

What the hell? If this happened back in 2004 then I would have sympathy for the store but Lohan had been accused of stealing crap a bunch of times before this happened so why on earth would they give her store credit?

Lindsay Lohan must keep her legal team in business with all these lawsuits they have to deal with every month.

Lindsay Lohan Has To Wear Alcohol-Monitoring Bracelet

First of all the biggest shock about this is the fact that Lindsay Lohan actually showed up to court this morning in Los Angeles, when she arrived she was told she would have to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet.

Lindsay Lohan Has To Wear Alcohol-Monitoring Bracelet

TMZ say that Lindsay and her lawyer showed up 10 minutes late to the court hearing wearing a dark suit, they told the judge the reason they were late is because of the security concern outside the courthouse. Inside, Judge Marsha Revel told Lindsay that if she wants to remain on bail then she is not allowed to drink and would have to wear the SCRAM device around her ankle as well as have weekly random drug testing.

The judge also said she is not to leave the LA area to which her lawyer tried to ask if Lindsay could take the bracelet off when she is working and tried to use the excuse that has a movie shoot in Texas and some photoshoots coming up, the judge was having none of it and told her to work around it or delay the projects.

The bracelet will be slapped on Lindsay within 24 hours and it can detect any alcohol through the persons sweat, if she tries to take it off then it automatically alerts the police. Lindsay will also have to continue her alcohol ed classes once a week and the only reason she can miss one is if she has a drug test that day.

Lindsay Lohan is due back in court on July 6 to see if she has stuck to her probation terms, if not she will be thrown in jail.

Michael Lohan Served In Jon Gosselin Lawsuit

Michael Lohan has been subpoenaed to testify in the lawsuit of TLC against his former friend Jon Gosselin.

Michael Lohan Served In Jon Gosselin Lawsuit

TLC is suing Gosselin because according to them, he broke his deal with them when he started taking money from other deals and TV appearances without consulting them.

Lohan who has been in Boston all weekend tells TMZ that he accepted the papers and told them to leave the papers at his house, he has yet to see the papers though.

In true Lohan fashion he is telling anybody who will listen about the case, speaking to RadarOnline he said..

“He did deals with me, I was working on a deal with him for a Nutrisystem endorsement and a book deal. He got a paid a lot of money for different promotions, clubs, magazines, and by a TV network. At times he said what we were doing was ok; at times times he said it was a problem. I guess that’s why he got paid cash for so many of the personal appearances so no one would know. He would get paid between $2,500-$5,000 or even more, some casinos would give him poker chips. I was negotiating a deal for Nutrisystem but when the negative press came out Nutrisystem ran for the hills. We didn’t get to the numbers with Nutrisystem but it would have been six-figures.”

Maybe with this lawsuit taking up Michael Lohan‘s time, he will lay off his daughter Lindsay Lohan for a bit? Probably not.

Britney Spears’ Conservatorship To End?

Britney Spears may soon be a free woman because her father might release her from the conservatorship she has been under.

Apparently her father Jamie Spears feels that Britney has come along way since he took control of her life and finances in February 2009.

The problem is Jamie can’t ask the judge to end it, he as to ask for the conservatorship to be reviewed once her Circus tour comes to a finish in November.

Do you think Britney Spears has come far enough to be on her own or do you think she would go back to her midnight Starbucks runs?

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Wins Nude Lawsuit

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the first lady of France has been awarded $57,500 in damages after she sued Pardon, a clothing company who used her 1993 nude photo on their white canvas shopping bags.

The former model, now married to the President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, posed nude for photographer Michel Comte in an an anti-AIDS campaign back in 1993.

The lawsuit was filed last week and her lawyer said, “neither Mrs. Carla Bruni nor the photographer has given consent for the use of the photo, [they] did not want this goal to be hijacked.”

The owner of Pardon, Peter Mertes, said that they had removed 10,000 bags and had planned to burn all of the bags, on the courts decision for the money to be awarded he said they would appeal the money – because the sum was too large for a “small blunder.”

The judge said “the unauthorized use of the image of Carla Bruni caused her moral and economic damage.” All money awarded is expected to be donated to charity, according to her lawyers.

I always feel unsympathetic when old images of celebrities are leaked, but since it was for charity then I’m glad Carla Bruni-Sarkozy won the money.

Boy George Plays Rough

Boy George (from Culture Club) was brought to court today on charges of false imprisonment of Audun Carlsen.

Carlsen, told the courts how the singer, whose real name is George O’Dowd, pinned him to the floor of his bedroom, beat him up, swore at him, then handcuffed him to a hook next to his bed.

What happened was the pair met through the gay dating website, Gaydar, and after several bizarre emails Carlsen agreed to meet up and let George pay him £300 to pose for pornographic pictures at his home in Shoreditch.

Carlsen left after they both took cocaine and George accused him of “tampering with his computer,” but a couple of months later he returned for a second photoshoot at midnight. Carlsen says that after the photoshoot while he sat in his boxers and shoes, George went into his bedroom and then called him in, where there was another man waiting.

He says, “as soon as I got eye contact they were both jumping on me. They held me down and beat me.

George was holding and slapping me and beating and punching me and screaming things. He was slapping my chest and my face. He was screaming things like, ‘now you’re gonna get what you deserve.’

I was dragged on the floor towards the bedroom and they handcuffed my right hand. He was screaming things at me.”

Geoerge then brought out a box full of sex toys and metal chains, but Carlsen managed to unscrew his handcuffs, however while trying to escape through the door, the singer hit him with the chains causing bruising and a lot of blood. It was 6am at this time when a local newsagent heard the screams and then called the police.

The best part of the trial so far has to be when prosecutor Heather Norton said George had wanted to check if he was the person who had tampered with his computer, but she then turned to the jury and asked “did he really have to hurt him?” Obviously a reference to their song (above), Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?

[Click thumbnails for a larger view]

George admits to handcuffing Carlsen, but denies one count of false imprisonment, the trial is expected to continue tomorrow.

I wonder what type of punishment Boy George will get for chaining someone up and then beating him with the chains?

Oprah Sued For $180 Million

Oprah sure does get a lot of lawsuits thrown at her doesn’t she? Today is no exception, it seems an ex employee of the talk show queen is suing her for a whopping $180 million.

The Associated Press reports that Keifer Bonvillain, a man from Louisiana is suing Oprah because she and her attorney allegedly made false statements that lead the FBI to arrest him on extortion charges.

In 2006, Keifer Bonvillain recorded telephone converstions with an employee of Harpo, Winfrey’s production company, and threatened to publish a book based on the recordings. Police nabbed Bonvillain after another Harpo employee agreed to pay him $1.5 million and wired $3,000 as a down payment.

Bonvillain told the FBI that he had publishing offers for the supposed tell-all that ranged from $500,000 to $3 million and insisted in the lawsuit that he had deliberately avoided doing anything against the law. Despite what seemed to be a solid case against him, the Feds agreed to drop the charges on the condition that Bonvillain undergo drug testing, perform 50 hours of community service and pay back the $3,000 in restitution.

In the lawsuit, which he is also suing the FBI, he says “there was substantial damage done to my name and reputation on a world level, the extent of my damages is vast.”

Chip Babcock, attorney for Harpo Productions, denies the allegations and says he welcomes the challenge to prove Bonvillain wrong. “And we know that this whole episode started when the plaintiff wiretapped a Harpo employee in California,” he said. “We advised [Bonvillain] that we believe that wiretapping was illegal, and this case will give us an opportunity to determine whether we were right about that.”

I really doubt anything will come from this lawsuit, she will hire a team and make this disappear within a matter of weeks.

Dr.Phil Being Sued Over OJ Simpson

Dr. Phil is being sued by the memorabilia dealer involved in O.J. Simpson‘s hotel-room robbery.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday against the “Dr. Phil” show, Philip McGraw himself and Stage 29 Media, Thomas Riccio claims that his comments on the show were edited to twist their meaning. Riccio filmed an interview Oct. 6 explaining his involvement with the holdup, three days after a Las Vegas jury found Simpson guilty of 12 charges.

While Riccio admits he led Simpson to the hotel room where the robbery took place, he insists that the “Dr. Phil” show spliced his comments to make him appear to be the one who orchestrated the robbery.

The suit alleges fraud, defamation, portrayal in a false light and emotional distress, claiming he was referred to on the show as the “ringleader of this crime,” “the shady dealmaker” and “a puppetmaster who would sell his soul for a coin.”

Riccio says that McGraw also tried to paint him as the one who “set O.J. Simpson up and told people to bring guns into the room” but then edited out Riccio’s denial of the statement and replaced it with a shot of him nodding his head, supposedly in agreement.

Well if you go on the Dr.Phil show you should expect editing like that.

Britney Spears Gets a Mistrial

Britney Spears is off the hook and won’t be going to jail after her misdemeanor trial for driving without a license was declared a mistrial.

Judge James A. Steele said that “the jury is hopelessly deadlocked, and I declare this a mistrial.”

In a statement her lawyer, Michael Flanagan, said “today’s outcome shows my client did nothing wrong. I consider this a victory. Britney was vindicated in that she took on a system that attempted to make an example of her celebrity.”

Said jury foreman Gary Moy, 45, a communications analyst (and one of two jurors who voted guilty): “We felt deadlocked from the beginning, there were lots of questions about lack of evidence, whether Spears had a Louisiana license or not, what the definition of residency was. We felt we were never given all the facts in the case.” He added, “Some jurors felt their time was wasted.”

Moy also noted that he believed Spears’s celebrity worked in her favor, saying that people have a “natural propensity to identify with celebrities, and I feel some of the jurors inserted their personal feelings” into their decision-making.

You got to love the justice system.

Hayden’s Dad Not To Harass Wife

Hayden Panettiere‘s father, Alan, has been temporarily ordered not to “harass, strike or threaten” his wife, Lesley Vogel, a Beverly Hills judge ruled Tuesday.

Judge H. Chester Horn issued the protective order until Panettiere’s new arraignment date of Dec. 11. If convicted, Panettiere faces up to a year in county jail.

You might remember that he was arrested at the family’s West Hollywood home after he struck Vogel, 52, “one or two times on the cheek causing bruising with a closed fist,” a sheriff’s spokesman said.

The couple had argued after returning from a charity event hosted by their daughter. Another sheriff’s official confirmed that alcohol was involved.

Shortly after he was released on bail, Alan Panettiere told Extra the incident was a “misunderstanding” and that “nothing actually happened.”

And daughter Hayden, 19, downplayed the incident, saying, “It was blown way out of proportion by a sheriff who wanted his 15 minutes of fame.”

Christie Brinkely Denied Restraining Order

The mess between Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook took another turn today, one day before his 20/20 interview is set to air, a judge has denied her request for a restraining order, barring her ex from seeing their children this weekend.

Lawyers for both sides were in court Wednesday to discuss the temporary restraining order.

On Thursday, Brinkley’s lawyer, Robert Stephan Cohen, issued the following statement on the judge’s ruling: “The court order mandates that since Peter Cook has the children this weekend, his parenting has to be away from his home and he can’t expose them to the 20/20 broadcast. Christie Brinkley’s sole concern is to protect her children.”

A source close to Cook explains that Brinkley fought for the temporary restraining order “because the kids are seen in footage during the 20/20 interview.”

The Cook source added, “I find it silly that someone who not only allows her children to be in the media but encourages it would have a complaint like this.”

In the TV interview, which comes three months after Cook and Brinkley’s divorce was settled, he tells Barbara Walters, “I’m not the … pervert that I’ve been painted to be.”

James Winkler, an attorney for Cook, told PEOPLE after the court decision: “The judge denied her request to suspend visitation. Mr. Cook did agree to take the children out of the area on a little trip this weekend and that he would not expose the children to that interview, which he had no intention of doing anyway.”

Sharon Stone Wants To Give Son Botox

Sharon Stone really is insane, in court papers that show a judge denied her request to move her son, Roan, to Los Angeles, we find out that she wanted to give Roan botox injections in his feet.

The court has released what it calls the “Tentative Statement of Decision.” It is a highly sensitive document, which outlines a bitter, ongoing battle between Stone and ex-husband, Phil Bronstein.

Among many things, the judge says, “Mother appears to overreact to many medical issues involving Roan.” In one case, the judge describes Stone believing Roan had a spinal condition, but “there was no evidence to support this allegation.”

And then the court says, “Another example of an overreaction is that Mother suggested that Roan should have Botox injections in his feet to resolve a problem he had with foot odor. As Father appropriately noted, the simple and common sense approach of making sure Roan wore socks with his shoes and used foot deodorant corrected the odor problem without the need for any invasive procedure on this young child.”

The judge differentiated very distinctly the difference between Bronstein and Stone, saying, “Father has championed for Roan’s well-being out of, what appears to this Court, nothing less than the unconditional love for his son. Unfortunately, and for unexplained reasons, it appears that Mother did not involve herself to the extent she could or should have in this process … Mother has attempted to put up roadblocks to Roan’s getting help, or has decided against participating in his care.”

The judge goes on: “Unfortunately, the problem caused by Mother’s overreactions is painfully real for this child.”

The judge says at one point, responding to Stone’s argument that she put her career on hold for Roan, “If Mother has, in fact, limited her career to make herself available for Roan, she has done little to make this evident to Roan, his school or this Court.”

TMZ also claims that there is more stuff they wouldn’t publish, it must be bad if TMZ aren’t going to post it.

Dane Cook Is Full Of It

Dane Cook is dragging the ghosts of John Belushi and Steve Martin into a nasty legal battle over dog poop -– despite the fact that one of the comics isn’t even dead yet!

After a judge ruled to evict Cook from his Hollywood apartment last month because nobody picked up after the comic’s crap-happy dog, Dane has decided to fight the decision with one of the most bizarre legal arguments we’ve ever heard –- that Belushi and Martin’s supernatural leftovers have a serious affect on his career.

Cook claims he only rented the apartment in the first place because his heroes, Belushi and Martin, used to live in the same complex back in the day, and according to the court docs filed in L.A. County Superior Court, he would suffer serious “mental and emotional” damage — and his career would crumble — if he was forced to leave. In the docs, Cook claims, “I know that the presence of those that have lived there before me affects me deeply and provides me with inspiration.”

Cook went on to say, “In the same way that writers can get writer’s block, comedians can really easily run out of ideas and ‘stories’; I am extremely frightened that this will happen to me if I am forced to move out of my apartment. I’ve seen it happen to other comics, that something interferes with their connection to their creative muse, and it’s destroyed careers.”

In the three pages of desperate begging and pleading for the judge to hear his appeal, Cook also adds that he will cut a $40,000 check to the owner of the apartment ASAP to cover all of the suffering that his dookie-droppin’ doggie has caused, if he is allowed to stay.

I don’t know if Dane thinks he is funny with this or if he was drunk and/or high but he really does come across as stupid.
