Touched by the national news of the kidnapping and murder of five year old Shaniya Davis, Cleveland Cavalier Shaquille O’Neal was moved to pay for the young girl’s funeral.
Over 2000 people attended Shaniya’s funeral, whose body was found on November 16th on the side of a road.
Antoinette Davis, her mother, has been charged with child abuse involving prostitution and human trafficking, and a man named Mario McNeill is charged with kidnapping, rape and murder.
Shaquille O’Neal stated,
“I was sitting at home watching it on the news and the story brought a tear to my eye.”

It’s a sad day in the world of show-business again because a little dog by the name of Gidget has passed away.
If you don’t know who this little four legged friend is then you must remember her as the Chihuahua from the Taco Bell ad campaign.
She died today from a stroke at the age of 15 (73 in dog years), her trainer Sue Chipperton said “she made so many people happy.”
Other than the Taco Bell ads she was in Legally Blonde 2 as Bruiser’s mom, now if that isn’t stardom I don’t know what is.
Now everyone go out and get something from Taco Bell in memory of Gidget.

It’s not even a week since his tragic death and there has been several new stories about Michael Jackson, a lot of them I’m guessing are made up.
Here is another story, this time it is alleged that Michael almost died the exact same way but back in 2004 in his rented out Coldwater Canyon mansion in Los Angeles.
A source tells Fox News that Michael’s brother Randy Jackson found him unconscious in his home and immediately called a paramedic friend who lived very close by.
The source says “thankfully they were able to save him but it was all very frightening. It was a doctor that didn’t normally treat Michael and he was shocked, absolutely shocked by the amount of prescription medications he saw at the house.”
Believe it if you will, I don’t know what to think anymore. On a slightly brighter note, here are some newer pictures than the other day of Michael Jackson‘s final rehearsal on Tuesday (June 23rd) for his upcoming 50 concerts at The 02 in London. This rehearsal is rumored to get released on DVD as it is said to be “electric.”

The FAA is already deflecting blame for the death of Billy Mays — claiming the legendary TV pitchman wasn’t wearing a seat belt when he took a shot to the head during a rough landing on a flight he was on yesterday.
Here’s what we know — Billy Mays was aboard US Airways Flight 1241 flying from Philadelphia, which landed roughly when the front tire blew out as it touched down. After the flight, Billy told FOX 13 in Tampa that something struck him in the head — here’s Billy’s actual quote:
“All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head.”
The FAA was contacted for comment, and a spokesperson said,
“The passenger needs to wear a seat belt during landing and he didn’t.”
A spokesperson for US Airways did not want to comment until more information comes to light.
Billy posted about it last on his Twitter,
“Just had a close call landing in Tampa. The tires blew out upon landing. Stuck in the plane on the runway. You can always count on US Air.”
I call BS… the flight attendants always check to make sure everyone has their seat belt on. Do you think that he had it on… then unlatched it just before landing?

Years ago Michael and I were having a deep conversation about life in general.
I can’t recall the exact subject matter but he may have been questioning me about the circumstances of my Fathers Death.
At some point he paused, he stared at me very intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, “I am afraid that I am going to end up like him, the way he did.”
I promptly tried to deter him from the idea, at which point he just shrugged his shoulders and nodded almost matter of fact as if to let me know, he knew what he knew and that was kind of that.
14 years later I am sitting here watching on the news an ambulance leaves the driveway of his home, the big gates, the crowds outside the gates, the coverage, the crowds outside the hospital, the Cause of death and what may have led up to it and the memory of this conversation hit me, as did the unstoppable tears.
A predicted ending by him, by loved ones and by me, but what I didn’t predict was how much it was going to hurt when it finally happened. The person I failed to help is being transferred right now to the LA County Coroners office for his Autopsy.
All of my indifference and detachment that I worked so hard to achieve over the years has just gone into the bowels of hell and right now I am gutted.
I am going to say now what I have never said before because I want the truth out there for once.
Our relationship was not “a sham” as is being reported in the press. It was an unusual relationship yes, where two unusual people who did not live or know a “Normal life” found a connection, perhaps with some suspect timing on his part. Nonetheless, I do believe he loved me as much as he could love anyone and I loved him very much.
I wanted to “save him” I wanted to save him from the inevitable which is what has just happened.
His family and his loved ones also wanted to save him from this as well but didn’t know how and this was 14 years ago. We all worried that this would be the outcome then.
At that time, In trying to save him, I almost lost myself.
He was an incredibly dynamic force and power that was not to be underestimated.
When he used it for something good, It was the best and when he used it for something bad, It was really, REALLY bad.
Mediocrity was not a concept that would even for a second enter Michael Jackson’s being or actions.
I became very ill and emotionally/ spiritually exhausted in my quest to save him from certain self-destructive behavior and from the awful vampires and leeches he would always manage to magnetize around him.
I was in over my head while trying.
I had my children to care for, I had to make a decision.
The hardest decision I have ever had to make, which was to walk away and let his fate have him, even though I desperately loved him and tried to stop or reverse it somehow.
After the Divorce, I spent a few years obsessing about him and what I could have done different, in regret.
Then I spent some angry years at the whole situation.
At some point, I truly became Indifferent, until now.
As I sit here overwhelmed with sadness, reflection and confusion at what was my biggest failure to date, watching on the news almost play by play The exact Scenario I saw happen on August 16th, 1977 happening again right now with Michael (A sight I never wanted to see again) just as he predicted, I am truly, truly gutted.
Any ill experience or words I have felt towards him in the past has just died inside of me along with him.
He was an amazing person and I am lucky to have gotten as close to him as I did and to have had the many experiences and years that we had together.
I desperately hope that he can be relieved from his pain, pressure and turmoil now.
He deserves to be free from all of that and I hope he is in a better place or will be.
I also hope that anyone else who feels they have failed to help him can be set free because he hopefully finally is.
The World is in shock but somehow he knew exactly how his fate would be played out some day more than anyone else knew, and he was right.
I really needed to say this right now, thanks for listening.

I am going to put the photograph behind a cut because, maybe I am overreacting, I find the photo upsetting and inappropriate. Especially considering it is thought Michael Jackson may have been dead before they even took his body into the ambulance.

 The estranged daughter of Billy Bob Thornton has been indicted on several charges in the death of a 1-year-old girl she was baby sitting in central Florida.
Amanda Brumfield, 29, was booked at the Orange County Jail on Wednesday. She faces charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child.
Court records show she told investigators the infant who died in her care in October acted normally and ate bananas after she fell from a playpen and hit her head. But detectives believe Brumfield’s story is inconsistent with the girl’s injuries.
The child was her goddaughter.
An autopsy completed in March concluded that the short fall, estimated at about 28 inches in height, could not have caused the skull fracture and brain bleed that lead to the child’s death.
It was not immediately clear whether Brumfield had an attorney. A telephone message left at the jail was not returned Thursday morning.
Thornton’s publicist has said the actor hasn’t spoken to Brumfield for a number of years.
Prosecutors have not released what they think happened or given a motive.
Billy Bob is having phone sex with Angelina Jolie, while his daughter is beating babies with bananas. They aren’t dysfunctional at all.

Sad news to report this morning, it has just been announced that Ed McMahon has passed away after a battle with cancer.
His agent, Howard Bragman, said that the 86-year-old TV personality died at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California this morning.
McMahon is probably best known for being Johnny Carson‘s sidekick on the Tonight Show, on which he made the infamous “Heeeere’s Johnny!” introduction.

Wide Trends linked with Ed McMahon dies at the age of 86
I hate bad news and I really hate reporting about it but as you can guess from the title – Mike Tyson‘s 4 year old daughter, Exodus, has died after her accident with a treadmill.
During the time of the accident Mike was in Las Vegas but went home to Arizona straight away, he was seen entering Phoenix’s St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center first thing in the morning, his daughter Exodus was pronounced dead at 11:45am.
Exodus is of his six children that he has had with different women, the mother of Exodus has not been released. However, Tyson and his family just released this statement:
“We are grateful for the tremendous outpouring of love and prayers from all over the world, there are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal.”
This is just very very sad.

Kandice Hutchinson, one of the contestants kicked off the upcoming MTV dating show “A Double Shot at Love,” died in a car accident a short while after taping her last appearance for the show.
According to KDFW in Texas, Hutchinson died on October 21after her car was rear-ended causing Kandice to be ejected. Police said she died on the scene.
The first episode of “A Double Shot at Love” will be dedicated to her.

Last week I posted a story that alleged Patrick Swayze had taken a turn for the worse and was about to die, it turns out that it isn’t true.
The story also claimed that Swayze had been saying goodbye to all his family and friends after doctors told him it was the “countdown to the end.”
In a statement to People, the actor says that he is not dying and the only trouble he is having is the tabloids.
The 56-year-old says, “I’m very proud of the work I’ve done on my new series The Beast, and I am happy to be back home for the holidays. It’s a great feeling of accomplishment to say you’re gonna do something and do it. The only thorn in my side being that many tabloids have been consistently reporting lies and false information about me and those close to me. And latest, they’re reporting that I’m on my last legs and saying goodbye to my tearful family! Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive disease and from the moment I was diagnosed, I knew I was in for the fight of my life. It’s a battle, and so far, I’ve been winning. I’m one of the lucky few that responds well to treatment.”

He goes on to say, “it’s upsetting that the shoddy and reckless reporting from these publications cast a negative shadow on the positive and good fight I’m fighting. For me, my family, and those close to me, it amounts to downright emotional cruelty. That makes me angry when hope is so precious. As always, I appreciate all the love and support people have sent and continue to send my way. I thank you.”
That’s got to be tough on Patrick Swayze and his family having different stories about his cancer being released, but like I said last time – since he was spotted smoking while in chemotherapy (see the other post) it wouldn’t surprise me much.

According to canada.com, it seems that a simple typo in a Swedish magazine led to four people being poisoned.
See, a recipe for apple cake was posted, and “Instead of calling for two pinches of nutmeg, it said 20 nutmeg nuts were needed.” The error was spotted after printing, letters were sent to subscribers, and inserts were added to store issues. But these warnings didn’t reach everyone. One group of people still tried out this horrifically over-nutmegged recipe, and the four suffered poisoning symptoms like dizziness and headaches.
How can anyone choose to make that recipe and not question that amount, or not be turned off by it? One sniff of nutmeg is hint enough that it’s way too strong to imagine 20 nuts in one cake.
So, even if you don’t come to the conclusion that there was a typo, one would think that the recipe would just seem, well, gross. I can only imagine that those who ate it have taste buds that don’t measure sickening amounts of nutmeg.
