Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman is embroiled in an ugly racial scandal.
On Wednesday, an audio recording of the Bounty Hunter star surfaced. In that recording, Chapman can be heard saying the N-word over and over and telling his son not to date a girl that is of color.
In a shocking world exclusive The ENQUIRER has obtained tapes of two revolting phone conversations in which Duane “Dog” Chapman unleashes a filthy bigoted attack, littered with the N-word and other disgusting racial insults.
The star of the A&E reality show Dog, The Bounty Hunter directed his racist hatred at his son Tucker’s girlfriend Monique Shinnery, who is black.
I know, I know… it’s the National Enquirer. However, A&E has already taken action, so there must be some truth to this.
TMZ reports that A&E released the following statement,
“A&E has just learned of the story released by the National Enquirer concerning Duane Dog Chapman. We take this matter very seriously. Pending an investigation, we have suspended production on the series. When the inquiry is concluded we will take appropriate action.”
The Dog has already responded and issued the following statement to People Magazine,
“My sincerest, heartfelt apologies go out to every person I have offended for my regrettable use of very inappropriate language. I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation. It was completely taken out of context. I was disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character. However, I should have never used that term. I have the utmost respect and aloha for black people – who have already suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred. I did not mean to add yet another slap in the face to an entire race of people who have brought so many gifts to this world. I am ashamed of myself and I pledge to do whatever I can to repair this damage I have caused.
In Hawaii, we have something called Ho’oponopono, where people come together to resolve crises and restore peace and balance. I am meeting with my spiritual advisor, Rev. Tim Storey, and hope to meet with other black leaders so they can see who I really am and teach me the right thing to do to make things right, again.
I know that all of my fans are deeply disappointed in me, as well, as I have tried to be a model for doing the right thing. I did not do the right thing this time, and hope you will forgive me. We learn from our mistakes, as my story of overcoming a life of crime has proven, and I will learn from this one for the rest of my life.”

As we reported back in September, Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman was facing extradition to Mexico. He was being accused of illegal detention and conspiracy for ensnaring convicted rapist Andrew Luster, the Max Factor heir.
All Mexican charges may have been dropped against famed bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman and two members of his team — including his son. We’re told these photos were taken moments after Dog learned his fate. Hallelujah!
The group had been charged by a Mexican court with deprivation of liberty, after their 2003 capture of convicted serial rapist Andrew Luster in Puerto Vallarta. Chapman had traveled to Mexico to retrieve the Max Factor cosmetics heir, who was wanted in the U.S. on rape charges. Luster is now in jail, serving a 124-year term.
The Chapman crew was jailed for a brief time after the incident as bounty hunting is considered a crime in Mexico. While TMZ could not immediately confirm the ruling, Dog’s attorney told us he “has received a favorable ruling from the people in Puerto Vallarta. The extent of that ruling is unknown as we are still in the process of translating it.”
Dog, through his publicist, told TMZ, “Viva La Mexico!”
It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving man… way to go Dog! God bless you!
