As we all know, the new season of American Idol is set to air without Paula Abdul, but that doesn’t mean she and her craziness is off our screens for good if new rumors are to be believed.
Paula, who is still friends with Simon Cowell, quit her judging duties on Idol because they wouldn’t pay her $10 million per season of the show. Now she has reportedly signed a $4.5 million contract with Cowell to judge on the US version of The X Factor.
The X Factor replaced Pop Idol in the UK a few years ago and has since become the most watched TV show on that side of the pond, which means Cowell is wanting to bring the show over to the US in 2011.
A source said, “Simon flew Paula to London and wined and dined her relentlessly over the course of several days, even introducing her to everyone who works on X Factor. But what really clinched the deal was Simon’s pledge that she wouldn’t have to deal with all the nonsense and infighting that she hated on Idol.â€
I sure hope Paula Abdul did her research on the show before signing the contract because there is even more fighting on The X Factor than there is on American Idol. It is rumored that Sharon Osbourne left her judging job on the show because of fighting.
Either way, The X Factor is way better than American Idol so the sooner it is on US TV the better.

Have you seen Conan O’Brien hosting the Tonight Show on NBC? No? Don’t worry your not alone because the ratings have been beyond dire and NBC are taking notice.
In fact they are taking so much notice that they are considering just giving Conan his pink slip and replacing him with none other than their former king of comedy Jerry Seinfeld.
Seinfeld hasn’t worked with NBC since 1998, after he had a nine year run with them for his hit show, but he is the top man on their wish list of new presenters to take over the failing TV show.
A source said “”NBC just can’t carry on like this. ‘The Tonight Show’ has lost 52 percent of its viewership in just one year. The November ratings will be the show’s lowest in 15 years. They would be idiots to not be having the replacement conversation.”
I knew as soon as Jay Leno left the Tonight Show the whole night time TV would fall apart and it has, ratings all across the board are horrendous. I’m not saying Leno is the best thing but when a formula that has been working for years is changed people are going to either love it or hate it and everyone has decided on the latter.

The Fort Myers Beach, Fla., town council fired Town Manager Scott Janke after learning his wife, Anabela Mota, is an adult film star.
Being married to Jazella Moore, star of MILF porn movies, was apparently just a little bit more than the law would allow in Fort Myers Beach.
By firing Fort Myers Beach, Fla., Town Manager Scott Janke, Town Council members hoped to avoid negative attention before news leaked that Janke’s wife is an adult film star.
That plan may have backfired.
The story about Janke, fired Tuesday after council members learned that his wife, Anabela Mota, is the adult video actress known as Jazella Moore, has put local and national spotlights on the town of 6,500 residents.
Town hall officials have been flooded with media inquiries — including invitations to Mayor Larry Kiker to appear on the syndicated Inside Edition and NBC’s Today— and e-mails from residents angered by Janke’s termination.
The story made headlines as far away as Alaska and has popped up on numerous websites.
They wrote “popped up”! Ha!
“It’s not good,” Kiker said Thursday. “It was on a talk show on (Florida’s east coast) this morning. (And) we’ve gotten threats.”
Howard Simon, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida, called the firing an example of poor decision making.
“This might go down as one of the top 10 poor judgments by public officials in Florida history,” Simon said.
Janke, who had worked for the town since March 2008, canceled all media interviews around midday Thursday, saying his wife is upset by all the attention. Janke added his family needs some time to process the past few days’ events. The couple’s three teen children left the state Wednesday.
“It’s been overwhelming,” said Janke, 55, pointing out he has gotten support from residents who said he should not have been fired.
In an article on Adult Industry News, a website that follows the adult entertainment industry, Janke said he and his wife believed the news would get out eventually.
“We have thought about it and tried to keep a low profile,” he said. “I guess we knew it would happen one day, but hoped that it wouldn’t really matter.”
Janke also described a close call the couple had when they attended a gala affair that included U.S. Rep. Connie Mack, R-Fla., as a guest.
“We sat at his table, with Anabela next to the congressman. The next morning she was on NBC News with the congressman next to her,” and she was concerned that her career would become public, Janke said in the article.
Mack had no comment on the situation Thursday.
Mota is 43, and according to Adult Industry News, has had her Jazella Moore website for the past 18 months. She and Janke were married in October 2008.
The Town Council voted unanimously to fire Janke without cause, meaning he will receive six months — or about $50,000 — worth of severance pay and benefits. According to the minutes of the meeting Tuesday, Kiker received a call from a reporter about Janke’s wife, and then called Janke.
In most states, the employer can fire you for any reason or no reason. But this seems like a pretty dumb one.

Have you ever had the feeling that the service guy at your local dealership is rummaging through your things? Perhaps even a few quarters are missing?
A guy named Jason knows all too well about dealership employees going through his stuff – on two different occasions, Jason noticed that things were missing from his Toyota Tundra after getting it serviced at Hampton Toyota of Lafayette. One time, over $10 in quarters were reportedly stolen, and the next time, Jason says about half his quarters were gone.
After complaining about his problems to dealership management, he received no response. So he rigged a digital video camera to the passenger side door and recorded his Tundra’s next service appointment. What he saw from the video footage was priceless. In one video clip, the technician rummages through his pills, even licking the medicine’s residue on his hand. He also takes some quarters from the truck.
Videos that were later removed from YouTube reportedly shows one man watching what sounds like pornography on a diagnostic computer.
Licking pill residue off his hands? Right… I bet that was a little vial of cocaine!
Instead of again complaining to dealership management, this time Jason took the DVD to the local media, and sent a copy to the owner of the dealership, along with a letter detailing what happened to him.
Consumerist reports that the dealer’s owner immediately fired the three workers caught on video, along with the service manager that ignored his complaints. Jason also received an extended warranty on his truck for his troubles.

Less than a month after being told by Donald Trump that she can keep her Miss California crown, Carrie Prejean was fired on Wednesday.
K2 Productions, the independent producers of the Miss California USA pageant, under license from Miss Universe, cited continued breach of contract issues as the reason for Prejean’s firing. [click here to read the press release]
“This was a business decision, based solely on contract violations,” Keith Lewis, executive director of K2 Productions, said in the documents.
“After our press conference in New York we had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship. However, since that time it has become abundantly clear that Carrie has no desire to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together.â€
Prejean came under fire for her answer to a question about gay marriage two months ago in the Trump-owned Miss USA pageant, in which she was the runner-up. After the pageant, Prejean was continuously attacked as she defended her belief that gays and lesbians should not be given the right to marry in California. She became embroiled in more controversy when racy pictures of her were published that some construed as violations of her Miss California contract.
Trump came to her defense in a May 12 press conference attended by Prejean and Keith Lewis, calling her answer to the question “honest” and saying “we have determined … that the pictures taken are fine.” He allowed her to continue on as Miss California.
But it was Trump who gave the final OK to fire her.
“I told Carrie she needed to get back to work and honor her contract with the Miss California Organization and I gave her the opportunity to do so.” Trump said in the same documents.
“Unfortunately it just doesn’t look like it is going to happen and I offered Keith my full support in making this decision.”
Representatives for K2, Prejean, and Trump were not available for immediate comment. First runner-up Tami Farrell will assume the role and responsibilities of Miss California USA.
