People magazine paid $14 million for the rights to shoot and publish photos of Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon, the twin babies of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. That’s twice the amount that a celebrity weekly has ever paid for infant snaps because, you know, there are two of them.
In that cover photo, it looks like Vivienne Marcheline is sporting a giant grin. She may even be laughing. Hold on. These babies are purported to be a mere 3 weeks old!
Parenting magazine says that babies don’t smile from exterior stimulation until two to four months — even if said exterior stimulation is the most beautiful pair of humans in the entire world. Conspiracy! Photoshop! Something!
There could be a perfectly logical explanation, of course. The babies could have been born earlier than reported to avoid paparazzi attention, as has been rumored. Or Angelina and Brad, predicting their future acting careers, are already lying about the infants’ ages. Or these babies could be hyperadvanced super geniuses — in which case, for photos of the genetically perfect future of humanity, the $14 million People paid was probably a bargain.
In all honesty, I think paying 14 million for the pictures of those babies is ludicrous. How could they possibly sell enough magazines to justify that high of an amount? Yeah, they photoshopped them.

On June 7, 2008, Jessica Alba gave birth to a baby girl, Honor Marie Warren, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
OK! magazine paid a reported $1.5 million for the rights to Honor Marie’s first pictures.
When speaking of labor, Alba said:
“The labor was more like meditation. I didn’t scream. It was really Zen.”
Meditation? Please. Any woman that has gone through labor will tell you, it’s frickin’ painful. If she had natural child birth, she was at least moaning.
1.5 million seems like pocket change, compared to Angelina’s reported $11 - $15 million.

Matthew McConaughey has sold the rights to his son, Levi Alves McConaughey’s first photos to OK! Magazine, who outbid People.
OK! will reportedly pay 3 million for the set of photographs, which is to include Levi’s first Christmas. I wonder if McConaughey will buy a bigger motor home now?

It must be a welcomed break after being on Samantha Ronson.
Lindsay Lohan will be making an appearance on Ugly Betty’s season finale along with 5 episodes to begin next season. The plot line revolves around Lohan’s character coming back in Betty’s life after being mean to her in high school.
Now there is a stretch in acting. Pretty girl who was cruel to people in high school only to find compassion after being ostracized. Gee…I bet she will take home and Emmy. This will totally make her the next Meryl Streep.

Forbes Magazine has released a list of the 10 most expensive celebrity pictures. Of course, the birth of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt tops the list. That’s just an insane amount of money. I can’t imagine how they end up paying for themselves.

The first photos have surfaced showing proud papa Larry Birkhead with his and Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter, Dannielynn.
OK! has the exclusive shots and an interview with the L.A. based photographer, who last week was determined to be the biological father of the 7-month-old. Perhaps, you heard?!
In the magazine, Birkhead reveals that just three days before Dannielynn’s birth, Anna sent him an e-mail saying, “Don’t fall in love again, I’d be a bit jealous.” Interestingly, Birkhead states that contrary to what people may think, Anna’s alleged lover, Howard K. Stern, has been “a great help” with baby D, but adds, “Howard did things for Anna that no one wanted to. I actually feel sorry for Howard.”
As far as Anna’s mother is concerned, Larry says Virgie’s not his enemy. “If she wants to be a grandmother, she can be a grandmother, my mom wants to be a grandmother too, but I’m not going to sign a paper saying so, it’s just not right.” Read between the lines, please!
A custody hearing for Dannielynn is scheduled for Friday in the Bahamas. As for the photos, all proceeds from their sale will be put into a trust for Dannielynn.

Harry Potter V, will prove to be another mega hit. Rumor has it that one of the lead characters will die.

HARRY Potter fans have been given a sneak preview of the latest movie with the release of the first stills from Order of the Phoenix, the fifth film in the series based on JK Rowling’s books.
In one image, Daniel Radcliffe, the actor who plays the young wizard, is seen crouching in an grimy alleyway as he attempts to defend himself from an attack by the Dementors.
In another, Imelda Staunton, who plays Dolorees Umbridge, the latest teacher of the dark arts, stands in Hogwarts school wearing a pink tweed poncho. Maggie Smith, as Minerva McGonagall, clasps her arms round Emma Thompson, looking uncharacteristically frumpy as Sybil Trelawny.
David Bradley is also back as Argus Filch, the caretaker and bane of Harry’s existence, in a role he has played since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 2001.

Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt is already more famous than you. Her first photos are being sold at an unspecified–but surely high–price to raise money for an unspecified charity.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will give the world its first peek at their newborn daughter by releasing photos of Shiloh Nouvel, with profits going to charity. The images, taken at a private photo shoot, will be distributed by Getty Images, the photo agency said Monday. All profits will be given to charity, though no specific foundation was announced.
 “While we celebrate the joy of the birth of our daughter, we recognize that two million babies born every year in the developing world die on the first day of their lives,” the couple said in a joint statement. “These children can be saved, but only if governments around the world make it a priority.”
Deb Trevino, a spokeswoman for Getty Images, told The Associated Press the family would later name the charity that will receive the funds. She would not disclose how much the photos were being sold for, or when they would be distributed.
A call by the AP to Pitt’s publicist, Cindy Guagenti, was not immediately returned Monday.
Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt was born May 27 in Namibia. In the weeks leading up to the birth, the couple retreated to the African country for government-assisted privacy. Delivered by Caesarean section, the baby weighed 7 pounds and was said to be in good health.
And it’s all for a good cause. Whatever it might be.
