The Dark Knight Batman movie is one of the most anticipated films coming this summer. The movie hype has been the work of some clever marketing. WhySoSerious was the site that launched a game wide hunt for what most were hoping would be a sneak peek at the film. Several cities had specific instructions that led them on a goose chase. They were led to a raffle that left many people walking away with nothing but frustration. A select few did see the 2nd trailer for the next Batman film. Hence the leak.
Check it out now before Warner Brothers swoops in and removes it. Just in case it is removed here is another movie trailer in which I am in love with. I am a slut for Seth Rogan, and the summer film Pineapple Express looks like it is packed with hilarity. I am not a James Franco fan, but this might have redeeming qualities.
There is an uncensored version on the site mentioned on the trailer. It is worth taking a peek at.
The next Batman movie, The Dark Knight, has an eager audience torn. With the tragic passing of one of it’s stars questions about the content of the movie are being dwelled upon to the point of major editing. A particular scene screened by test audiences is turning out to be an issue.
*SPOILER ALERT*
In one scene of the movie the Joker, played by Heath Ledger, is hiding in a body-bag to make a getaway. Fans subjected to the dry run of the film were disturbed by the scene and rumors immediately began to speculate as to whether or not the body bag scene would remain in the film. However, the sensitive parts of the film will remain.
A source close to the production told website MovieHole.net:
“The film remains intact – and nothing of Ledger’s will be cut from the movie, including the body-bag scene.”
“I know for a fact that that scene is in the film. I also know that WB has made no such mandate and that (director) Chris Nolan is honest when saying that he will not change what was intended with The Joker.”
While I agree the issue for fans is extremely sensitive, this not as tasteless as the actual footage of him leaving his apartment for the last time that was broadcasted for all to see. According to Slash Film and their readers the scene, almost unanimously, should be left alone.
I think one reader put it best when explaining:
“Leave it. His death has nothing to do with the context of his performance in the film. He was an actor, and assuming he did his job correctly, the audience shouldn’t be thinking about him but rather his character.â€
While I do feel terrible about the passing of Heath, I say let it be. (I am not about to stand on a soap box and spout off “this is what he would have wanted†(agreed Hunter). Let’s have some sensitivity and respect.)

Slowly everything from photos, trailers and even the first seven minutes of the Dark Knight film has been leaked to the net. Thank the blogger gods for cinematical teasers. And here we have some new photos that have made their way to the surface. (I threw in a few older ones to keep the flow.)
Maggie Gyllenhaal has taken the place of Kaite Holmes’ character in the last Batman film has assured us she won’t be reproducing Katie’s performance in the first installment.
“I think she’s a wonderful actress and I really admired the work that she did in the first Batman, but I don’t think it would have worked if I tried to imitate her. I think the only way to do it is to do it like myself.” And because Christopher Nolan is a classy director, there won’t be any winks or nods to the fact that Rachel Dawes is a new face. “They just (expect you to) suspend your disbelief. I’m Rachel Dawes now. I mean, how many Batmen have there been? Lots of them!”
I am not a huge comic fan, but I could have dealt with a new chic in the role of damsel in distress. I like my Batman a little bit slutty.

It isn’t the best quality, but it gives you a sneak peek into what is in store for the Batman fans out there. . I now understand the dark angle and find it a bit creepy. Being that I am not a huge fan of the original Batman movies, I have to say that the new films are much better. I dig that they aren’t as cartoon-ish.
The Dark Night movie leak is obviously spoilerish so watch at your own desire or you can wait until July 18th for the real thing.
How often do a brother and a sister make the top 10 of the same list?
10. Ally Hilfiger – Before “Laguna Beach,” in 2003 “Rich Girls” ruled the MTV privileged kid reality slot. Ally and her then friend, Jaime Gleicher, had every aspect of their Manhattan lives featured. During its only season, the daughter of famed designer Tommy claimed her father invented Cargo pants. Since the show wrapped, she’s visited rehab, but also recently had an art exhibit at the Chelsea Art Museum.
9. Stavros Niarchos III – The grandson of shipping tycoon Stavros Niarchos, who was a rival of Aristotle Onassis, is best known for dating Paris Hilton, Mary-Kate Olsen (also both further down this list) and Lindsay Lohan. But he’s made the news on his own merit too — he once paid a homeless man to pour a drink over his head (just for fun).
8. Fabian Basabe – Son of an Ecuadorian businessman, in 2005 he married Martina Borgomanero, heir to La Perla lingerie. During his time in the limelight as being famous for doing nothing (he appeared in E!’s 2005 “Filthy Rich: Cattle Ranch”), he’s had a knack for making the gossip sites for negative news. He sued trendy NYC nightspot Bungalow 8 for not letting him in, called the doorman of a Hamptons hot spot the N word and has received a DUI. Never shy, he recently accused Tyra Banks of having an unfortunate accident in her pants on his blog.
7. Barron Hilton – The younger brother of Paris and Nicky recently initiated himself as the newest member of the celebutante lot by getting arrested for DUI. Is it cynical to ask if this was his ‘first’ DUI? Unlike role model sis, Paris, parents Rick and Kathy didn’t pay his bail.
6. The Olsen Twins – The super rich sisters are heirs to their own fortune. They make our list because even though they’ve made their money by actually working, they had to wait until their 18th birthday to collect it. Fixtures in the club scene, these fashionistas now rub elbows with society’s elite. Mary-Kate might be considered the breakout star partly because of her role on the critically acclaimed Showtime series, ‘Weeds.’ But, more likely, it’s because she’s allegedly been hospitalized for anorexia and reportedly was having a relationship with Heath Ledger during the time of his death.
5. Cisco Adler – Son of the son of music producer and director Lou Adler, Cisco is the front man for his own band, Whitestar. Famous for dating Hollywood starlets like Lauren Conrad and Mischa Barton, he’s most famous for a nude photo that circled the Internet in 2006 in which his nether regions seem stretched (Note: not the region that would be flattering). His band starred in 2007′s VH1 Reality show, ‘The Rock Life.’
4. Kim Kardashian – This curvy daughter of the late O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian and current wife of Bruce Jenner, Kris Jenner, currently stars in E!’s “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.” Following the footsteps of heiresses before her, she gained notoriety for a sex tape scandal with R&B singer Ray J (Brandy’s brother). She has recently been accused of stealing her co-star’s mother’s credit cards to purchase clothes, when she was working as Brandy’s stylist.
3. Brandon Davis – Born Brandon Zarif, Brandon is a grandson of oil magnate Marvin Davis. He’s been to rehab twice, but if there is truth to famous photos, he should be there more often. He famously went on a caught-on-tape rant with famous fellow socialite friend, Paris Hilton, where he continuously called Lindsay Lohan ‘Fire C#$%*’ in 2006.
2. Nicole Richie – Lionel’s daughter’s first arrest was in 2003 for heroin possession. Later that year, “The Simple Life” debuted on Fox and the reality show co-star “frienemy” Paris Hilton gained instant notoriety. In 2006, the nickname “Wrong Way Richie” emerged after the star was pulled over driving the wrong direction on the 134 freeway in Los Angeles. She served about 82 minutes of jail time for the crime. However, recently she’s cleaned up her act — she has since had a baby and started a charity with her boyfriend, Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden.
1. Paris Hilton – If you look up the word ‘celebutante’ in the dictionary, her name is likely listed. This uber-famous ‘singer,’ ‘actress,’ ‘model’ and ‘writer’ is an heiress to the Hilton Hotels franchise. Already famous in society pages, Hilton skyrocketed to super stardom when a sex tape with Rick Salomon went public. This former LA County Jail resident (she spent 22 days there in June 2007 for charges stemming for violating probation over a DUI) makes an impressive income for ‘doing nothing.’ Forbes estimates she made $7 million in 2007 combined through all of her ventures.
The service was held at Penrhos College in Perth, Australia. Ledger’s father, Kim, said the service would be followed by a private funeral — he requested privacy and did not reveal the time or location.
“The funeral will be very, very private and there will only be 10 people there, immediate family and nobody else,” he told reporters.
“It’s a pretty sad time. We’re finding it difficult to cope by ourselves, let alone cope with everybody around the world. Having said that, we do really appreciate the outpouring and the emotional support from all over the globe.”
This was one of the most beautiful and moving tributes to a person that I have ever seen. They relished in the pure joy of what his life was all about. The celebration was so loving and fitting for a young man taken entirely too soon.
I love how they all jumped into the water.

Heath Ledger died of an accidental overdose of painkillers, sleeping pills, anti-anxiety medication and other prescription drugs, the New York City medical examiner said Wednesday.
The cause of death was “acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine,” spokeswoman Ellen Borakove said in a statement.
The drugs are the generic names for the painkiller OxyContin, the anti-anxiety drugs Valium and Xanax, and the sleep aids Restoril and Unisom. Hydrocodone is a widely used prescription painkiller.
Borakove wouldn’t say what concentrations of each drug were found in Ledger’s blood, or whether one drug played a greater part than another in causing his death.
“What you’re looking at here is the cumulative effects of these medications together,” she said.
The ruling comes two weeks after the 28-year-old Australian-born actor was found dead in the bed of his rented SoHo apartment. Police found bottles of six types of prescription drugs, including sleeping pills and anti-anxiety medication, in his bedroom and bathroom.
Ledger was discovered by his masseuse on Jan. 22 after she arrived for an appointment that afternoon. She entered his bedroom to set up for the massage and found him unresponsive, and proceeded to call Mary-Kate Olsen three times over the next 9 minutes before dialing 911. Ledger had been dead for some time, and police say no foul play occurred.
Ledger, nominated for an Oscar for his role in “Brokeback Mountain,” had returned to New York from London days before his death, where he had been filming a $30 million Terry Gilliam film. He said in a November interview that his most recent completed roles in the Batman movie “The Dark Night” and Bob Dylan biopic “I’m Not There” had taken a toll, saying he couldn’t sleep.
Sounds like another case of doctors prescribing medication, without finding out what the patient is currently taking and the warning of the risks when combining said medications. Completely senseless.

Heath Ledger has passed away and we all need to let him go. Somehow the media, being the hyenas that we are, can’t seem to the fact that Heath had some personal problems go. The people behind Entertainment Tonight dug up some video of Ledger indulging in some recreational drugs. (Big hairy deal. What celeb in Hollywood hasn’t at least tried some?) To milk every minute of his saga out, the gossip show was planning on airing the tape yesterday. They reportedly paid over $200,000 for the film that aired in the East Coast but was yanked before it hit the air in the west.
This is the part that I feel is worth attention…..
Michelle Williams and her reps at ID Public Relations sent out a mass email that united fellow PR reps and studio heads. The idea was to launch force against Paramount to forego the footage.
“ET purchased [the video] for a large sum of money in the hope of stirring up a salacious and exploitative story about Heath, which would win them big ratings on the first day of sweeps,” ID rep John Koch wrote.
“We are asking the Hollywood community to pressure ‘ET’ to pull the segment . . . Please forward this message to everyone you know.”
After Paramount received “a flood of calls†the studio nixed the tape and finally became a little more compassionate. Some A-list stars also aired out their feelings and made contact to show their disgust with the idea. Phone calls and emails were received from Natalie Portman, Josh Brolin and Sarah Jessica Parker begging the them to have some respect. Even Scarlett Johansson joined in. She sent a text summing up what needs to become a mantra when it comes to his death and drug issues.
“As if Heath’s poor family doesn’t have enough to suffer through.”

The paint was barely dry on his portrait when actor Heath Ledger was pronounced dead.
Melbourne artist Vincent Fantauzzo had been putting the finishing touches on his painting of the star at his Docklands studio on Tuesday.
Fantauzzo painted Ledger with the intention of entering the portrait in the prestigious Archibald Prize later this year. But the newly finished work got an early showing yesterday, when, with the approval of the Ledger family, Fantauzzo released the image to the media.
Ledger sat for Fantauzzo on his last visit home to Perth in December. Fantauzzo said he felt privileged to have worked with Ledger.
“Heath was a very private person, which is one of the reasons I was so honoured that he allowed me to paint him,” Fantauzzo told reporters. He was so easy and professional to work with. He didn’t need any direction, (he was) absolutely focused. Once done, he was back to his usual charismatic self.”
I thought this was special, something that should be posted.
In addition to the heartwrenching impact Heath Ledger’s untimely death had on his family and friends, it also has a multimillion dollar movie left unfinished. Numerous reports have Johnny Depp coming to the rescue.
Johnny Depp could be due to stand in for Heath Ledger, to complete what was meant to be his latest movie.
The Brokeback Mountain star had been in Britain just days before he was found dead in his New York apartment, working on Terry Gilliam’s fantasy adventure The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus.
A source told The Sun: “There is a point in the movie when Heath falls through a magic mirror. He could change into another character after that and that is where Johnny would come in.”
The insider added: “It’s a weird fantasy, time-travel movie, so Heath’s character could easily change appearance. It would be a poignant moment. Johnny’s not working at the moment so everyone is praying he will do it.”
A novel solution to a tragic problem.

On his radio show yesterday (which opened with funeral music), Gibson called Ledger a “weirdo” with a “serious drug problem.”
Making fun of the famous “I wish I knew how to quit you” line from “Brokeback Mountain,” Gibson said of his death, “Well, he found out how to quit you.” [hear audio]
This isn’t the first time John Gibson has been so insulting. Huffington Post reports,
In July 2005, just one day before the 7/7 terrorist bombings in London, Gibson said that “the International Olympic Committee missed a golden opportunity….If they had picked France instead of London to hold the Olympics, it would have been the one time we could look forward to where we didn’t worry about terrorism. They’d blow up Paris, and who cares?” The next day, after the London bombings, Gibson repeated the remarks.
If you would like to complain to Fox News, you can go HERE.
Yesterday evening, only a few hours after the tragic passing of Heath Ledger, we received this e-mail from reader Don T., who stumbled across a thoughtfully arranged makeshift Heath Ledger Tribute at his local Best Buy in Mission Valley San Diego.
A small sign, created by the company’s finest 1998-era laser printer, informs its customers that they should “Remember a Great Actor Through Great Performancesâ€, tastefully suggesting that customers — who may not have even been aware of his passing — grieve the only way they know how: By reliving the romantic hijinx that is 10 Things I Hate About You.
Dare I defend Best Buy and say that some over zealous employee took their own initiative and the store manager had it immediately taken down? I wonder.
