Nabbing third place on the chart was “Slumdog Millionaire“, which is in it’s 16th week on the box office charts. Coming in at fourth place was “Taken“, starring Liam Neeson, which pulled in $9,950,000 in it’s fifth week on the charts. Rounding out the top five is “He’s Just Not That Into You“, which I’ll be running out to see very soon.
In the movie, you will get to follow the Jonas Brothers as go cross country with their “Burning Up Tour”. Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift guest star and perform a song with the band.
A new song by the Jonas Brothers will premiere in the film as well.
Tyler Perry has really outdone himself this time, taking the top spot with a nice $41,120,000. In the second spot was “Taken” which is in it’s fourth week on the chart, taking in $11,400,000. The number three spot was held by “Coraline“, with a $11,031,000 haul. Fourth place in the weekend chart was “He’s Just Not That Into You“, having taken in a cool $8,540,000. Taking the fifth spot for the weekend was “Slumdog Millionaire” which brought in $8,050,000 in it’s 15th week on the charts.
The movie stars Tyler Perry as Madea, who lands herself in jail, after a high speed chase. She then proceeds to teach women in prison the right way to live.
“He’s Just Not That Into You” was the leader in this week’s box office ratings, despite the critics’ suggestions that the movie wouldn’t be worth watching.
The chick flick with an all-star cast outshined last week’s number one movie, “Taken” by a cool $7 million.
The movie centers around a group of women in their twenties and thirties, who are looking for true love. If the movie stays true to the book, if he’s not calling you, then the guy you’re dating is just not that into you.
I can see where it’s box office success comes from. I still want to see this movie, it’s a whole new take on dating for single women, besides “Sex and The City“, which we’re basically spoonfed. (I love it, too, though.)
The movie stars Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, Ginnifer Goodwin, Kevin Connolly, Bradley Cooper, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long, among others. One half of the writing team that wrote the book, Greg Behrendt, also has a cameo in the movie, as a priest.
