Dina Lohan defended the way she raised her daughter Lindsay Lohan in an oft-tense interview with ‘Today‘ host Matt Lauer, saying she had to let the troubled actress go through personal trials in order to emerge a better person.
“As a parent, you have to let them go a little bit,” she said during the Friday morning chat. “When she went out to Los Angeles when she was 19, I had to let her live and fall and fail and survive. Without failure, there’s no success.”
Dina stressed that she does not condone Lindsay’s behavior — “You can’t make your child not go out and go to a club and not get behind the wheel of a car” — and confirmed reports that Lindsay will be released early from rehab, but declined to say exactly when.
Dina Lohan said her daughter, currently in court-ordered rehab, was doing “wonderfully” after 14 days in jail for a DUI probation violation. The showbiz mom blasted Judge Marsha Revel for going “overboard” with her sentence and reveled in her recent recusal of the case.
“The judge played hardball. Lindsay was in with alleged murderers and she’s become friends with a lot of them. Lindsay rolled with the punches and she’s doing wonderfully.”
So basically, everything was the judge’s fault. Clearly Dina Lohan is an enabler, and in complete denial. I don’t know who I loathe more, cause Michael Lohan is just as bad.
I seriously laughed when she accused Matt Lauer of reading TMZ.
Lindsay Lohan might be locked up in rehab at the moment but she is still getting a lot of attention. Here she is on the cover of the September 2010 issue of Maxim Magazine wearing a bikini.
Lindsay also gave an interview to the magazine right before she went to jail, here is a little bit of what was said when she met the editors…
We know you’ve had a very trying week, and we want you to know that Maxim loves you. How are you feeling right now? “I am feeling strong. I’ve experienced a lot in my life, and my mom has given me a lot of faith. This too shall pass.”
You just had your birthday. What are you hoping for from the upcoming year? “To focus on myself and my work and to move all press on me to focus on the work I do. Also, I’d like to do more work in India and travel to Malawi.”
What is your advice to others about how to cope with adversity? “Stay true to yourself always. At the end of the day, you have to look at yourself in the mirror and be content with the choices you’ve made, and will make, in your life. Go with your gut!”
I know that most of it is photoshop but I still think Lindsay Lohan has a banging body, especially considering all the alcohol and drugs she has put into her system.
After many court delays and plea agreements centering around an altercation with estranged wife Brooke Mueller last Christmas, Charlie Sheen will be avoiding jail time completely and instead checking into Promises rehab center in Malibu, California.
Sheen plead guilty Monday in an Aspen, Colorado court to a misdemeanor assault charge. As part of his plea deal, the felony charges were dropped.
The judge sentenced the ‘Two and Half Men’ star to 30 days in jail but allowed the sentence to be “administered and executed” at Promises rehab center.
Sounds like a little bit of special treatment to me.
TMZ reports that Sheen might not actually have to spend any time in rehab. Sources close to the case tell the website that Sheen will get credit for time served, meaning he might check into rehab only to leave minutes later.
Last December, Sheen was arrested and charged with felony menacing and two misdemeanors, 3rd degree assault and criminal mischief, after Mueller, called 911 about a fight the pair had.
After he’s released from rehab, whether it’s 30 days or 30 minutes, Sheen will be placed on three months unsupervised probation.
Lindsay Lohan is now a free woman, well kind of, because she was released from jail early this morning but she has already been sent straight to rehab. A spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Department said….
“She was released at 1:35 a.m. She has been sent directly to her next destination, which is a treatment center. And she will now be under the supervision of the L.A. County probation department. This concludes her custody.”
As soon as she was released she was sent to the UCLA Medical Center to begin her drug treatment, she was originally supposed to be sent to the Morningside Recovery but this was changed at the last minute because the judge was advised UCLA would be a better choice.
TMZ say that Lindsay wont be in the psych ward but she will be in a “specialized program to deal with psychological, as well as addiction problems.”
Rapper DMX turned himself in to Los Angeles authorities today to begin serving 90 days in jail on a reckless driving conviction from 2002. He was just released earlier this month from an Arizona jail after serving four months for probation violation.
It amazes how so many successful, ridiculously rich people can’t seem to keep themselves out of trouble.
At first glance, it appears to be a bruise on Lindsay Lohan‘s upper left arm — but the mark is actually the tattooed outline of a little girl with her eyes closed.
We’re told Lohan first went under the needle at the Shamrock Social Club tattoo parlor in Hollywood just a few weeks ago — and ironically chose the image because “she liked the innocence of the girl.”
If you look really closely, or if you are familiar with Mark Ryden‘s art, you can see that it’s one of his paintings she has on her Twitter.

Inmates at Lynwood Correctional Facility in Los Angeles are apparently pretty angry about the preferential treatment that their celebrity jail-mate is getting.
An inmate released days after Lindsay Lohan arrived to the jail says,
“She’s getting special treatment. Some inmates were getting pissy over it.”
Prisoners at Lynwood are only allowed visitors on the weekends, and it’s been reported every day that Lindsay has been receiving multiple visitors. Her jail cell was also specially cleaned, and a new bed was added. She also has been given a dresser for her clothes and a TV. The rest of the prisoners wear only jumpsuits while sleeping on hard, plastic covered mattresses. They also all probably share one TV per 60 or so people.
Essentially, Lindsay Lohan is spending 14 days of her 90 day sentence in a hotel room before being released back into the world having “learned her lesson”.
This kind of crap has to stop. Celebrities are no better than anyone else, and in some cases (I’m looking at you, Lindsay), worse than most people I know. I understand now why authorities wanted to separate Lindsay from the general population. It’s not because she would be in physical danger for being a celebrity, it’s because the other prisoners would be able to see the benefits she has earned from all of her hard work and contributions to society.

Here is Lindsay Lohan‘s mugshot with her wearing her orange jumpsuit that she will be wearing during her 90 days jail sentence. But the thing is, she wont actually be serving 90 days in fact she may only serve 12 at most.
A spokesperson for the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department says that Lindsay will serve “about 14 days” because of overcrowding and she has been “extremely cooperative”.
In other Lohan news she was served turkey tetrazzini, milk, applesauce, broccoli coleslaw and a bit of bread for her first prison dinner last night.
TMZreports that Lohan is able to get her prescription drug fix while in prison because she has been allowed to take Adderoll and Ambien in with her. Which her friends say that these prescriptions is what got her into this whole mess.
Lastly – her neighbor in jail is none other than Alexis Neiers, the girl who was served with six months in jail for robbing a bunch of celebrity homes in L.A. including Lindsay’s.
That rounds up the Lindsay Lohan news for today so far.
Today is the day that Lindsay Lohan is heading to the slammer so why not celebrate it with her new spread in Complex magazine in which she looks kinda sexy.
Yes I said she looks kinda sexy and I know it’s pretty much all thanks to the wonderful photoshopping that the editors at Complex did. In the article that comes with these photos they say that Lindsay showed up hours late for the photoshoot and she never gave the interview that she was supposed to.
Now lets get to the news roundup that is surrounding Lohan before she heads to the chokey. First up is her newly hired lawyer, Robert Shapiro, has just quit working for her and as of yet nobody knows who will be representing her when she hands herself in today.
The second piece of news is that Lindsay will be going full frontal nude for her new movie Inferno, which is based on the life of Linda Lovelace. The movie is set to go into production when Lohan completes her jail stint and 90 days in rehab.
As for heading to jail today, Lindsay went to her Twitter account last night and wrote “the only “bookings” that i’m familiar with are Disney Films, never thought that i’d be “booking” into Jail… eeeks.”
That is all for now, I’m sure by time you finish reading this there will be another 20 stories coming out about Lindsay Lohan on her big day.
Lindsay Lohan does not seem to be taking her upcoming incarceration very well.
LiLo has been ordered to turn herself in next week so that she can begin serving her 90 day sentence, and according to friends, she is freaking the hell out. Inmates at the Lynwood Correctional Facility have already claimed that Lindsay could be in danger while locked away, which probably adds to her nervousness. Even though she probably won’t end up serving the full 90 days, the experience is going to very tough for the spoiled celebrity.
A source close to Lohan has stated,
“She just kept repeating, ‘I can’t go to jail’, and ‘I’ll kill myself first’ She’s mentally unstable and getting worse.”
The source also claims that Lindsay destroyed the crap out of her house after the sentence was handed down,
“She ran around breaking mirrors, cutting herself and rambling like a lunatic. She tore her house apart before she finally just broke down. Lindsay’s on a 24/7 suicide watch, it’s so bad. She isn’t doing well with this.”
I personally think that a sentence of 90 days was a bit heavy-handed, but it was within the sentencing guidelines, and that’s what the judge decided. Lindsay needs to toughen up and deal with it, maybe even try to learn something from experience so that when she is released she won’t go back to her devil may care lifestyle.
But who am I kidding? The girl is a mess and doesn’t seem to be interested in changing. I guess we’ll see what happens.

Inmates at the Lynwood Correctional Facility in L.A. have made warnings that Lindsay Lohan could be in physical danger when she is locked up there next week.
The troubled actress will be locked in a room by herself for 23 hours a day, but will have an hour each day to mingle with the other female prisoners. That’s where trouble might strike, says one inmate. Tamara Haley, 38, is currently serving time for heroin possession and prostitution, which makes her one of the most reliable sources of information ever.
“Everyone will want a piece of her. It will make them famous if they hurt Lindsay Lohan.
“Or if you get her to cry, the whole ward will laugh and people will love it – even the guards.”
She also stated that lesbian prisoners would be trying to get their hands on poor LiLo,
“The gay inmates wear their shirts inside out to let others know they are available.
“So if Lindsay doesn’t want someone to grab her ass she’d better keep her shirt on straight.
“Women grab each other like animals when the guards aren’t looking. It’s disgusting.”
Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail, but will probably only serve around 23 due to overcrowding. She will be placed in a segregation unit for her own safety, but Haley said that’s n picnic either,
“She’ll be segregated from the general population, but where she’s going it is even worse. It’s the wing where the murderers are.
“I don’t think they will actually be able to get to her, but you never know. At the very least some of those hard cases will try to scare her. They’ll scream stuff to her from their cells.
“I’ve been in segregation and it was rough. The lights are on the whole time. You hear people screaming all night long. The cells are filthy and kept brutally cold. You get one tiny blanket and that’s it.
“There’s an infection going around now. You can barely sleep at night from all the coughing. And there are girls with body lice.”
Little Miss Untouchable is not going to have a good time in jail, that’s for sure. I certainly hope no physical harm comes to her while inside, and I am sure that the staff will do their best to protect her, but jail is not a walk in the park. She will be in close proximity with other prisoners from time to time, and anything can happen. She’ll certainly get preferential treatment and protection, but that won’t cancel out the humiliation and fear that she will be subjected to.
From the second Lindsay enters Lynwood, she’ll be reminded that she is not a celebrity there. Cynthia Bertrand, 26, serving time for assault, described what the processing will be like when LiLo enters the jail,
“They pat you down and put you in a five-person holding cell, but there are about 25 women in there and only three benches to sit on.
“It’s very hot and there’s an open toilet with no lid for all the women. The toilet was clogged and there was dried feces everywhere.
“You have a full cavity search. They line up the girls and you all have to take off your clothes. They swab your mouth to check for Aids. They do another swab to check for other STDs. Your chest is then X-rayed for tuberculosis.”

Lindsay Lohan will soon be trading in her designer duds for a stiff cotton Los Angeles County Jail jumpsuit come her three-month sentence, likely to be served at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California.
Legal experts say she’ll likely serve between two weeks to a month due to the sheriff’s long-standing policy of releasing nonviolent offenders early due to overcrowding, presuming she’ll also get time off for good behavior. She is due to surrender to the court and begin her sentence on July 20.
Paris Hilton served 23 days of a 45-day sentence at the same jail for violating her probation in a DUI case and was sprung early for good behavior.
“I was basically in the fetal position, basically in hysterics,” Hilton told PEOPLE at the time of her first sleepless nights in jail. As for her fellow inmates, she said, “All of the inmates were very supportive. There were girls next to me. We could talk through the vents and they were just really sweet.”
As with all other prisoners, Lohan, 24, will be photographed, fingerprinted and searched upon entry at the facility, which currently holds about 1,800 inmates, all of them female, says L.A. sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore.
After being placed in a holding area with other detainees, Lohan will eventually be assigned a 12-by-8 cell that features two bunks (with 4-inch thick foam mattresses covered in green vinyl), a toilet, sink, a stool and a small tabletop. The only glimpse of the outside world is through a narrow six-inch window.
Whitmore said that Lohan would likely be segregated from the general population “for her protection as well as the jail staff.”
Most inmates at the Lynwood jail are kept in their cells for 22 hours a day, except for one hour of recreation time and 20 minutes per meal. The free-time hour can be spent watching TV in a common room, playing basketball in a recreation room, making phone calls or taking a hot shower.
Morning wake-up calls are at 5 a.m. through a blaring P.A. system. “Line up for chow! Make your bed! Tuck your shirts in! Hands in your pants! I want my military line with no talking! That’s how you start your day at Lynwood,” a former inmate tells PEOPLE.
Breakfast is served shortly thereafter and typically consists of two hard-boiled eggs, two pieces of wheat bread and an orange juice carton. Lunch is served around 10:30 a.m. and is often peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, an apple, banana or two cookies with a fruit punch carton.
Served around 5:30 p.m., a typical dinner (the only hot meal of the day) is processed chicken, what inmates have nicknamed “erasers,” served with noodles, broccoli, coleslaw and Jell-O for dessert. To drink: milk.
It will be tough… but not as tough as it should be. She’s already treated as a celebrity, by allowing her to have her own cell.

In the latest Lindsay Lohan news, because there has been so much of it happening lately, she is apparently demanding up to $1 million dollars for her post-jail interview. Oh and her lawyer has just quit working for her.
Back in 2007 when Paris Hilton was released from her 23-day stint in jail she was offered $1 million dollars to do television interviews but the public had a fit she was getting money for being in jail so television networks pulled out and she eventually did a free interview for Larry Ling.
But now instead of just paying the person a straight up fee, the network can get a licensing deal which provides “compensation” to the person for using personal shit like video footage. Lindsay (and her people) knows this and are going to try go down that road, a source says…
“Financially, it’s the best thing that could have ever happened to Lindsay, it’s no secret that Lindsay has been in financial trouble for a while. She will earn more money from her post-prison interview than she ever earned acting. Expect to see a major TV and magazine deal, Lindsay might have made a lot of mistakes, but she knows how much her first interview is worth. She won’t even consider offers of less than $1 million.”
In other news TMZ contacted her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, to ask her for a quote but she told them she has quit working for Lohan. When it rains it really does pour on Lindsay.
I think we can all save the television networks a lot of money by predicting exactly how the interview is going to go – she will lie through her teeth and blame everybody else then have a million excuses as to why everything has gone wrong for her while also begging for forgiveness and to be given a tenth chance. She may even throw in the odd tear or two.

As well know Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab during her probation violation hearing yesterday, but today we see the little message she had on her fingernail during the hearing – it says “fuck u”.
WWTDD came across the little gem that Lindsay painted on her finger while going through photos from the court hearing. What a rebel.

Dina Lohan watched in disbelief as her daughter Lindsay Lohan was sentenced Tuesday to 90 days in jail for violating terms of probation over a three-year-old drug case.
The ‘Mean Girls’ actress must begin serving her sentence on July 20, however she likely won’t serve the entire 90 days.
Many female inmates in Lohan’s situation only serve about 25% of their sentence, meaning that the star will only spend about 23 days behind bars. This has been proven to be true via the likes of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.
Immediately after leaving jail, Lohan will spend another 90 days at an in-patient rehab facility.
Dina Lohan was not at the Beverly Hills courtroom for the hearing, but her ex-husband Michael Lohan was.
While he declined to issue a comment following the sentencing, his spokeswoman baffled reporters when she urged Lohan to report to rehab immediately, apparently unaware the actress must first go to jail.
When corrected by an onlooker, the unidentified rep said the rehab portion of the ruling was “a great victory” for the Lohan family.
Micheal Lohan did offer up a letter to the judge, maybe he thinks his opinion actually mattered. You can view the letter HERE.
