There’s been rumors that MTV have plans to recast Jersey Shore for the past year because everytime a season ends the current cast, which includes Snooki, The Situation, Jwoww and Pauly D, all end up wanting more money for the next coming season but now according to new reports MTV are sick of this and want to recast the show with unknowns.
An insider tells US Weekly that “after this group comes back from Italy and shoots season 5 this summer, that will be the end for them.” Apparently the current cast are now earning around $100,000 per episode for the current season they are filming in Italy at the moment.
The insider also says that on top of saving MTV money this will also mean that the cast can move on and peruse other endeavors which includes spin offs. We already know that the four named above all already have secured themselves spin offs. As for Vinny, Ronny, Deena and Sam they all have still to sign any spinoffs, or even be offered one, but lets face it nobody really cares about them do they?
However while these reports are floating around online MTV are denying all of this. They released a statement to The Hollywood Reporter saying “we love the present cast, and their summer adventures have just begun. We currently have no plans to recast the show.”
I myself think MTV should just cancel the whole thing and try a new type of show. The latest season of Jersey Shore the cast were just trying to do things for a bit of camera time and it all seemed very forced. What do you think?
Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi has been taken into police custody in Italy, after hitting a police car.
According to TMZ, the reality star was driving around the city of Florence when she rammed into a local cop car, wedging her and co-star Deena Cortese in the vehicle.
Allegedly there was “zero alcohol involved,” and no injuries were reported. Witnesses said Cortese had to climb out the window of the car Snooki was driving, as it was stuck between a highway security wall and the cop car.
Although Snooki has been taken into custody it is not a formal arrest.
This isn’t the first run in with the law for Snooki. Last July she was arrested in Seaside Heights, New Jersey for disorderly conduct while filming season two of the hit series.
New Jersey invaded ‘Late Night,’ along with several of Jimmy Fallon‘s former ‘Saturday Night Live‘ castmates.
It was a veritable reunion of some of the late-night sketch show’s power women with Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Rachel Dratch all making cameos.
The video short was an obvious spoof of ‘Jersey Shore,’ featuring Fey and Poehler as two new girls coming into the club with some very different ideas to most of the gorillas in there.
“Let’s have a relationship,” Poehler told one guy as they were grinding to the beat.
Fey approached Fallon. “I wanna make babies with you,” she said, properly freaking him out.
As the guys fled the scene, Rachel “Drootchie” was left behind to hold off the girls, and she did so in a classic Jersey fight complete with hair pulling and name-calling.
The next form of generation of Jersey Shore trash is on it’s way already because Angelina Pivarnick is knocked up with her fiances, Dave Kovacs, baby.
The former Jersey Shore star confirmed to TMZ on Wednesday that she is pregnant with her first child but she wouldn’t go into any details as to how far gone she is or whether she is expecting a boy or a girl.
Angelina and Dave became engaged back in February but it was rumored that the public engagment was all a sham and just a publicity stunt although she insists it was real. With a mother like her I can only imagine how this baby is going to turn out.
Yesterday it was announced that Britney Spears and Enrique Iglesias would be doing a joint tour together, I even posted the concert dates, but just hours after the announcement he pulled out and it’s now apparently because of his ego.
TMZ are reporting that the reason Enrique pulled out of the tour is because his ego couldn’t handle opening the show for Britney, despite the fact that weeks before yesterdays announcement both camps agreed it would be a co-headliner tour. Hours before the announcement was to be made Enrique went made and called up everybody telling them that he is not going to be an opening act and he was pulling out of the tour.
Meanwhile it’s been reported by Billboard that the tour is still a possibility because both sides are currently in negotiations to try get Enrique back on board, aside from his ego it seems that money is also a major factor in him pulling out. Apparently Britney is set to make a hell of a lot more money from the tour than he is.
If you do plan on going to the show, I hope you started saving straight away because the prices are absolutely outrageous, the cheapest seats start off at around $96 and go up to $346.50 without booking fees. Also it’s been rumored that Jersey Shore’s DJ Pauly D will be somehow involved with the tour.
In case you haven’t heard – the fourth season of MTV’s Jersey Shore is set to start shooting it’s fourth season in Italy pretty soon but it looks like Snooki, The Situation and the rest of the cast are already getting a frosty reception from the locals.
The show only started airing in Italy yesterday and it has already received a ton of backlash because of how the guidos and guidettes and represent a bad stereotype of Italians. One writer says “they embody the worst stereotypes of Italians, multiplied by thousands and Americanized.”
One person even went as far to say “when I see this, I wonder whether Osama Bin Laden had a point.” Obviously he is taking it a bit to extreme to say that the cast make America deserving of a terrorist attack.
None of this is affecting the cast though who are looking forward to going over to Italy and partying it up, where one club owner said he will definitely let them in. I can’t say I’m surprised they’re looking forward to it though, they are making well over $10,000 an episode as well as getting a free holiday to Italy.

It seems like Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino has watched the ending scene of Cruel Intentions a little too many times because he has apparently been caught snorting cocaine from his coke chain.
The Fork Party took these photos and video from last weeks episode of Jersey Shore in which The Situation robbed Pauly D’s ex-girlfriend and started getting freaky with her on the dancefloor. But it seems he was doing a bit more than just dancing.
While getting down on the dancefloor The Situation decided to examine his necklace with his nose and also gave the girl a little sniff of it, after that they both wiped their nose. Some people could say it’s coincidence and they both just have a runny nose but I’m willing to bet that they were indeed doing a bit of coke. Thoughts?
