Kal Penn aka ‘Kumar’ Robbed at Gunpoint

Kal Penn Robbed at Gunpoint in Washington D.C.

Kal Penn of the Harold and Kumar franchise was robbed this morning at gunpoint while walking in Washington D.C.

While walking the streets of Washington D.C. at around 1:20 AM (he didn’t know better… really?) Penn was apparently approached by a man wielding a gun who took his wallet and other personal property. I’d like to think that the “other personal property” was a bunch of weed. Kumar immediately reported the mugging to D.C. police, and an investigation has been launched.

Kal Penn’s rep has not returned any calls at this time.

Kal Penn Leaving Obama for New ‘Harold and Kumar’ Movie

Kal Penn has decided that working as President Obama‘s associate director of public engagement is not nearly as fun as getting high on screen and making dick jokes.

I would have to agree.

Penn requested that his character be killed off last season in “House” so that he could join the Obama administration. I guess that job wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be, as Kumar’s reps are now confirming that he is leaving his post to make a new Christmas themed “Harold and Kumar” flick. Just to be extra ridiculous, this one might be in 3-D.

This is why actors should stick with what they know. Shut up and act, people. Nobody cares about your political ideals or how many poor needy children you adopt from other countries while you piss on the poor needy children in your own. Nobody cares if you go to whatever country America is currently bombing the shit out of and claim that you don’t agree with it. Who the hell are you?

Make movies. That’s your job.

Lawrence Kutner, the Indian guy on “House,” killed himself in last night’s episode. Now, Kal Penn, the actor who plays him, will get a job in the White House.

White House spokesman Shin Inouye said Tuesday that the actor who had a recurring role on Fox’s TV show “House” and has starred in several movies would join the staff as an associate director in the Office of Public Liaison. His role will be to connect Obama with the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities, as well as arts groups.

Penn starred as Kumar in the movie, “Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.”

Does John Cho get a job, too? It could be another sequel: “Harold and Kumar Go to the White House?”
