Forbes has created its first-ever list of the top-selling celebrity faces, and the most appealing celebrity to grace magazine covers? Jennifer Aniston! Her face has sold over 5 million copies.

She’s followed by:

5) Reese Witherspoon
6) Katie Holmes
7) Carrie Underwood
8) Jennifer Hudson [tie]

To come up with the list, Forbes “looked at the newsstand sales of the six leading celebrity weeklies– People, Star, US Weekly, In Touch Weekly, Life & Style and OK!–over a six-month period ending June 30, as supplied by the Audit Bureau of Circulations. We eliminated all non-celebrity and collage covers as well as special issues with exceptionally large rate bases. Then we counted how many more–or less–issues the celebrity’s cover sold, as compared with the magazine’s average newsstand sales. Next, we factored in the number of full covers a celebrity graced. Finally, we ranked his or her consumer appeal using data from Encino, Calif.-based polling firm E-Poll Market Research to rule out flukes.”

The least appealing celebs were Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. It’s amazing that after the whole Brad and Angelina news-apalooza, Jennifer Aniston is still the mags’ golden girl.

Kelly Ripa Shape Magazine Photos and Quotes

Kelly Ripa makes the cover of the new Shape Magazine, where she shares some workout and lifestyle tips:

This down-to-earth Jersey girl is so self-deprecating and funny; she had everyone at our cover shoot cracking up when she was trying on Bikini’s. “Me on the cover of Shape?” she asks, looking at her slim figure in the mirror. “You’re going to have to change the name to Shape-less.”

“We are so overfed as a society that we don’t know what a real serving looks like,” Kelly explains. “Now my family tries to eat smaller amounts more often. I’m big on grazing.”

“It wasn’t easy (exercising 5 days a week), in fact, I almost gave up in the beginning. But after a couple of weeks someone told me how great my arms looked! I’m so vain, that’s all it took. I was hooked.”

Kelly is not big on breakfast. Instead she always begins her day with coffee at home and then a cup of Starbucks regular coffee with half and half during the show. Her first meal of the day is at 10 a.m. – usually a salad and a small turkey sandwich or a BLT (with turkey bacon) on whole-wheat bread. Her afternoon snack is a handful of almonds and a pear. For dinner she eats salads and fresh veggies with smaller servings of fish or steak.

The family chef has also helped Kelly realize how easy home cooking can be…she even has signature dish. “It’s Jamie Oliver’s minestrone soup,” she says. “But instead of pasta, I use chickpeas for extra protein. The kids think it looks like a tiger because of the purple cabbage and carrots. It’s delicious. I like it because it’s really easy.”

“On the show hair and makeup people are paid to make me look great, while I just sit there, but the results I get from exercise come from my hard work, no one else’s. That gives me an enormous sense of accomplishment.”

It’s nice to have a personal chief, personal trainer, and a job that allows you to exercise several hours a day!

New York Fashion Week - Started Today!

New York Fashion Week officially kicked off today, in spite of international debate regarding too thin models. The first major runway show of the event featured women of all shapes, sizes, ages and colors.

Heart Truth is part of the Red Dress project, a federal initiative spearheaded by first lady Laura Bush, which is aimed at awareness of heart disease.

Clay Aiken: A Glutton for Punishment?

Kelly Ripa will welcome back Clay Aiken tomorrow on Regis & Kelly, well sort of. The same day that Clay upset Kelly by covering her mouth with his hand, he taped a performance that will be shown Friday. Yes, they will not reunite but sources say the two have patched things up.

Kelly and Clay have talked on the phone and now all is well. A show official said they didn’t know if Kelly would bring up the incident.

Kelly Ripa Gets Rosie O’Donnell ‘Going’

Kelly Ripa called into The View today to discuss the Clay Aiken incident.

Rosie O’Donnell said that she felt Kelly’s remark about “having kids and not wanting them to get sick” by Clay touching her was very homophobic. Kelly told Rosie that she was disappointed that Rosie would think that and it had nothing to do with his sexual preferences. Kelly said the flu is going around. Nice try. They went at it for a while with Kelly saying that she’s never asked Clay anything about his sexuality.

Rosie ended the show by saying “Clay, I have kids and you can touch me anywhere you want.” source
