One day after Clay Aiken came out of the closet and told People that he is indeed gay, some celebrities are reacting to the news.
Simon Cowell, who judged Aiken on American Idol tells Extra “wow, that’s a shock. It’s like being told Santa Clause isn’t real — unbelievable.”
Cowell then softened and encouraged Aiken with “Good for him. If he said it, it’s the right thing for him. Good for him.” As for how Aiken’s fans will react, Cowell opined, “I don’t think anyone cares. Let’s face it. It’s 2008. You know, who cares?” Did Aiken really ask Cowell to be the godfather of Parker? “No,” Simon dishes, “I don’t know him well enough, and I think I’d be the last person on Earth he’d call.”
Lance Bass who came out to People back in 2006 is also speaking about the singers coming out.
He tells OK! that “it’s great! I’m so happy he’s finally going to be happy with himself and share that with the world.” He adds “I think that’s so necessary for people to see,” he explained. “It’s good for the world.”

Lance Bass is reportedly set to join the cast of Dancing With The Stars and plans to have a male partner.
With legalized same-sex unions already labeled passé, Hollywood discovered its newest craze, boy-on-boy fox-trotting mayhem.
The pop singer is reportedly in talks with network executives to appear on the hit talent contest, where he would use his boyband experience to develop his skills as a ballroom dancer.
Bass isn’t the first ‘N Sync alumni to take a turn on the series - his former bandmate Joey Fatone placed second in the competition just last year in the shows fourth season.

Despite what you might have read elsewhere, Reichen claims that he and Lance Bass are still an item.
All,
From the Horse’s Mouth: Just a friendly reminder that when you read websites like PerezHilton.com, you are reading lies and are being taken advantage of as you make more money for a person who does nothing but fabricate stories to make his site look interesting.
That anyone would trust someone like Mario Lavendeira (PerezHilton.com) who STEALS from photographers, bloggers, and the general population, is beyond me, really. This person is a common criminal.
Contrary to what this ugly wind-bag has reported, I have not broken up with my boyfriend. I did not go home with anyone from “Survivor” from any party. I have not “made out with” anyone at a party while I have been with my boyfriend.
The opposite has been written on his site. It is all a complete and blatant lie. This person is a liar. Period.
My book was done before I ever met Lance. I do not date people so that I can “use” them. I’m self-sufficient and happy to be that way. I have served my country, I have made my own money, my own career, written my own books, bought my own homes and other possessions, and I’m proud to be this way, on my own. I am not broke. I am individually financially sound. I date people because I happen to love them. Period.
I will only post this once. This disgusting person and his site makes up blatant lies to create interesting stories. I am one of this criminal’s targets. Understand that. So know, from here on out, that if you read anything about ME on PerezHilton.com, you are 99.9% sure to be reading a lie or an exaggerated, incorrect version of something that is 0.01% true.
Merry Christmas Everybody!!
Love, Reichen
He also has a sweaty picture of Lance on his space (dirt on his arms and all):
Lance Bass has reveled he is gay, People has confirmed.
Not that big of a surprise. But still, it’s quite a shocker. But, I knew it was coming. He sparked much controversy earlier this week when he was spotted with “Amazing Race” reality TV star Reichen Lehmkuhl at soem gay bars in Provincetown, Mass. Good for him and I’m glad he hopefully is happy. At I’m also glad is he dating a semi-celebrity too. (Ha! Just joking on that one…or am I?)
Paparazzi might give Shannon Elizabeth a little more room after this news gets out.
‘American Pie’ star Shannon Elizabeth grabbed a photographer’s camera in New York City yesterday after the photog was filming Elizabeth walk through Central Park with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Lance Bass and ‘Amazing Race 4′ winner Reichen Lehmkuhl.
The cameraman spotted the foursome in a few different locations. While filming Bass and Sigler, the photog appears to be grabbed from the right side. “Will you stop filming? It’s enough,” Elizabeth can be heard saying. After the cameraman responded, “They don’t seem to mind to me,” Elizabeth shot back, “We all mind. Stop.” The footage then cuts out because, according to the cameraman, Elizabeth took the battery out of the camera and threw it on 5th Avenue.
You go, girl. Click the link for the video.
A couple of random Shannon Elizabeth photos follow.
