Lisa Rinna Undergoes Lip Reduction Surgery

Lisa Rinna‘s plumped-up lips are infamous, but the 47-year-old actress decided it was time to surgically reduce the size of her puckers.

“My lips started to define who I am,” Rinna tells PEOPLE. “That bothered me.”

Last year, she confessed to having her puckers injected with silicone in 1986 but was surprised by the lack of support from the public. “I took a big hit for being honest. It gave everyone online permission to lambaste me. It hurt my feelings,” she reveals.

The surgery was a success for Rinna who claims her lips no longer feel “bumpy and uneven.” The actress says her mouth is still swollen from the procedure. It will require six months to heal fully. “It’s a work in progress, but I feel fantastic.”

“My lip has no lumps! It’s smooth,” she adds. “It doesn’t matter what other people think. I did it for myself.”
