Britney Spears and Parents Sued By Sam Lutfi

Britney Spears’ former manager Sam Lutfi is suing the singer and her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, for defamation and breach of contract, L.A. court documents show.

In the lawsuit filed Tuesday, Lutfi is also claiming libel, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. “Jamie and Lynne launched a campaign of lies and intimidation designed to destroy Lutfi and drive him out of Britney’s life,” the papers read. “This campaign also provided Jamie with the opportunity he needed to obtain an appointment as Britney’s conservator.”

Additionally, the lawsuit alleges: “Despite seemingly accomplishing their objectives, Jamie and Lynne have nevertheless continued their smear campaign against Lutfi. Thus, having no other alternative, Lutfi brings this action to defend himself against Jamie’s and Lynne’s persistent attacks.”

Last Friday, Britney’s father obtained a new restraining order against Lutfi, accusing him of harassing the Spears family. In papers, Jamie Spears and lawyer Andrew Wallet, who oversee the singer’s affairs as co-conservators, alleged that Lufti and two other men “are now working in concert to disrupt the conservatorship with utter disregard for Ms. Spears’s health and well being.”

Lutfi, who says he became Britney’s manager after the two met in an L.A. nightclub in 2007, claims his reputation was damaged by Lynne Spears’s book, Through the Storm, in which she makes allegations about Lutfi’s control over her daughter. He calls the allegations “lies and fabrication.”

“Since the publication of the book, Lutfi has been subjected to unfathomable amounts of ridicule and scorn,” and has received “numerous death threats from overzealous fans,” the lawsuit reads, adding that Lutfi can “no longer find work as a counselor of at-risk teens.”

Lutfi also alleges that in January 2008, Jamie Spears burst into the singer’s home and “punched [Lutfi] in the chest,” which caused “injury to his nervous system and person.” He adds the singer’s father was “screaming that … Lutfi had made a rude comment to Lynne the night before.”

Finally, Lutfi claims he and Britney had an oral agreement that he would be compensated 15 percent of her earnings as her manager. Lutfi alleges that the agreement was confirmed in a text message on Oct. 13, 2007 in which the singer wrote: “sam, so thats fine, i want you to be my manager, you were right its 15 percent of my money but for 4 years not 5.” Lutfi claims that he hasn’t received any payment for his alleged services.

Lutfi’s attorney, Bryan J. Freedman said in a statement Tuesday that there is “overwhelming evidence from independent witnesses” proving his client’s case and that “at the time of the trial in this action, the jury will have an opportunity to weigh the credibility of the witnesses.”

Lawyers for Jamie Spears weren’t immediately available for comment.

Jamie Lynn Spears Pregnant Again?

Jamie Lynn Spears is reportedly pregnant yet again. According to the National Enquirer the 17-year-old is shocked at the pregnancy, that comes just three months after giving birth to baby Maddie Briann.

Jamie’s desperate to keep the shocking news secret and some people close to her are urging Jamie Lynn to consider ending the pregnancy, sources say.

“Jamie Lynn is about eight weeks pregnant, and she and her mom Lynne are hysterical,” revealed a close source. “Neither of them knows what to do, but for now they’re trying to keep the news from getting out.”

The unplanned pregnancy came as a shock to Jamie Lynn, who’d been breast-feeding her infant daughter Maddie Briann, insiders say.

“Jamie Lynn believed she couldn’t get pregnant while she was breast-feeding,” said the close source. “She’d expected to have her period by early September.” A home pregnancy test came back positive and Jamie Lynn cried her eyes out, said the source.

Her mother Lynne was livid when she found out, divulged an insider. Meanwhile, insiders say that those close to Jamie Lynn are urging her to abort!

“They’ve reminded Jamie Lynn how much trouble she had adjusting to motherhood with Maddie, and pointed out that having a second baby now would only be a recipe for disaster,” said the close source.

Now I know the National Enquirer isn’t known for being the most reliable source, but they did break the first pregnancy news and this is the Spears family after all.

Lynne Spears Talks to ‘Today’ – See Video

Meredith Viera interviewed Lynne Spears on “Today” this morning to talk about her new book “Through the Storm.”

Basically, Lynne lives in her own world where she bakes cookies all day long like a good mother and really didn’t do anything wrong when raising her kids.

In the clip above, Lynne talks about how she wasn’t a stage mother. Britney pushed her. When Britney started to become a star, Lynne couldn’t travel with her, because she had to stay at home and raise Jamie Lynne. She compares it to sending your kids to college.

“You don’t really know what they’re doing in college … just as Britney set out two years earlier to be a star.”

On being a stage mom: “Britney pushed me.”

On it not being possible to be by Britney every second: “Did I want to be there? Of course!” she said. “Was it feasible? It wasn’t.”

On comparing Britney to a kid in college: “You don’t really know what they’re doing in college … just as Britney set out two years earlier to be a star,” she said.

On Britney in Hollywood: “She’s out there, she’s with the crowds and with her peer groups, and she’s doing things — she’s a celebrity, for heaven’s sake!”

On Britney’s 1999 Rolling Stone cover: “We didn’t really know what we were doing…We were so in awe,” she said. “I never even bought [Rolling Stone], but I just heard this is a really big deal.”

On not knowing what was going on: “We didn’t have any choice over pictures … We had no one who could tell us what we were supposed to be doing.”

On getting sucked into fame: “There was that honeymoon period where it looked like she could do no wrong,” Lynne said. “Then there’s that ugly side of fame … and we weren’t ready for that.”

On Britney’s downfall: “I don’t think anybody was even trying to sit and think of what was going on,” she said. “We were praying very hard. It seemed like we had no control over what was happening.”

On looking back at everything: “I have sat for hours, thinking and thinking about everything that’s happened. It’s been a whirlwind. When you mix extreme heightened celebrity hood and then when you have heartache … The mixture’s just not healthy.”

And in the clip below, Lynne talks about how she was shocked to learn about Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy. I guess she had no idea that her 16 year old daughter was sleeping around?

Isn’t it cute how Lynne doesn’t accept the blame for anything?

Britney Spears Reacts to Lynne’s Tell-All Book

Britney Spears recently spoke with OK! magazine and shared a few insights — about her children and her mom, Lynne Spears, new “tell all” book.

If you were questioning Britney’s current lack of effort to win joint custody of her sons, Preston and Jayden, from her ex-husband Kevin Federline — the young mother hasn’t given up.

“Her goal is to regain joint custody of her sons, as soon as her dad Jamie’s status as her conservator ends.”

AND… in spite of all the controversy surrounding Lynne’s memoirs, it’s reported that there is no controversy.

“Regardless of what people might think, Britney isn’t upset about the book. After a tough last year, Brit and Lynne have a wonderful relationship again.”

Sounds like Larry Randolf is back to doing his job again. I’m glad that Britney and Lynne are talking again, but her parents still bother me.

If they had spent more time being parents, and less time looking for ways to benefit financially from Britney — well, let’s just say the last chapter might have been written differently.

Lynne Spears Releases New Book

It’s coming….the mother of knocked up at 16 Jamie Lynn Spears and ham sandwich crazy Britney Spears has her book.

lynne-spears-book.jpg

“Through the Storm” is a guide on her experience in the tabloid rodeo of the Spears drama. It will hit bookstores on August 16th. I know every new parent is eager to get their hands on the info from the ultimate pimp, Lynn Spears.

Lynne was just an ordinary Southern mom when the overnight success of her daughter Britney shoved the Spears family into the blinding limelight glare.

Through the Storm takes readers beyond the reach of the paparazzi and outside the narrow orbit of the Hollywood glitterati to share the inside story of the Spears family-as only a mother can tell it.

In this openhearted memoir, Lynne speaks about Britney, Jamie Lynn, Bryan, ex-husband Jamie, herself, and their lives together from Louisiana to Los Angeles, including:

* Lynne’s backseat role in Britney’s path to fame and how it forever changed their family

* Her regret in abdicating parental authority to managers, agents, and record companies

* The challenges that shaped Lynne and Jamie’s marriage and how that affected Bryan, Britney, and Jamie Lynn

* Her response to Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy

* The startling events that led to Britney’s meltdown and Lynne’s showdown with manager Sam Lufti

* How faith, family, and friendships have been her harbor in the storm of paparazzi, tabloid scribblers, and gossip hounds

Sincere, self-effacing, sometimes spunky, Lynne’s memoir reveals the heart of a mother who has struggled through difficult times and how she has held onto her faith and her sense of humor as she tries to hold onto her family.

Reportedly, Brit-Brit is super pissed her mother is continuing to suck at the teat of her empire. The memoir was originally set to come out over Mother’s Day of this year, but after Jamie got knocked up it put a hold on things. The title was also rumored to be ‘Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World.’

Personally I don’t understand this. It is about as smart as taking a laxative and sleeping pills at the same time. Or like taking makeup tips from Amy Winehouse. Eh, you get my drift. Plus the cover photo looks like a senior picture, delightfully tacky and over posed.

Charlize Theron for President!

Charlize Theron is considering a career in politics after taking an interest in the U.S presidential elections. Hey… it couldn’t be any worse, eh?

Charlize Theron for President - PIC

Contact Music reports, She credits her South African upbringing to her interest in politics, which taught her not to be scared to question authority. She says,

quote5.jpg“I’m very politically aware. I don’t think I can be one of those people that can walk around with blinders on. I question authority, question what the government is doing, and I think that is an incredibly patriotic thing to do. I think if I didn’t care I wouldn’t ask any questions.

I love America and love living in this country. And I think, maybe coming from a country like South Africa, and being used to political turmoil, that’s just the way I grew up. I think it’s important to see and hear what everybody’s agendas are.”
