Catherine Bosley is nude as hell and she’s not going to take it any more!
 A Cleveland television news reporter has filed a lawsuit against Hustler magazine for publishing nude photos of her hamming it up during a 2003 wet T-shirt contest.
Catherine Bosley, of WOIO Channel 19, is suing the pornographic magazine and its parent company, LFP Inc., for copyright infringement.
Bosley, in a complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Cleveland, said she legally owns the images, which the magazine published in a February 2006 issue.
Bosley’s decision to bare all during a Florida bar’s wet T-shirt event has caused more than one headache for the news woman. The shenanigans happened while she was vacationing with her husband in Key West, Fla.
Video of the contest spread on the Internet, forcing Bosley to quit her anchor job at Youngstown’s WKBN Channel 27.
Bosley turned to federal court to try to block the spread of the images. In 2004, Bosley testified she had trouble finding work shortly after the Internet exposure. She has been with WOIO since 2005. In her lawsuit, Bosley said she won ownership of the photos and video and copyrighted the material in 2004.
Bosley has requested $150,000 for each instance of copyright infringement and is seeking compensatory and punitive damages of at least $1 million.
A lawyer for LFP Inc. told the Associated Press that the magazine would seek a dismissal and that the publication of the photo in a news story is protected by the First Amendment.
You’d think that nude photos of a public figure taken in a public forum would be fair use for news commentary. Not so much, probably, for a jack-off magazine.

If you speak Spanish, Italian or Korean and long to watch your daily dish of news from a naked announcer, you’re in luck.
Toronto-based Naked News, “the program with nothing to hide,†will feature NINE NAKED NEWS ANCHORS.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports,
 Toronto-based Naked News, “the program with nothing to hide,” is expanding its foreign-language coverage in an attempt to gain a worldwide audience.
The program, which features nine female anchors reading the news in the nude or stripping as they present their news segments, will now be broadcast in Spanish, Italian and Korean, along with its already available Japanese broadcasts.
Naked News President David Warga said the licensing agreements are confidential and could not divulge the names of the local affiliates that will be producing the shows in Milan, Mexico and South Korea.
The multilingual broadcasts will be available online and through mobile providers, as well as on traditional pay-per-view television stations. Naked News TV is currently available on pay-per-view in the US, Europe, Australia, Asia and Canada.
The channel gets its information from regular news services and uses professionally trained writers and directors to produce the bulletins of political, business, sport and entertainment news.
“The original Naked News English version has always focused and presented an international broadcast. Now with the addition of the foreign-language licensees, our intention at Naked News is to be a global media source, much like CNN or BBC World,” Warga said. “We have a worldwide audience, but we haven’t been able to give them localized news until now.”
Created by Fernando Pereira and Kirby Stasyna, Naked News first aired online in 1999 and created quite a lot of attention as anchors aired themselves and the news. The website was popularized mainly by word of mouth and during its height in 2001 was registering 6 million “unique visitors” a month, which was almost two-thirds of the 9 million monthly viewers registered by CNN at the time.
We here in the states are not in the dark with naked news anchors.

Stupid Celebrities Gossip linked with Naked News goes international & naked women pics.
Hollywood Reporter’s Paul J. Gough (no relation, presumably, to WSJ’s Paul Gigot) notes that some people are none to happy with Fox making hot model Lauren Jones a TV anchorwoman as part of a reality show.
 An upcoming Fox reality series about a model-turned-TV journalist is causing a stir in the East Texas city where “Anchorwoman” is being produced.
Model Lauren Jones arrived last week in Tyler, Texas, for a 30-day stint at KYTX-TV, a CBS affiliate, that will include co-anchoring the 5 p.m. newscast today. Jones, who was cast for the show by Fox 21 and the G Group, has been undergoing behind-the-scenes preparation as a reporter and anchor, her every move taped by a 40-member crew. “Anchorwoman” will run on Fox beginning in late August.
 Jones is a swimsuit model and actress whose credits include WWE’s “SmackDown!” and “The Guiding Light.” She has no journalism experience; the show will be about whether Jones can hack it in TV news. She arrived in Tyler a week ago and has been put through what a station official calls intensive training in how to read a TelePrompTer and report stories on her own.
TV newsrooms have been a staple of TV shows for years, perhaps most successfully with “The Mary Tyler Moore Show.” Upcoming Fox sitcom “Back to You,” starring Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton, will keep the genre alive. But this is the first time that a reality series will feature someone with no journalism experience who will be thrust into a job surrounded by real journalists. It has raised concerns inside and outside KYTX. “One of the last sacred grounds of integrity in local television is the local newsroom, so I guess I would say I’m disappointed to see a station, much less one in our own community, that has evidently sold its integrity,” said Brad Streit, vp and GM for KLTV-TV, the ABC affiliate in Tyler.
Yes, because, Lord knows, local TV affiliates never use hot babes with less journalistic experience to boost ratings of the newscasts. And, certainly, CBS would never hire a perky woman known more for her great legs than her reporting chops to anchor a newscast!
Newsbusters‘ Noel Sheppard suspects that what these people are “most concerned about is the likelihood that Jones will be able to read those teleprompters and smile for the cameras with equal aplomb as those making millions doing the very same thing.” Quite likely.
Certainly, France’s Melissa Theuriau has been able to juggle reading the news with a “modeling” career.

Melissa Theuriau, the French news babe most famous for getting naked on a beach, has done it again. An emailer was nice enough to send me links to some “new” topless beach photos of the lovely Theuriau but, alas, they were already down.
Bastardly has several of them, although he has put graphiti all over most of them. The bastard! Some of the clean ones appear after the jump. They’re likely not safe for work, unless you can look at naked tits at your office.

Kevin Aylward reports on the latest developments in the career of France’s “LCI Matin” news babe Melissa Theuriau, who is apparently the Gallic answer to Katie Couric with a little bit of Pamela Anderson thrown in.
She has her own website with numerous wallpapers and a photo gallery.
Kevin has dug up news that she being considered for “the evening news anchor spot” but expresses his hope that she is “passed over for that gig and in a fit decides to bring her news act to America.” More importantly, he has dug up several pictures of the lovely Theuriau frolicking around nude on a beach:
The standard practice in such situations, according to the prevailing trends on popular celebrity blogs, is for me to steal all of his images, change the filenames, and pretend they I found them myself. Instead, I invite you to click over and view the much larger (and unmasked) images for yourself. If you’re interested in hot, naked, French news babes, that is.
On the other hand, if you’re interested in recruiting her for your news team, and you speak French, Google has a huge collection of Theuriau videos. So does her personal site. She is, alas, fully clothed in all of them.
