Hilton was supposed to introduce the Pussycat Dolls to the crowd at the Kress club in Hollywood over the weekend, when Audigier got on stage and asked “do you want to see paris Hilton?”
This is when “the entire room - which had just cheered when they thought Britney Spears was coming - booed loudly. Paris was practically in tears and left without taking the stage.”

I wish I could have been there to witness Paris Hilton’s tears as she gets booed before even getting on stage, oh her show on MTV, “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF,” is apparently bombing in the ratings too, hopefully her time has passed.
Vibe Magazine readers have crowned Eminem as the best rapper alive, voting began with 64 rappers going up against each other, eventually leading to Eminem beating out Jay Z in the final two contestants.
In a statement the rapper said, “it’s obviously an honor to have won the fans’ support by being voted the Best Rapper Alive, I don’t think that there is any one rapper that is simply the best, though. Everyone who was in consideration and many others are the best at certain things, and at what they do. But since Vibe’s offering the distinction, hell yeah, I’ll accept!”
Vibe will be rolling out Eminem’s win in their November 2008 issue. Presidential hopeful Barack Obama will grace the cover of that issue.
“Vibe is thrilled we could put the debate about the Best Rapper Alive in the hands of the fans,” the mag’s music editor, Sean Fennessey, said. “Eminem isn’t just one of the most successful MCs of all time, he’s also one of the most beloved. The proof is in the voting.”
Agree or disagree? I think there is far better rappers out there than Eminem.

In sad, tragic news to screeching pimply teenagers across the land, MTV has announced that in November, ‘Total Request Live’ … or ‘TRL’ to the text-messaging generation, will be retired.
The show, which was a daily music video countdown back when MTV actually — you know, played videos — has been on the air for 10 years.
The music video show will conclude in a two-hour special on a Saturday afternoon in November, Dave Sirulnick, executive producer of “TRL,” said Monday. He stressed that the show wasn’t ending for good, but felt now was the right time to give it a break after an unprecedented run on the cable music channel.
“We want to close this era of `TRL’ in a big celebratory way, and 10 is a great number,” Sirulnick said. “And 10 is the number that `TRL’ counted down every single day for 10 years, and we hit this 10th (anniversary) and we thought, `You know what? This feels like the right time and let’s celebrate it and let’s reward it. And let’s let it have a little bit of a rest for a minute.’ Let it catch its breath! Been working hard - for 10 years!”
“TRL” debuted in September 1998 and became the splashy center of the teen pop music scene with Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, N’Sync and other acts. From its heydey until 2008, it’s been a destination for musicians, movie stars and celebrities promoting their new music, movies and other projects.
Sirulnick said “TRL” - which airs weekday afternoons from MTV’s Times Square studio - lost some luster as it aged. It peaked in 1999 with 757,000 viewers tuning in daily, according to Nielsen Media Research.
“It becomes more of a mainstay and more of an institution than - pardon the pun - the new kid on the block,” Sirulnick said.
For the finale, Sirulnick said he hopes to celebrate with many of the “folks who helped make `TRL’ what it is - whether that’s Justin (Timberlake) and his guys in N’Sync, the Backstreet Boys, Britney, Eminem - I think we would love to see all of them here.” That includes former host Carson Daly.
In a statement, Eminem said: “I’m going to miss `TRL.
‘ … Where else will I be able to start feuds, defend my honor vigorously and act like an angry teenager on national TV? Oh wait … The VMAs!”
MTV found a replacement of sorts with “FNMTV.” The show debuted over the summer in a 15-episode run hosted by Pete Wentz, bassist for rock band Fall Out Boy. Taped in Los Angeles, it aired Friday nights and televised exclusive music videos and performances by such diverse acts as Slipknot and the Jonas Brothers.
MTV said it was bringing “FNMTV” back for another run in mid-November. Like last time, there will be no video countdown with the 10 viewer favorites.
Over a year after her disastrous performance at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards, Britney Spears has been confirmed to be part of the 2008 VMAs this coming Sunday.
“MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs?” Spears tells PEOPLE in a statement. “I’m excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated.”
Spears – who has been nominated 16 times and never won a Moon Man – is up for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year for “Piece of Me.”
It’s still not known how she’ll open the show. A source confirms that the opening segment will not feature a musical performance by Spears.
Adds MTV Networks Music President Van Toffler: “Britney has done everything from perform with a snake, lock lips with Madonna and prove that what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas,” he says, referring to her lackluster performance at the awards show in Sin City last year. “I can’t wait to see what she does to kick off this year’s show.”
Here is a classic Britney Spears VMA performance in case you have forgotten.

MTV is doing the time warp on a remake of 1975 cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Many feel that MTV is jacking with taboo — that the remake shouldn’t happen.
Lou Adler, exec producer of the original film, is partnering with BermanBraun and Fox Television Studios on the new rendition. The two-hour remake will use the original screenplay by Jim Sharman and Richard O’Brien but may also include music not featured in the original.
Timetable for the start of production hasn’t been established yet but the partners aim to move forward quickly once the final elements are in place.
“I’d like to see it shown a year from this coming Halloween, but that’s up to MTV,” Adler said.
BermanBraun principal Gail Berman will exec produce the project along with partner Lloyd Braun. Berman has been attached to a “Rocky Horror” remake dating back to her tenure as Fox programming chief (Daily Variety, July 1, 2002).
The original “Rocky Horror,” starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and Meatloaf, has grossed $140 million in domestic box office over the years, primarily from the wallets of youthful audience members who have shown up for midnight screenings over the past three decades.
Hollywood is attempting to destroy every good thing we have left.
