Reporting on John Lennon’s Death (Video)

John Lennon‘s tragic death on Dec. 8, 1980, was the definitive stop-the-presses moment in rock history, overshadowing Elvis Presley’s not-all-that-surprising demise three years earlier and, going back further, the plane crash that snuffed out the promising careers of Buddy Holly and Richie Valens.

Thirty years ago, there was no MSNBC or Fox News (or Fox for that matter), so news coverage of that cold night in New York City came in the form of breaking news alerts from older, veteran newsmen, who delivered the sad news with their trademark gravitas.

Ted Koppel for ABC, a crusty BBC anchor and even a young Bill Kurtis broke the news to viewers of Chicago’s CBS station. The most widely seen and enduring announcement of the tragedy came from Howard Cosell in the ‘Monday Night Football’ broadcast booth.

The Most Awkward News Broadcast (Video)

I don’t know exactly when this little clip is from but it’s popping up all over the internet today, so I figured why not post it here?

During the 11am live news broadcast on San Diegos Channel 10 everything humanly possible went wrong, first of all they started with a shot of the weather girl reading her notes and then it went downhill from there. Watch for yourself.

I know we can all be sleepy in the morning but seriously these people are just plain stupid to let all this happen. Funny though.

Banker Caught Looking At Miranda Kerr Naked On Live TV

Do you remember these hot photos of Miranda Kerr in GQ Magazine? Maybe you were looking at them in work, well if you were then you weren’t the only one because a banker was caught looking at these photos during a Livew News broadcast.

Banker Caught Looking At Miranda Kerr Naked On Live TV

A bank’s private wealth adviser, Martin Lakos, was talking about interest rates being kept on hold but what everyone was really focusing on was the worker in the background.

The guy in the back opens up an email and then puts the Miranda photo up in full screen, even when a co-worker comes over for a chat he leaves the photo up. After realizing there is a camera right behind him focusing on his computer he turns around and laughs.

A spokesperson for Macquarie bank said “Macquarie has strict policies in place surrounding the use of technology and the issue arising from today’s live cross on 7 News is being dealt with internally. We take matters such as the unacceptable use of technology extremely seriously

This is hilarious, of course people are acting all burthurt over this which is ridiculous … it’s not porn or anything and besides we all need to find a way to make it through the day right?

WGN Reporter Pat Tomasulo Makes Little Kid Cry

You know the saying, “Pick on someone your own size?” Tell that to this reporter from Chicago’s WGN-TV, who played a little b-ball with a child and proceeded to dunk on him, yell in his face and make him cry.

He almost redeemed himself. After the boy started crying, Pat Tomasulo said, “I feel like the lowest person on the planet right now.” But then, the reporter took it back.

Hey, Tomasulo, we’re curious…were you bullied as a kid?
