Dorian Leigh, who combined pristine blue eyes, curling eyelashes, an arresting intelligence and intoxicating sexuality to become one of history’s most photographed models — perhaps the first to truly merit the adjective super — died Monday in Falls Church, Va. She was 91.
The death was announced by her grandson Thibaut Dubois.
Ms. Leigh graced seven Vogue covers in 1946, according to a New Yorker magazine article of the time, and in the next six years appeared on more than 50 more covers of various magazines, Playbill reported.
Her images in Revlon’s “Fire and Ice” nail polish and lipstick campaign in the 1950s — “For you who love to flirt with fire …who dare to skate on thin ice” — were shot by Richard Avedon and became Madison Avenue legend.
“Dorian was truly the best model of our time,” Eileen Ford, the doyenne of the modeling agency industry, said in an interview with The Roanoke Times in 1997. “She instinctively knew what every photographer wanted, and she came alive just at the moment the shutter clicked.”
Cecil Beaton wrote in his book “Photobiography” (1951) that Ms. Leigh was as demanding as the eminent photographers who shot her, including Louise Dahl-Wolfe and Irving Penn.
He said she could convey many moods, including “the sweetness of an 18-century pastel, the allure of a Sargent portrait, of the poignancy of some unfortunate woman who sat for Modigliani.”
Ms. Leigh’s mystique was enhanced by her many romances, which included five marriages — counting the one in Mexico to a Spanish marquis who turned out to be already married. There were also the many real or imagined affairs with famous writers, musicians and photographers, eagerly tabulated by gossip columnists. Ms. Leigh was definitely attractive, standing 5 feet 5 inches, with an hourglass figure and an alluring smile.

Oscar De La Hoya is not denying the scandalous photos leaked on the web are him, he is however, still claiming they’re photoshopped.
If they are photoshopped, that’s a better job than all the Britney Spears magazine shoots combined. Although, his head does look a little jacked up in some of them.

De La Hoya’s attorney contacted X17 Online, asking that the pictures be removed from their site, saying:
“We are aware that you have posted on your website X-17 today certain photographs which you purport depict Mr. De La Hoya…the images are not newsworthy…As you know, Mr. De La Hoya has never consented to your use of his image for any purpose.
Accordingly, demand is made that you immediately take down these images, withdraw them from your website, and make no further use of them.”
If they are fake, why does Oscar De La Hoya and his attorney care about their removal?
According to the NY Daily News, the pictures were taken by a stripper at Scores. The stripper claims to have carried on a year-long affair with him. Whenever Oscar was away from his family he’d fly her to wherever he was.
“She says she took the photos at the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia on May 17. He wore size 9 ladies shoes. He also liked wearing thigh-high nylons. He liked sex games. He and the girl would sit in a chair that they’d pretend was a motorcycle. He’d pretend he was the girl on the back of motorcycle. She’d be the guy. He’d grab her around the waist and squeal, ‘Faster! Faster!”

The pictures were taken in some hotel, one of the pictures shows the fire escape route posted on the inside of the door. Who took these pictures? PLEASE tell me it wasn’t his wife!

First Shanna Moakler gets kicked to the curb by Travis Barker…now “Dancing with the Stars” kicks her to the curb in only the 2nd week of competition. Damn,…your life sucks!
Despite being eliminated on Wednesday’s edition of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars – after she and her pro-dancer partner Jesse DeSoto performed an only adequate mambo the night before – Shanna Moakler seemed upbeat after the show wrapped.
The former Miss U.S.A., enjoying an Amstel light and a cigarette, told PEOPLE, “We had fun, and I did the best that I could do,” even, if now, “it’s back to reality.”
Moakler said her Dancing workout helped her shed some of the weight she’d gained while pregnant with daughter Alabama Luella Barker, now 9 months old. (Moakler is currently divorcing Alabama’s father, rocker Travis Barker, whom she married in 2004. They also have a son, Landon, 2, and Moakler has another daughter, Atiana, 7, with boxer Oscar de la Hoya.)
“I’m seven pounds lighter,” she said. “I’ve lost some inches – my waist, my hips, everywhere. It’s all good. I’m still voluptuous, curves in the right places. I want to keep dancing. Maybe Jesse can give me some lessons.”
Of her experience on the show, she says, “The fantasy … would have definitely been wonderful to continue doing, but reality is I had a reality show (MTV’s Meet the Barkers), and that’s fine. I love my babies and I’m going to keep dancing and get back to work.” source
