Angelina Jolie To Play Patrizia Reggiani In Gucci Movie

Angelina Jolie is in talks to star in the new Ridley Scott movie, “Gucci”, which delves into the high stakes world of fashion and money in the seventies and eighties.

Jolie will be playing Patrizia Reggiani, who was accused of murdering her husband, Maurizio Guzzi, after he sold his multi-million dollar stocks, in 1995.

It was said that she hired a hit man to take him out, so that she could lay claim to his fortune. She was sentenced to 29 years in prison after being convicted in 1998.

Reggiani’s lawyer, Gianni Dedola, maintains that while she threatened to murder Gucci on numerous occasions, that she wouldn’t have gone through with it. The defense in the case claimed that Reggiani was a victim of blackmail and was described as a “golden cow” for the co-defendants in the case.

Gucci’s former psychic claimed that Reggiani pestered her constantly to find a killer to murder her husband because she didn’t have the courage to do it herself.

According to the studio, Fox 2000, the script will focus on “the glamorous days of the Gucci family dynasty in the 1970s and ’80s, when the family was selling $500 million in product annually.”

Rumor has it that Leonardo DiCaprio is being tipped to play Maurizio, but this has yet to be confirmed.
