Lane Garrison is behind real bars after being convicted of vehicular manslaughter. He claims that he is going through a harrowing experience, but manages to put the tissue box down to write to Access Hollywood.

“Greetings and Happy New Year to you and everyone at Access Hollywood from Donovan State Prison [in California]. Never did I think I would be saying the words ‘happy & prison’ in the same sentence and not be on a set. It’s pure irony coming from the show and now living the real deal. It’s surreal and mind-blowing to say the least. Just this past Monday they let a group of inmates watch the season premiere of Prison Break. It felt like an out of body experience as I stood around a crowd of tattooed felons watching Michael Scofield [Wentworth Miller's character on Prison Break] try to escape … all of us longing to be free as well! This has been the hardest year of my life. I hope people, young and old, are learning from my mistakes and what can happen when you drink and drive. I have much to say about the pain I’ve felt and seen inside of prison. It has been eye-opening and a harrowing experience.”
It almost sounds like he is just writing out of sheer boredom and trying to make contact with the world. Then he goes and pimps himself for some press.
“Unfortunately I can’t do any interviews just yet, but as soon as I can I look forward to talking to you and your staff. You can stay in contact with my manager.”
I am busting out my soapbox. What the hell is wrong with him? He is responsible for the death of a 17 year old kid. While he is sitting in jail begging for some press, that 17 year old boy’s family is missing their son. While he watches tv, there is an empty room in that home and hole in his mother’s heart. He is pining for impending freedom… Vahagn’s mother desperately wants her son who can never come home again. Why don’t you think about that instead of how to score some press.
I say…send him up the shank line for being an ass. What kind of creepy 27 year old hangs out a high school parties anyway?

“Prison Break” actor Lane Garrison should be charged with manslaughter and drunken driving for a car crash that killed a teenage passenger and injured two others, police said Wednesday.
Police Chief David L. Snowden said investigators have asked county prosecutors to charge Garrison, 26, with felony gross vehicular manslaughter; driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Investigators recommended that the DUI allegation carry the enhancement that he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.15 percent or more. An adult driver in California is legally over the limit at 0.08 percent.
Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney, said that the police report was under review but that no decision had been made on whether to file charges.
Garrison’s Land Rover jumped a curb and struck a tree Dec. 2, killing 17-year-old Beverly Hills High School student Vahaghn Setian and injuring two 15-year-old girls also in the vehicle. Garrison suffered minor injuries.
Garrison’s attorney, Harland Braun, said the police decision to announce details of the investigation before charges have been filed was “a totally irresponsible thing.”
“It was basically a public trial … designed to influence potential jurors,” Braun said.
Braun said he had not yet seen any of the evidence or police reports on the investigation.
Snowden said Garrison had a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 percent. After the crash, police said, the actor volunteered to submit a blood sample, and analysis of it found he also had cocaine in his system.
Police were waiting to hear from the district attorney’s office before making an arrest.
If charged and convicted of gross vehicular manslaughter, Garrison, a Dallas native who plays “Tweener” on the Fox drama, could face up to 10 years in prison.

An emotional Lane Garrison was seen weeping and looking very distraught as he left a Los Angeles area church.
Garrison was the driver in a weekend accident that killed 17-year-old Vahagn Setian and seriously injured two other teens. He exited Good Shepherd Church in Beverly Hills with tears streaming down his face and his head in his hands.
The “Prison Break” actor showed up to the church at 11:30 Wednesday morning, spending 15 minutes inside before his tearful exit.
I honestly feel sorry for this guy. I can’t imagine living with that guilt.

Lane Garrison drank “several shots” of Grey Goose vodka at a party before driving a Land Rover that crashed in Beverly Hills, killing 17-year-old high school student Vahagn Setian and injuring two 15-year-old girls.
This contradicts the account of Harland Braun, Garrison’s attorney, who told TMZ that the “Prison Break” star had consumed only one drink at the party, and that he doubted that Garrison was intoxicated when he took the wheel.
Five eyewitnesses from the party tell TMZ that Garrison arrived at the party with Setian and two women, whom he had met earlier at a gas station. They say Lane brought a bottle of Grey Goose vodka to the party and unveiled the bottle to the crowd with a flourish. The gathering was described by several attendees as a “kick back of around 30 people.” Two of the eyewitnesses claim that Garrison took four or five shots of vodka. Two others claim they witnessed the actor throw back six or seven shots. Several eyewitnesses also claim Garrison offered shots to other partygoers and say photographs were taken of Garrison consuming alcohol.
Later in the evening, when the alcohol at the party was running low, the eyewitnesses say that Garrison agreed to drive out to buy more, and took Setian and two girls with him. About four hours elapsed, they say, before they became concerned and drove out to look for Garrison, Setian and the young women. After discovering the accident, they then drove to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where they learned that Setian had died.
Attorney Harland Braun tells TMZ that ultimately the results of Garrison’s blood alcohol test could tell the story. The results of that test are two weeks away.
