Wesley Snipes Begins 3-Year Prison Sentence Next Week

The date is set for Wesley Snipes, and he’s finally out of options. The ‘Blade’ hero was ordered to start his 3-year jail sentence for tax evasion on Dec. 9 at noon, Associated Press reports.

Snipes is scheduled to serve his time at a federal prison in Pennsylvania. Snipes, who has been free on bail since the 2008 conviction, has attempted to have his case overturned to no avail.

Prosecutors in Snipes’ case alleged that the actor had not paid any taxes on the reported $38 million he earned since 1999, in addition to several misdemeanor offenses. Although the star was acquitted of more serious felony charges , a Florida judge has ordered Snipes to begin serving his three-year sentence for his 2008 felony tax conviction.

“The Defendant Snipes had a fair trial … The time has come for the judgment to be enforced,” wrote U.S. District Judge William Terrell Hodges.

Lindsay Lohan Might Be Heading To The Slammer

The latest Lindsay Lohan drama has been announced and this time she may be making her second trip to the slammer pretty soon.

Lindsay Lohan Might Be Heading To The Slammer

TMZ reports that Lindsay might be heading to jail because she violated the terms of her probation, we will all find out next month when she goes to court to face the judge.

Judge Marsha Revel apparently made it crystal clear that Lindsay must attend alcohol education courses once every 7 days and if she doesn’t she was going straight to jail.

Because this is Lindsay we are talking about we all know she broke this agreement, but the bitch was clever in her ways because the school she attended was to only report to courts if she didn’t show up for a solid 21 days, Lindsay knew this and showed up on the 21st day – right when they were to report her. Meaning she met the schools requirement but also ignored the judge’s ruling of attending every 7 days.

Her lawyer said “We have received no negative written report from the program and contend Ms. Lohan is therefore in compliance.”

TMZ say that while the school have no problem with this going on, the judge is pissed off and might just send Lindsay Lohan to the slammer.

O.J. Simpson Gets 15 years in Prison

A broken O.J. Simpson was sentenced Friday to as much as 15 years in prison for a hotel armed robbery after a judge rejected his apology and said, “It was much more than stupidity.”

The 61-year-old football Hall of Famer stood shackled and stone-faced when Judge Jackie Glass quickly rattled off his punishment soon after he made a rambling, five-minute plea for leniency, choking back tears as he told her: “I didn’t want to steal anything from anyone. … I’m sorry, sorry.”

Simpson said he was simply trying to retrieve sports memorabilia and other mementos, including his first wife’s wedding ring, from two dealers when he stormed a Las Vegas hotel room on Sept. 13, 2007.

But the judge emphasized that it was a violent confrontation in which at least one gun was drawn, and she said someone could have been killed. She said the evidence was overwhelming, with the planning, the confrontation itself and the aftermath all recorded on audio or videotape.

Glass, a no-nonsense judge known for her tough sentences, imposed such a complex series of consecutive and concurrent sentences that even many attorneys watching the case were confused as to how much time Simpson got.

Outside court, Goldman’s father, Fred Goldman, and sister, Kim, said they were delighted with the sentence.

“We are thrilled, and it’s a bittersweet moment. It was satisfying seeing him in shackles like he belongs.”

The Goldman’s took a measure of credit for Simpson’s fate, saying their relentless pursuit of his assets to satisfy a $33.5 million wrongful-death judgment “pushed him over the edge” and led him to commit the robbery to recover some of his sports memorabilia.
