Bar Refaeli, the Israeli supermodel and Leonardo DiCarprio’s girlfriend is rumored to be the 2008 cover model for the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
Here is a sneak peek into the 2008 swimsuit issue:
How the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue came about?
In the winter of 1964, Sports Illustrated magazine was in its usual sales slump. So the editorial staff at S.I. decided to try something new.
Babette Marche, a model in a racy (for the time) bikini was splashed across the cover for their new February issue and - surprise! - the edition was almost an instant sellout.
Soon, hot-blooded sports fans by the millions were waiting at mailboxes for delivery of the Sports llustrated Swimsuit Issue in an annual winter tradition.
Almost single-handedly, Sports Illustrated had launched the Era of the Supermodel - giving rise to the careers of Tyra Banks, Christie Brinkley, Rachel Hunter, Elle Macpherson and Kathy Ireland (to name only a few) who have since graced the cover.
The 2006 landmark “topless” cover featured models Veronica Varekova, Elle Macpherson, Rebecca Romijn, Rachel Hunter, Daniela Pestova, Elsa Benitez, Carolyn Murphy and Yamila Diaz.
Inside, Heidi Klum was the featured photo spread and, (just to keep it fairly legit as a sports issue), tennis pro Maria Sharapova also appeared in the lower right hand corner over the sub-headline, “…As You’ve Never Seen Her.

Rod Stewart’s other daughter, Ruby Stewart, is the new face and body of Michelle for George lingerie.
The 20-year-old is thrilled:
“Being asked to be the face and body of one of the UK’s designer lingerie brands is amazing! Michelle for George lingerie at Asda is gorgeous and fits perfectly.”
Ruby’s modeling runs in the family. Kimberly, Rod’s ex-wife Rachel Hunter, and Rod’s wife Penny Lancaster have all modeled lingerie for Ultimo (in the pics below). But I think Ruby is winning this contest. Sorry, Kim. And geez, Rod, you’ve got some lovely ladies around you.

The 37-year-old supermodel was spotted ca noodling on a Miami beach with a lad thirteen years her junior. The fella is none other than hunky 24-year-old ice hockey star Jarret Stoll. Rachel divorced singer Rod Stewart in November 2006. Good for her!
The prospect of seeing supermodel Kate Moss in lingerie has crashed websites, reports HELLO magazine.
Kate Moss has made her first movie debut in a series of short films for lingerie firm Agent Provocateur’s website – and the images have caused such a sensation the site crashed under the demand.
The four films, which will be released over the next few weeks, last just four minutes and show the supermodel acting out a seductive dream sequence in various states of undress. Leaving Las Vegas director Mike Figgis, who shot the films over two nights in a mansion in London’s Portland Place, revealed that the beauty was more nervous about her strong Croydon accent than stripping off for the cameras.

The 32-year-old’s modelling career is looking better than ever, with campaigns for labels such as Calvin Klein, Burberry and Longchamp set to appear this autumn. But her latest role is perhaps a tentative step to more on-screen parts – she is reported to be taking the lead role in a film about Paula Yates and Michael Hutchence. Her only previous acting experience has been as a pole dancer in a White Stripes’ music video directed by Sofia Coppola.
Also looking to strut her stuff in her undies is Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding. The singer has landed a modelling deal to be the new face of lingerie firm Ultimo, following in the footsteps of Rachel Hunter and Helena Christensen. The blonde bombshell will receive a £100,000 pay cheque to front the new campaign. “Sarah isn’t afraid of showing off her body – she’s got a great figure and she knows it,” a source told a British newspaper.
Here’s a reasonably safe-for-work video of the first ad:
Several nude and semi-nude shots from Vogue Homme magazine are thumbnailed below the fold. Definitely NSFW.
Rachel Hunter is finally free of Rod Stewart, apparently answering his old question “Do you think I’m sexy?” in the negative.
SUPERMODEL Rachel Hunter is celebrating after learning she will be divorced from rocker Rod Stewart within days. The beauty has been in a legal battle with Rod for SEVEN YEARS. But last night the mum of two told pals: “I should be a free woman by the end of the week.”
Rachel, 36, who has been single since splitting from ice hockey player Sean Avery last year, also confided in friends: “My lawyers told me the divorce will be coming through finally this week so I can move on. It feels great to be a free woman at last.”
She was speaking as a new set of photos were released showing her looking as sensational as ever.
Rachel’s children, Renee, 13, and Liam, 11, are by superstar Rod, 61.
he couple married in 1990 after a three-month, whirlwind romance. They split nine years later. But Rachel had agreed not to take the singer to the cleaners by signing a prenuptial agreement. Lawyers have finally thrashed out a deal whereby Rod, who has a £100million fortune, provides maintenance for Liam and Renee.
And Rachel intends to pay her own way. She has said: “I have to work like everyone else. I have bills to pay.
Well, that’s a relief. It’s not clear what photos the Sun refers to, although it mentions later that she recently appeared in Sports Illustrated. The photo below accompanies the article, although it is dated 2003.
Hunter does indeed look nice along with the other supermodels on the cover of the 2006 SI swimsuit issue.
Maria Sharapova, Rebecca Romijn, and Carolyn Murphy are the most notable inside-the-covers models, though.
Rocker Rod Stewart’s ex wife Rachel Hunter is reportedly so lonely that she is calling for any interested men to ask her out. The still very sexy Hunter, who has two children with the Stewart, says she can’t find a date and says all the handsome men she meets are taken.
The stunning looker is launching her own reality TV show ‘Style Me, With Rachel Hunter’ this month and says interested suitors should be gainfully employed, like children and be ready for a make-over. However, if you are a rock star, you need not apply - Hunter vowed last year never to date another musician again. She said: “It’s probably a good idea not to, if only to let the press interest die down. I haven’t meant to date rock stars … In Los Angeles I have plenty of friends working in the film and music industries, so it just ends up that way.”
One wonders what a supermodel considers “gainfully employed.” She probably means making money like a rock star. Yet, not actually being a rock star.
Still, one would think there are plenty of well-off men in their early 40s who would be happy to have Hunter and her kids. Apparently, though, incredibly hot Hollywood women of a certain age have trouble finding companionship, as Teri Hatcher voiced similar complaints a few months back. It’s truly sad.
