Here is the first image of Sacha Baron Cohen in his Saddam Hussein-inspired costume for his new film, “The Dictator.”
The movie is about a Hussein-like dictator who gets secretly replaced by a lookalike goat herder and now must find new meaning in a life in New York City. The film is inspired by “Zabibah and the King,” a book about a benevolent dictator that was revealed to be written by Hussein himself.
Creepy.
No matter how big the beard, they haven’t been able to hide Sacha.
Directed by Larry Charles, the film hits theaters May 11th, 2012.
In one of the most random castings ever, it’s been announced that Sacha Baron Cohen will be playing Queen front man Freddie Mercury in a new movie based on the band.
The movie is set to start shooting in 2011 and was written by Peter Morgan, it’s said the movie will be about the bands rise to fame not center around Freddie dying of AIDS. A rep for the production company said…
“Queen is one of the greatest rock bands of all time, and a music brand all unto itself, Freddie Mercury was an awe-inspiring performer, so with Sacha in the starring role coupled with Peter’s screenplay and the support of Queen, we have the perfect combination to tell the real story behind their success.”
They haven’t decided if Sacha will sing or if they will just use Freddie’s vocals but the other members of Queen have given permission for them to use all their songs, making it the first time they’ve done this for a movie.
At first I what the fuck? But when I think of it, Sacha kind of does look a bit like Freddie and he isn’t a bad actor when he takes on serious roles. What do you think?

Cohen, 39, and Fisher, 34, who’ve been engaged for two years, said “I do” in front of a few close relatives in a private traditional Jewish ceremony in Paris last Monday.
Fisher wrote in an email to friends the following day:
“We did it – we’re married!. It was the absolute best day of my life and in so many beautiful moments I missed you all so much.
I thought of you as everything was happening, but Sacha and I wanted no fuss – just us!”
Cohen was spotted wearing a ring in Paris on Sunday, according to X17.
They welcomed a daughter, Olive, in 2007.
In 2005, Fisher told British newspaper, “Sacha makes me laugh more than anyone.”
She added that their relationship works, despite the fact that it’s unconventional.
“Instead of ‘Hey, honey, did you pick up the dry cleaning?,’ it was ‘Did you get beaten up? Are you getting sued? Is there a warrant out for your arrest?’ ” she said of Cohen who, at the time, headlined the controversial comedy, Borat.

It’s all fun and games until someone gets confined to a wheelchair — which is exactly what one woman is claiming after she was allegedly attacked and left “crippled” by Sacha Baron Cohen (as Bruno) at a Bingo hall in 2007.
Richelle Olson has sued Cohen, NBC Universal and others claiming they told her Bruno was a celeb and would appear and call numbers at the charity bingo game she ran for the elderly in Palmdale, CA.
Olson was none too happy when she saw Bruno, whom she describes as an “extreme, outrageous, offensive caricature of a gay man dressed in sexually revealing clothing with an Austrian accent…”
Olson alleges Bruno used “vulgar and offensive language” and when she tried taking the mic from him, a “physical struggle ensued” and Cohen “offensively touched, pushed and battered” her, causing her to fall to the ground.
She then claims three cameramen and others rushed the stage … “where defendants attacked [her] for a period of one to five minutes to intentionally create a dramatic emotional response … while [they] recorded her humiliation and embarrassment.”
After the alleged assault was over, the suit says Olson went into another room where she was “sobbing uncontrollably” … then was rendered unconscious … “falling forward onto the thinly covered concrete slab, passing out and causing her to hit her head.”
The suit says Olson was rushed to the hospital with a “diagnosis of two brain bleeds” — and that she has been confined to a wheelchair and walker ever since.
Olson — the Executive Director of Desert Valley Charities — and her husband are suing for unspecified damages, including loss of marital relations.
Sacha Baron Cohen pissed off Italian police and fashionistas alike yesterday after wreaking havoc through a major Milan fashion show as Bruno — his flamboyantly gay version of Borat — without permission.
After somehow sneaking his way onto the catwalk in a ridiculously awesome velcro suit, Cohen managed to get about halfway down the runway before a bunch of hoity toity tightasses freaked out and dragged the dude off the stage and into a waiting police car.
