Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Whitney Isleib is caught up in a bit of controversy over her chosen Halloween costume this year. Isleib thought it would be a good idea to dress as Lil Wayne this year, and then post the images to her Facebook page.
Because she is a cheerleader for the notoriously strict Cowboys program, someone took notice and decided that maybe they were offended. So they sent her pictures to the sports blog deadspin.com.
Whitney’s two friends look very offended.
Look, I don’t see an issue with this, but in an age where if you aren’t completely politically correct someone wants to sue, beat or ruin you, I can see where this idiotic situation will probably lead. To hell with all the whiny “that’s so rude” douchebags complaining about Whitney’s costume, I have seen 50 images of people dressed as “zombie Billy Mays” and the “zombie Michael Jackson mask” (or is that him when he was alive? I can’t tell). No one is offended? I’m not, I think it’s hilarious. Really, Whitney Isleib’s costume just pisses people way the hell off, but costumes portraying the rotting flesh of dead celebrities are just “clever”?
People make me laugh. Beware, one of the images below has a dude wearing white makeup. Albinos are going to go completely nuts when this gets out.

ESPN analyst Steve Phillips had a fling with a 22-year-old production assistant, who, after being dumped, taunted his wife with “Fatal Attraction”-like phone calls and a letter that bragged about her sexcapades with Phillips while taking pot shots at their “loveless marriage.”
How completely and utterly raunchy!
The former Met general manager, whose tenure with the team was rocked by admissions of infidelity, confessed to his wife and local cops that he had slept with ESPN assistant Brooke Hundley several times this past summer before dumping her.
In retaliation, the jilted young woman repeatedly phoned Phillips’ wife, Marni, saying, “We both can’t have him!” an explosive police report claims.

Hundley’s desperate actions — including accidentally smashing her car into a stone column while speeding away from the Phillips’ home after leaving the letter — terrified the family, according to the Wilton, Conn., police report.
“I have extreme concerns about the health and safety of my kids and myself,” Steve Phillips said in a police statement, adding that the woman became “obsessive and delusional” after he dumped her.
But Phillips, 46, declined to pursue criminal charges against Hundley, a Bristol, Conn., woman who cops learned may have used an ESPN computer to contact Phillips’ 16-year-old son on Facebook while posing as a high-school classmate.
Phillips — who admitted having multiple affairs with women while working for the Mets — is now being sued for divorce by his 40-year-old wife, the mother of his four sons. Two months ago, Phillips deeded the family’s five-bedroom, multimillion-dollar Wilton home to her.
A source told The Post Phillips has been suspended for a week by ESPN — which hired him in 2005 as a baseball analyst — because of the scandal.

Pretty former “Late Show” staffer Stephanie Birkitt revealed in her diary that she continued having sex with boss David Letterman even after moving in with her CBS-producer boyfriend, who later allegedly tried to extort him over the affair.

Letterman and Birkitt enjoyed romantic hikes last fall at his sprawling ranch in eastern Montana — where he was married in March — while her boyfriend, “48 Hours Mystery” producer Robert “Joe” Halderman, stayed home in Connecticut, the sources said.
At the time, Birkitt, 34, insisted to Halderman that she and the 62-year-old Letterman had just “a platonic relationship,” a source said.
“I’m his best friend,” Birkitt told the worried 51-year-old Halderman, the source said.
Letterman was such a good “friend” that at least once a week, he also would drive Birkitt home to Norwalk, Conn., where she had been sharing a house with Halderman since he divorced his wife in 2004, sources said. The TV funnyman lived with his longtime girlfriend and their son in Westchester.
The multimillionaire comic even did his best to keep Birkitt, a graduate of Benjamin Cardozo Law School, on his payroll.
After she graduated in June 2008, he offered her a job as his personal lawyer, the sources said.
Birkitt later tried to use the generous offer to persuade Halderman to have children with her, saying she would bring in the bucks in her new job and he could stay home as a Mr. Mom, the sources said.
Halderman exploded when he read Birkitt’s diary in December and learned that she was still carrying on a steamy affair with Letterman, the sources said.
The bombshell details in the sensational case emerged as Letterman returned to the “Late Show” set for the first time since Thursday, when he stunned his audience by revealing he had had sexual affairs with female staffers and allegedly had been the target of a related $2 million extortion plot by Halderman.
A clearly chastened Letterman was greeted with thunderous applause during the show’s taping in the Ed Sullivan Theater in Midtown last night.
“Wow, that weekend went fast,” Letterman deadpanned as he opened his monologue.
Sitting down at his desk, Letterman turned serious, saying, “No, I’m not having sex” with any staff members currently, and insisting, “You can’t be victimized by criminals.”
I’m not fairly certain why, but I could care less about his seedy affairs. Two consenting adults, etc. I do feel sorry for his wife, but it’s up to her to forgive him or not. I don’t think Letterman should lose his job over it.

Before the ratings for Monday night’s show are even announced, David Letterman already has a boost … from his studio audience. The crowd roared its approval for Letterman during Monday’s taping.
“Did your weekend just fly by,” Letterman joked with the crowd in his monologue before tackling a serious apology for his wife, Regina Lasko.
“She has been horribly hurt by my behavior, and when something happens like that, if you hurt a person and it’s your responsibility, you try to fix it,” Letterman told the crowd about wife Regina Lasko during his monologue.
“At that point, there’s only two things that can happen: Either you’re going to make some progress and get it fixed, or you’re going to fall short and perhaps not get it fixed, so let me tell you folks, I got my work cut out for me.”
Letterman was also apologetic for his staff in the midst of the scandal.
“I’m terribly sorry that I put the staff in that position. Inadvertently, I just wasn’t thinking ahead. And, moreover, the staff here has been wonderfully supportive to me, not just through this furor, but through all the years that we’ve been on television and especially all the years here at CBS, so, again, my thanks to the staff for, once again, putting up with something stupid I’ve gotten myself involved in.”
Call me cynical, but this scandal is sure coming at a good time for ratings.

Photos of East Cleveland Mayor Eric Brewer dressed in drag and posing in sexy (MySpace-like) positions have surfaced just days before the primary election.
Brewer will not confirm or deny whether the photos are of him. He told reporters,
“Are you all part of the Eric Brewer for governor campaign? You need a sex scandal if you want to get to the next level.â€
But he did criticize WKYC Channel 3, saying the station aired the story Wednesday without contacting him for comment. He demanded the station reveal how it obtained the photos.
Brewer said, reading a statement outside his campaign headquarters, next to City Hall on Euclid Avenue,
“I had not seen any of the pictures until WKYC’s broadcast yesterday evening.”
Brewer accused his mayoral opponent, City Council President Gary Norton, and members of the Police Department of circulating copies of the photos. He believes police got involved because he fired multiple officers for misconduct during his first term.

Taylor Branch, a historian best known for his books on the civil rights era, had a secret that he kept for years: 79 interviews — mostly late-night conversations at the White House — that he conducted with Bill Clinton over the course of his presidency.
The interviews are the basis for Branch’s new book, ‘The Clinton Tapes: Wrestling History With the President,’ which is to be published Sept. 29.
Now that the conversations are going public, Clinton has some misgivings about them, Branch said in an interview with USA Today.
“I think it’s fair to say he’s nervous,” he said, explaining that Clinton has spent hours on the phone with him since he received page proofs of the book. While he wouldn’t discuss Clinton’s concerns, Branch said “I didn’t change anything that he asked me to change.”
Clinton and Branch met while working on George McGovern’s presidential campaign in 1972, according to USA Today. The two lost touch after that, but Clinton began inviting Branch to the White House for the conversations in 1993. He wanted to make sure historians would some day have access to what was going on in his presidency behind the scenes, Branch said.
In one 1999 conversation, Clinton, who had avoided talking to Branch about the Monica Lewinsky affair that led to his impeachment, finally let out that he had the affair at a moment of weakness. It began in 1995 after a series of setbacks including the death of his mother, the Democrats’ loss of Congress in 1994 and the Whitewater investigation. “I cracked; I just cracked,” Clinton told Branch.
Clinton also told Branch about an argument he had with Vice President Al Gore after Gore lost the 2000 election. Clinton said that Gore should have let him campaign in Arkansas or New Hampshire. Clinton was popular in both states, and either one would have given Gore enough electoral votes to win. Gore replied that Clinton’s scandals were a “drag” on him throughout the campaign, and the two “exploded” at each other, according to Branch’s book.
The interviews were kept secret from nearly everyone on Clinton’s staff except for his scheduler. Branch would keep running lists of questions on issues of the day, and when he was summoned to the White House, he taped the conversations, turning them over to the president after he was done with them. He told USA Today that he later learned Clinton hid the tapes in his sock drawer.
In a Q&A with GQ magazine, Branch said that the Clinton he saw during the interviews was more idealistic and steadfast than the person who sometimes got hammered in the media for being indecisive. But Branch couldn’t say anything about it because of worries that the investigators probing Clinton would subpoena the tapes.
“I couldn’t communicate with people, because I felt like I was in a different galaxy,” Branch said. “I didn’t see a way of fighting it that didn’t endanger the project. …So I just basically had to be quiet and not talk to people.”

In an interview set to air Monday on the ‘Tyra Banks Show,’ Levi Johnston, the father of Bristol Palin’s infant son, described some tension with Alaska’s first family.
He told Banks that his former fiancee lets him visit but won’t let him take the baby out, and that Bristol’s mother, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, probably knew the teenage couple were having sex. “Moms are pretty smart,” he told Banks.
The Palin camp fired back in a statement from the family’s spokesperson, Meghan Stapleton, released Friday.
“Bristol did not even know Levi was going on the show. We’re disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship.
Bristol’s focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence. It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well being of the child.”
“Bristol realizes now that she made a mistake in her relationship and is the one taking responsibility for their actions,” the statement concludes.
