“GQ” magazine has named busty blonde bombshell Scarlett Johansson as their Babe Of The Year for 2010 in their December issue.
Per their website:
“At 26, she remains fresh-faced, curious, trying on new moods and outlets of expression as easily as she changes her hair color. This is what we love about Scarlett: that she’s game, that she’s good, that she can try on all these guises without seeming to try too hard. And all the while still seem genuinely like the observant, inquisitive (and very cute) girl in transition we fell for in Lost in Translation.”
When asked by “GQ” what she loves most about her work, she couldn’t quite find the words to describe it. She said, “I don’t know if I can answer it, actually. It’s sort of like asking someone what feels good about playing an instrument. It just satisfies some part of you. There’s this indescribable thing that happens when you know that something’s working, a sense of timing and everything coming together. Also there is a the problem-solving part of it that’s interesting. I like taking apart something and trying to figure out what will make this interesting to watch. What’s going to make this delicious.”

His best movies (in my humble opinion) are “Inception”, “Titanic” and “The Departed”. And he did it all without the need to go over to the dark side.
Christina Applegate
Christina gained a wide audience playing the ditzy blonde, Kelly Bundy on the hit sitcom, “Married With Children.” Since, she has starred in “Employee Of The Month”, “Samantha Who?” and “Going The Distance”. She has since enjoyed a thriving career.
Justin Timberlake
Justin came to popularity on the Mickey Mouse Club, but not before he tried out for “Star Search” and failed. But that didn’t stop his ambitions. Justin won two Grammy Awards in 2008 for his album, “FutureSex/LoveSounds”. He has also recently starred in new movie, “Social Network”, in which he plays Sean Parker.
Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett first came to fame as a child in the 1994 movie, “North”. Afterward, she starred in “The Horse Whisperer” and “Lost In Translation”, and has had many other starring roles since. She has also attempted a music career with Pete Yorn. This has earned her a small following, but she has a lot of potential.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt
At the age of seven, Joseph appeared on a select few episodes of “Family Ties”. Since, he’s enjoyed a wide array of successes in television and film. His stint on “3rd Rock From The Sun” ran from 1996 to 2001 and he’s also held roles on “Roseanne”, “L.A. Law” and “China Beach”. His latest, greatest movie to date is “Inception”.
Natalie Portman
Natalie has been a successful actress ever since she was a young lady. Her biggest film was the “Star Wars” trilogy, where she played Padme Amidala, opposite Hayden Christensen. In 2003, Natalie earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Harvard University. She has said, “I don’t care if college ruins my career. I’d rather be smart than a movie star.”
She has starred in “Garden State”, “Cold Mountain”, “The Other Boleyn Girl”, among others.
Sean Astin
Sean started out in a couple of small TV shows before rising to fame as the star of “The Goonies”. His followup role was Samwise Gangee in the “Lord Of The Rings” movies. He has since had roles in “50 First Dates”, “Click” and “Rudy”. He makes his return to film with “The Witches Of Oz”.
Lacey Chabert
Lacey is mostly known for her roles in “Party Of Five” and as Gretchen Wieners in the movie, “Mean Girls”, alongside Lindsay Lohan. She has done voice work for “The Wild Thornberrys” and “Family Guy”. Unlike Lindsay, Lacey has really steered clear of anything harmful to herself or her career.

But then she surprised us by managing to conduct a relationship with another celebrity for a long time, all in secret, such that we didn’t know she was even dating the Van Wilder star until they were practically married. You still never see them together, really, which makes us think there’s something to this relationship. Like, they might even have conversations.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver
You may not like his or her politics, but you’ve got to admit, at this point they’re like America’s almost-gorgeous-but-actually-kind-of-weird-looking aunt and uncle. Apparently, back when aspiring New York governor Andrew Cuomo was married to a Kennedy, none of the rest of the clan liked him in Hyannis because he wouldn’t play football and horse around. You KNOW Arnold horses around. Better than anybody.

Here is some news that will sure turn your stomach – The Situation, aka Mike Sorrentino, from MTV’s Jersey Shore is set to make more than a whopping $5 million this year.
He will get $60,000 per episode of Jersey Shore after bonus incentives, based on ratings. While event appearances will bring him in $1 million (he gets between $15,000-$50,000 for each one). He’s also going to have a workout video, a chewable supplement line for GNC, a book deal, a rap song for iTunes, endorsements with Reebok, Vitamin Water and a vodka company as well as a clothing line with Dilligaf.
His manager said, “We are really excited about all the opportunities coming Mike’s way, he has been able to secure many endorsement deals, business opportunities and additional television offers based on the success of the show. Our goal has always been to try to build a brand if the situation presented itself. If you are a noncelebrity on a reality show, you are given an opportunity, it’s a platform. You have to use it intelligently.”
This means that he is going to earn more than the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Anna Paquin, Michael Cera and Matthew Morrison.
All this from just drinking, partying and being a douchebag for MTV. Let me go weep for society right now.

I always wanted to have a twin when I was growing up because of the whole twin telepathy thing, now I’m glad I don’t have a twin because I wouldn’t want anybody to know what goes on inside my head. Here is a list of 20 celebrities who all have twins, most of which I never knew:
The Olsens
Mary-Kate and Ashley are American actresses. Both have appeared in television and films since infancy. Since then, they have continued their celebrity through numerous television programs, films, interviews, as well as commercial endorsements. Although they are virtually identical in appearance, they are genetically different fraternal twins.
The Bundchens
Supermodel Gisele has a fraternal twin sister, Patricia. The pair are two of five sisters in their family, and grew up in Southern Brazil. She is a former Victoria’s Secret model and one of the industry’s highest-earning fashion models. In 2009, Gisele married New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Her equally pretty twin, Patricia, has also modeled, but is primarily credited with the successful management of her sister’s career.
The Johanssons
This Golden Globe-nominated actress has a twin brother, Hunter. People.com named Hunter as one of its Single & Sexy Men of 2008. Although Hunter made an appearance in Scarlett‘s 1996 film, Manny & Lo, more recently he worked as a campaign organizer for Barack Obama.
The Sutherlands
Kiefer started his career as a teen hearthrob in movies like Young Guns and The Lost Boys but his success really spiraled when he started saving the world as Agent Jack Bauer in the popular television drama 24. Kiefer and twin sister, Rachel, were born in London. Their parents, Donald Sutherland and Shirley Douglas, are also actors. His twin sister is in the entertainment business, but not in front of the camera. She works as a post-production supervisor and casting assistant for film and television.
The Sprouses
Cole and Dylan first prominent major theatrical film roles were in Big Daddy, however they are more known, of course, for portraying Zack and Cody Martin in the Disney program The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Now that the twins are eighteen, they have stated that the intend to enroll at New York University in the fall of 2010.
The Kutchers
Ashton was raised in a conservative Roman Catholic family,with an older sister, Tausha, and a fraternal twin, Michael, who had a heart transplant when the brothers were young children. However, his brother suffering from cardiomyopathy caused his home life to become increasingly stressful. He has stated that “I didn’t want to come home and find more bad news about my brother” and “kept myself so busy that I didn’t allow myself to feel.”
The Morrissettes
Alanis is an award-winning pop star, one of the best-selling female artists of all time, with hits like Ironic and Uninvited. The Canadian singer has a twin brother named Wade. He is also a musician (more specifically a kirtan singer, which involves chanting) as well as a yoga instructor.
The Loves
Lyndsey and Lacey Love, are American pornographic actresses and identical twins. They started their career in pornography by doing live chats over the Internet while at college, but have since starred in several movies for Vivid Entertainment and graced the covers of Genesis and Swank magazines.
The Heders
The comedic actor has an identical twin brother, Dan. They were two of six children in the Heder family, growing up in Salem Oregon. During an interview with David Letterman, Jon admitted that he and his brother “caused a lot of trouble by pretending to be the other” while growing up. As adults, the twins are partners in a production company.
Elvis Presley, Justin Timberlake, Marlon Jackson and Andy Garcia all had twins as well but they all died shortly after birth.
The Diesels
Vin has made a career starring in action films like xXx and The Fast and the Furious but also wields his talents offscreen as a producer. His given name is Mark Sinclair Vincent, but took the stage name of Vin (short for Vincent) Diesel while working as a bouncer in a New York City nightclub. He has a fraternal twin brother named Paul who works as a film editor.
The Ashmore Twins
Aaron was born one minute before his twin, Shawn in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. At the age of 10, their mother was a part of a club called the “Multiple Births Association” in Alberta, where the twins were quickly discovered by a talent agent. While both brothers have continued to perform, Shawn has remained slightly more well-known.
The Youngs
Will is a British singer-songwriter and actor. He rose to fame in 2002 after winning the inaugural Pop Idol contest, making him the first winner of the now-worldwide Idols-format franchise. He has won multiple awards and sold over eight million albums worldwide. Here Will and his fraternal twin, Rupert, are pictured attending an after show party for the musical Spring Awakening.
The Duffys
The soulful singer-songwriter goes by the single name Duffy, but was named Aimee Ann Duffy at birth. She and her twin sister, Katy Ann, were born in Wales in 1984 but were separated when their parents were divorced when they were ten. Duffy moved out on her own to pursue a singing career at the young age of fifteen, but has found great success in Great Britain as well as around the world with her smooth, rich voice.
The Quins
Musicians and identical twins Tegan and Sara Quin have been performing together (calling themselves “Tegan & Sara”) for twelve years. Both Tegan and Sara play guitar and keyboard and write songs, most often separately. Whoever writes each song typically sings the lead vocals for it. The band has released six studio albums since 1999, most recently Sainthood in 2009. Currently they are touring with Paramore, New Found Glory, and Kadawatha at the Honda Civic Tour.
The Carters
Aaron , the once pop-star sensation and brother to Backstreet Boy’s Nick, has a twin sister named Angel. The whole Carter clan was featured in their own short-lived reality program titled “House of Carters.”
The Reyes
Judy is most famous for her portrayal of nurse Carla Espinosa on the TV comedy Scrubs for eight seasons. A native of The Bronx, Reyes has five sisters including a twin sister named Joselin, who played a paramedic on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
The Mowry’s
Tia and Tamera, identical twins born just two minutes apart, are best known for their 1990s sitcom, Sister, Sister.
The Veronicas
Twin sisters Jessica and Lisa Origliasso formed the band The Veronicas in 1999 in Brisbane. They have released two studio albums, 2005′s The Secret Life of… and 2007′s Hook Me Up. They have their own line of clothing which was released in 2007.
The Ronsons
Born in London to a socialite and a real estate mogul, Sam and Charlotte both aspired to career tracks in the arts. After graduating from New York University, Charlotte has made a name for herself in the fashion industry. She has worked with Harper’s Bazaar, Rolling Stone, and designer Cynthia Rowley. By May 2002, Ronson had opened her flagship store. The Charlotte Ronson brand is partnered with Japanese apparel company The Wall. Sam is a successful singer-songwriter and club DJ, based in Los Angeles. From 2008 – 2009, she famously dated Lindsey Lohan.
The Mora Twins
Naima is an American fashion model and the winner of Cycle 4 of America’s Next Top Model. She is currently singing for the band “Galaxy of Tar.” In May 2010, they released a two-song single, “Volatile Glass”. Her identical twin, Nia is a photographer.

Helen Mirren has stripped down and posed nude in the bath for a photoshoot and article in NY Magazine and even though she soon turns 65-years-old I have to admit she still has it.
Mirren is starring in a new movie called Love Ranch, which was directed by her husband Taylor Hackford, and she plays a madam running a brothel similarly to Nevada’s real Mustang Ranch. She says her husband kept asking her to go spend a night at the Mustang Ranch but she wouldn’t do it.
Instead she opted just do research on brothels and prostitution, which she says now makes her think brothels should be legalized because it makes it safer for the sex workers.
On being the good girl: “I’m still the good girl who wants to be a bad girl. But I’ll never make it as a bad girl … I’m not a prude or a moralist and I never have been, but I’m too fearful, too much of a wimp, really.”
On other women in the industry: “I’m thrilled young girls are claiming their sexuality for themselves, I love bold women: Madonna and Scarlett Johansson—sexy and gorgeous, but not only that. You know how when you go see a movie and it seems the director is always using the same actors over and over? Well here is a list of 10 pairs that need to just give each other a break and work with other people.
10. Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton (5 films together)
Helena Bonham Carter, believe it or not, used to be a distinguished actress who was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in The Wings Of A Dove. Since with Burton, however, she only seems to find work in his films slumming around in creepy makeup. Apart from some appearances in the Harry Potter series, the actress hasn’t made a notable splash outside the Burtonverse since 1999’s Fight Club and it seems like there is no slowing down this husband/wife movie making duo. Burton has three projects slated for production that will likely feature the quirky actress.
9. Denzel Washington and Tony Scott (4 films together)
Have you ever noticed a couple at a party and one person was so clearly out of the other person’s league that it left you dumbfounded? This is the feeling I get every time Denzel Washington agrees to make another film with Tony Scott. Washington is one of the greatest actors of this generation, has two Oscars and is a considerable box office draw and yet he chooses to work so faithfully with the lesser of the Scott brothers (I was hoping that American Gangster would steer him in the direction of the more talented brother). There has to be some secret to their working relationship that keeps Washington coming back for more. Whatever it is, I hope Washington wises up and starts working with directors worthy of his talent as soon as possible.
8. Keira Knightley and Joe Wright (2 films together)
These two have only made 2 films together but their working relationship became stale somewhere around the middle point of Atonement. Perhaps the problem is that Keira Knightley seems to only play in period dramas (she’s done 5 in the last few years) and thus her work with Wright seems redundant? There were rumors that the two were going to take on My Fair Lady but luckily they abandoned that project. Knightley is marginally talented and Wright seems to have a good eye but unless the two of them break out of their comfort zones (each other), they will forever be pigeonholed into the realm of glossy period productions.
7. Tom Hanks and Ron Howard (4 films together)
Although their works have been spread out over 3 decades, the recent one-two punch of The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons was enough to suggest these two go on permanent hiatus from each other. With the critical ‘meh’ that the first film received, I was shocked the sequel (based on the much less popular book) was ever greenlight in the first place. Hanks and Howard are both capable of producing good work but rarely do so together. Perhaps the two should look into doing another comedy a la their 1984 classic Splash?
6. Penelope Cruz and Pedro Almodovar (4 films together)
It’s hard to fault this pairing because most of their work together has been stunning but the Spanish duo’s last film together, Broken Embraces, left a lot to be desired. Almodovar has always relied on muses and Cruz has served him well over the years but now seems like a good time for them to take a break from each other. Cruz has become a hot commodity in the US and Almodovar needs to take on a new direction. Interestingly, Almodovar is turning to one of his former muses, Antonio Banderas, for his next film.
5. Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott (5 films together)
I’m a big fan of Sir Ridley Scott but the ‘Russell Crowe’ years have led to his most boring films as a director. Sure, their initial pairing (Gladiator) re-established Scott as an auteur and turned Crowe into a bonafide star but their subsequent pairings have done nothing for me as a viewer. With Scott setting his sights on 2 Alien prequels, it seems unlikely that he will find room for Crowe in those films but going back to a past success doesn’t bode well for a reinvigoration of the director’s creative potential.
4. Scarlett Johansson and Woody Allen (3 films together)
Woody Allen does love his young blonde starlets, doesn’t he? Sometimes he is able to garner fantastic performances out of them (Mira Sorvino in Mighty Aphrodite) but he hasn’t had such luck with Ms. Johansson. She’s starred in quite possibly his worst film to date (Scoop) and been the least interesting part in the better of his more recent efforts (Match Point and Vicky Cristina Barcelona). Now that the actress is over the age of 25 perhaps old Woody will grow tired of her and move on to younger stars to fill his creative void. That’s the thing Allen loves about his stars, he gets older but they stay the same age.
3. Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass(3 films together)
If Green Zone proved one thing it is that Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon should probably avoid each other outside of the Bourne series if they don’t want inevitable comparisons to their previous work. It would be hard not to draw those comparisons since the trademarks of the Bourne series are Greengrass’ signature directing style and, of course, the appearance of Matt Damon. There are still rumors of these two doing a 4th Bourne film but if they plan to work together outside the series they are going to have to lay off the breakneck action sequences and go for something less recognizably Bourne. Perhaps a romantic comedy (with shaky cam)?
2. Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S. Anderson (4 films together)
This is a duo who I wish would just take a break from filmmaking altogether. Jovovich is a stunning beauty but is one of the least talented actresses I have ever witnessed on screen. Anderson, similarly, is one of the least talented directors I’ve ever had the displeasure of seeing films by. When you put them together, you get one of the worst action-adventure-scifi franchises of the last twenty years, Resident Evil. With that series coming to an end this year, the director already has plans to cast his wife in his next feature; a 3D retelling of the Three Musketeers. Maybe they’ll get a divorce and spare us all their future collaborations?
1. Johnny Depp and Tim Burton (6 films together)
It’s hard to argue with success (their most recent film, Alice in Wonderland, has garnered their highest box office) but Tim Burton’s reliance on Depp has reached a level of near parody. Their collaborative efforts have become more and more predictable and the once exciting duo has been reduced to a bland mix of dayglow hot topic merchandise. Their last truly great film together was Ed Wood in 1994 and found both at their career best. It is possible for them to reclaim this glory but Burton is going to need to cast Depp more appropriately instead of dressing him up in garish make up and wigs and letting him run on autopilot.
This list would be 100% correct if they had of added Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese to this list. Is there any actor/director pairs you are sick of seeing working together?
