Shakira is one of those celebrities who keeps their whole life private and never opens up about anything, so it’s kind of surprising that she wrote a letter to her fans letting them know that she broke up with her boyfriend of 11 years, Antonio De La Rua. Here is the letter that they both wrote on her website:
Dear Friends,
During our almost 11 years together we have loved each other deeply, taken care of each other and stood by one another. They have been the most wonderful years of our lives, and thanks to that love and the respect that we share for one another we have been an exceptional couple and partners.
However, since August 2010, we made a mutual decision to take time apart from our romantic relationship. Throughout this time we have continued to work together hand in hand, have remained close and have kept the details absolutely private until now.
We view this period of separation as temporary and as a time of individual growth as we continue to be partners in our business and professional lives.
Antonio continues to oversee and conduct my business and career interests as he has always done. We move forward as partners, developing projects together, working hand in hand and in close communication. Our friendship and understanding of one another is unwavering and indestructible.
We would like to advise that we will not be giving interviews or making more statements with respect to this matter and we appreciate in advance your understanding and respect during this sensitive time in our lives.

The Decapitator has struck again, this time he has decided to chop the head of Shakira on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
If you don’t know who The Decapitator is then I will tell you, he has basically took the heads of actors, actresses, models and other celebrities for fun and then posted them all over London, Paris and São Paulo.
The artist who comes from the UK decided to make a trip to New York City earlier this month and posted his version of the Rolling Stone cover all over the city, he event went as far to put fake magazines on Barnes & Nobles stands.
He then challenged people to find his images and magazine throughout the city, you can see some of them on his Flickr page . Some people get really pissy over this but I think it’s a bit of fun, even though it is sick, and would make a fun day out to look for the images.
I wonder what Shakira thinks. Oh and I’m sorry, I’m sure this is exactly what you needed to see before you chomp down your Thanksgiving dinner later on.
