Chris Brown Says He Is Sorry

Chris Brown has finally decided to admit that he did indeed lose the head when he appeared on Good Morning America the other day and smashed a window, so he has apologized. Well kind of, his apology is basically blaming them.

Chris appeared on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday to say that before he went on air he and ABC agreed on what would be discussed during the interview but he says that they basically went off the talking points, ABC however say this is bullshit and there were not talking points offered. Here is what Chris has to say:

“First of all I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, anybody who was offended or really looked disappointed at my actions because I was really disappointed in my actions. A lot of people don’t know what went down. When I do shows or I do interviews we always send out a talking points sheet and if the network or whomever doing the interviewing isn’t complying with what we want to do so we can equally accomplish a goal we usually back out until its a better situation. When we actually did this event everything was cool. We was suppose to perform, the talking points were positivity, creative, and everything that was sent to me, everything was about the album. So as the interview proceeded it was thrown off, i was kind of thrown off by it. I felt like they told us this so that they can just get us on the show just to exploit me. That’s what I thought. And so I took it very, very hard. I kind of kept my composure throughout the whole interview although you can see me upset. I kept my composure and did my performance and when I got back I let off steam in the back. I didn’t physically hurt anyone I didn’t try to hurt anyone. I just wanted to release the anger I had inside me cause I felt like I worked so hard for this music. And I love my fans and I love to be able to make positive music that I felt like people kept, just trying to take it away from me, take away from me. So yes, I got very emotional and I apologize for acting like that.”

Seriously this isn’t one bit surprising, of course he is going to blame other people on his own actions because that’s exactly what children do and let’s face it he acts like a child all the time.

Jesse James’ Mistress Is Sorry, Sends Letter To TMZ

Melissa Smith, the second mistress of Jesse James to come forward has decided that she would like to make amends with Sandra Bullock so she sent a fax to Sandra’s agent which just happened to land in TMZ’s hands.

One Of Jesse James' Mistress Is Sorry

Now I haven’t used a fax machine for about 8 years, did I miss the memo that they are back in and email is out?, so I forget how they operate but I’m willing to bet that she didn’t accidentally dial up TMZ’s fax number at the same time she was sending the letter to Sandra’ agent, here is the letter:

Dear Sandra,

I’m sure your wondering why I’m writing this letter to you. I felt I needed to reach out to you and tell you how deeply sorry I am for everything that you’ve been through. And I know nothing I can say in this letter is going to make the pain of my actions go away. But I sincerely wanted to take a moment to personally apologize to you.

I know that this message will most likely go unanswered, but I want you to know that I am sorry for any hurt or pain that I have caused you. My actions of engaging with a married men are unforgivable. I never meant you any harm. I compromised my beliefs on several occasions and as a result, will never forgive myself.

I know that nothing I can say will take back the hurt that my actions caused. From the bottom of my heart, I hope you accept my sincere apology. Please contact me if you wish to discuss on the phone or in person.

My deeprest regrets,

Melissa Smith

If I was Sandra Bullock, I would arrange to meet Melissa Smith and then have someone accidentally run her over because the chances of that happening are greater than accidentally faxing this letter to TMZ.

Media World: Why the U.K.’s Evening Standard is Sorry

What does the Evening Standard have to be sorry about? The U.K. tabloid isn’t saying anything about the sins it committed, but it is promising to provide more details soon.

If this seems like a publicity stunt, that’s because it is. The Evening Standard was recently acquired by a Russian businessman and former KGB officer Alexander Lebedev for the whopping price of a pound. Moreover, like U.S. papers, the Evening Standard is facing stiff competition from free publications which has eaten away its circulation revenue.

Unlike its rival tabloids, the Evening Standard is not known for outrageous stunts such as the “sting” engineered by the News of the World to “buy” one of the child stars of the hit movie “Slumdog Millionaire.” In fact, as Roy Greenslade, a journalism professor and blogger for The Guardian points out, the Evening Standard’s reputation is not bad at all.

“If you take away the politics, the rest of the newspaper is pretty good,” Greenslade told the Daily Finance.

What may have prompted the Evening Standard to “apologize” was its role in driving London’s controversial mayor Ken Livingston from office. U.S. readers should note that the tradition of journalists being objective is an American phenomena, and a fairly recent one at that. Papers in the U.K. and in other parts of the world take on avowedly partisan tones.

According to Greenslade, market research by the paper’s new owners found that Londoners found it to be too negative. When it comes to Livingston, a controversial politician nicknamed “Red Ken,” the criticism was justified.

“The campaign against Ken Livingston was over the top,” Greenslade said.

The Evening Standard is taking its campaign directly to the people of London with signs saying sorry and sorry for being negative, for taking you for granted, for being complacent and for being predictable appearing on the city’s public transportation system.

Unfortunately, many of the paper’s journalists worked there under the old ownership. This has made them wonder whether they owe anyone an apology and has damaged morale, Greenslade said.

“It’s unprecedented,” he said. “I have never known any newspaper that would dare do such a thing.”

But if it works, expect American newspapers to start apologizing in droves.

Playboy Apologizes for Nude Virgin Mary

A nude model resembling the Virgin Mary on the cover of the Mexican edition of Playboy magazine, published only days before a major Mexican festival dedicated to the mother of Jesus, prompted the company’s U.S. headquarters on Friday to apologize.

The magazine, which hit newsstands on December 1 as ceremonies began leading to Friday’s pilgrimage to the Mexico City shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe, showed a model wearing nothing but a white cloth over her head and breasts.

She is standing in front of a stained glass window with the cover line, “We Love You, Maria” in Spanish. The model’s name is Maria Florencia Onori.

The Virgin of Guadalupe, said to have appeared to a sixteenth century Indian peasant, is Mexico’s most revered Roman Catholic figure and the annual pilgrimage to the Mexico City basilica dedicated to her is one of the world’s largest religious events.

In a statement, Chicago-based Playboy Enterprises Inc said the Mexican edition of the magazine is published by a licensee, and the company did not approve or endorse the cover.

“While Playboy Mexico never meant for the cover or images to offend anyone, we recognize that it has created offense, and we as well as Playboy Mexico offer our sincerest apologies,” the statement said.

Raul Sayrols, publisher of Playboy Mexico, said in a statement, “The image is not and never was intended to portray the Virgin of Guadalupe or any other religious figure. The intent was to reflect a Renaissance-like mood on the cover.”

Playboy Mexico printed 100,000 copies of the issue.
