David Carradine has been found dead in a Bangkok, Thailand, hotel, according to his personal manager, Chuck Binder.
Binder said Thursday that the death is being investigated but could provide no other details, however the BBC reports,
Thai police told the BBC the 72-year-old was found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and genitals on Thursday morning.
An apparent suicide.
Carradine’s death was “shocking and sad. He was full of life, always wanting to work … a great person,” Binder said, according to People magazine.
Modern audiences may best know him as “Bill” in Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” films. He earned a 2005 Golden Globe nomination for his role in the second movie in the two-part saga. iReport: Share memories of David Carradine

British actress Lucy Gordon was found dead in her apartment after she reportedly hung herself. She was 28 years old.
Gordon, who has appeared in ‘Spider-Man 3,’ ‘Serendipity’ and ‘Frost,’ was found dead on Wednesday, and the Daily Telegraph is reporting that she hung herself following a friend’s recent suicide.
“There were no suspicious circumstances. It appears that the young woman took her own life,” a law enforcement officer told the Telegraph.
Another source told Sky News that “it was an horrific scene. The young woman had taken her own life in terrible circumstances. We are not seeking anyone else. It was a clear case of suicide.”
Gordon is set to portray British singer-actress Jane Birkin in ‘Serge Gainsbourg (a heroic life),’ an upcoming biopic.

‘Sopranos‘ fans probably don’t know the name John Costelloe, but the character he played had a huge impact.
The 47-year-old actor gained fame in 2006 during the show’s sixth season when he was cast as short-order cook Jim “Johnny Cakes” Witowski opposite Joseph Gannascoli, who played gay mobster Vito Spatafore.
Police say the actor who portrayed the gay lover of a closeted mobster on “The Sopranos” died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in New York last week.
Police spokesman Lt. John Grimpel says Costelloe was found dead in an apparent suicide at his Brooklyn home on Dec. 18.
Police were called to his residence after family members were unable to reach him.
Costelloe’s character was a short order cook at a diner in New Hampshire who gets involved in a brief romance with Vito, on the run from the mob after he was caught in a gay nightclub. After their affair, Vito heads back home where he is murdered in a hotel room.
The nickname ‘Johnny Cakes’ came from Vito’s daily order at the diner.
A documentary that shows the deliberate act in which a terminally ill man takes his own life at a Swiss euthanasia clinic will be shown Wednesday night on British television.
Craig Ewert, a 59-year-old retired professor, suffered from motor neuron disease, more commonly known in the U.S. as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The progressive, degenerative disorder destroys the cells that control voluntary muscle activity such as talking, walking, breathing and swallowing, according to the National Institutes of Health. There is no cure and no standard course of treatment.
Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper reported Tuesday that Ewert, a married father of two grown children, died Sept. 26, 2006, just five months after he was diagnosed.
His suicide was aided by the Swiss group Dignitas, the Mail said. Switzerland is the only country where assisted suicide is legal for nonresidents. Under the law, the patient must take the final action.
‘The Suicide Tourist,’ by Canadian director John Zaritsky, shows Ewert swallowing a dose of sedatives and then biting down on a mouth-operated switch to turn off the ventilator keeping him alive.
The Mail said Ewert, an American who lived in Harrowgate in northern England, paid the Dignitas 3,000 pounds, or more than $4,400, to cover the assisted suicide, his cremation and to ship his ashes back to Britain.
His wife of 37 years, Mary Ewert, is shown by his side, the Mail said. As he is slipping away, she asks,”“Can I give you a big kiss?”
Then she adds: “I love you, sweetheart, so much. Have a safe journey and see you some time.”
In the Point Grey Pictures documentary, to be aired on the Sky Real Lives channel, Ewert discusses his reasons for choosing suicide.
“I have death or I have suffering and death,” he says. “This way makes a whole lot of sense to me.”
 What the hell is going on? Mark Ruffalo’s brother, Scott, is barely hanging on to life after he was shot in the head on Monday.
Scott, who is a hairdresser was shot in his apartment in Beverly Hills yesterday, according to TMZ the police have already started an investigation into the “suspicious shooting.”
Police sources say that they are trying to determine if the shooting was an accidental shooting, a suicide attempt or if something “criminal went down.”
According to other reports the Ruffalo family are all gathering around each other and being “very supportive.”
This shooting follows the news that Jennifer Hudson’s brother in law was officially being charged after murdering her mother, sister in law and nephew.
This is such sad news for Mark Ruffalo and his family, especially coming up to Christmas. Hopefully his brother will pull through from being shot in the head.

This is an update to the post about the body of Paula Abdul’s stalker being found outside her home.
The above video is of the woman, now known as Paula Goodspeed, when she auditioned for American Idol during season 5 of the show.
During the audition Goospeed said, “I really like Paula Abdul a lot. She’s really cool, I’m a really big fan, and I made life-sized drawings of Paula. I’ve been drawing ever since I was a little kid, and my first drawing was of Paula Abdul.”
As for the performance, Abdul said “I’m sorry, Paula,” to which Goodpseed said “it’s not over, I’m not going to stop singing just because you don’t like my voice.”
Meanwhile a rep for Abdul says that she is “deeply saddened and shocked about what transpired yesterday. My heart and prayers go out to her family.”
 A body was found outside Paula Abdul’s home last night.
Police sources said the victim is an alleged Abdul stalker and cops have been to the house “numerous times before” to deal with her.
The victims parents called Police at 3:00 PM to tell them their daughter was missing and that she “had an unnatural obsession” with Paula Abdul and they might want to check Abdul’s home.
The victim was found dead in a car, yards from Paula’s L.A. home. Cause of death may have been a drug overdose/suicide.
There’s no evidence of foul play. The victim has not yet been ID’d. We’re told Paula was not home and possibly shooting for “American Idol.”

Just like his many friends and colleagues, the loved ones of Def Jam Vice President Shakir Stewart can’t make any sense of his death Saturday afternoon. It appears that he took his own life.
On Sunday (November 2), his fiancée, Michelle Rivers, released a joint statement with the rest of his family.
 “We would like to thank Shakir’s friends for the tremendous outpouring of love and support we have received during this difficult time. It has helped us to cope with our overwhelming grief and sadness.
It is difficult to express or explain in words what led to the tragic occurrence on Saturday.
Over the past several weeks, Shakir’s behavior was inconsistent with the man we all know and love. As much as we all tried to help him, Shakir was in deep pain and largely suffering in silence. Please remember Shakir for who he was … a wonderful father, partner, son and friend.”
Stewart was 34 years old. Cobb County Police spokeswoman Cassie Reece was quoted in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, telling the paper that his body was found in the bathroom of his home around 4 p.m. Saturday. He was taken to the Kenne Hospital with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and later pronounced dead.
The Oakland, California, native was known in the music industry for his hard work and an ear for talent. He was recently instrumental in fattening Def Jam’s roster with Southern rap staples Rick Ross and Young Jeezy. Both MCs released albums that debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts.
Def Jam released a statement Saturday night in the aftermath of the tragedy.
“L.A. Reid and all of us at Island Def Jam Music Group are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and colleague Shakir Stewart. Shakir was an amazing man, in every sense of the word. A truly incredible friend and father who was an inspiration to not only our artists and employees, but to his family and the many people who had the privilege of counting him as a friend. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family at this very difficult time.”
So So Sad, someone so talented and gifted leaving like that. I wonder what was troubling him …. his job? finances? health? I guess we’ll never know.
Peaches Geldof is reported to have been treated by paramedics after collapsing following a suspected drug overdose at her home.
The 19-year-old daughter of Sir Bob Geldof is believed to have been revived by a friend who reportedly gave her the kiss of life as they waited for the emergency services.
The paramedics arrived at Miss Geldof’s home in Islington, North London, on Sunday afternoon.
A spokesman for London ambulance service said: ‘We were called on Sunday at 4.45pm to an address in N1 to reports of a female patient taken ill.
‘We sent an ambulance bicycle responder and a fast response car, but following assessment the patient did not require hospital treatment.’
According to reports in the Sun newspaper, Miss Geldof could not breathe for several minutes and a friend had to give her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
After receiving treatment Peaches was said to be petrified that her 56-year-old father, the former Boomtown Rats singer, would find out after he publicly said he would go ‘ballistic’ if she ever turned to drugs.
She reportedly began to yell at the paramedics that treated her, shouting: ‘You have to respect my privacy’, before refusing to go to hospital and ordering them to leave.
The teenager will not face any charges over the incident.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: ‘Police were called at about 4.45pm on Sunday by the London Ambulance Service to an address in Islington following a 19-year-old woman taken ill. When police arrived no offences were disclosed. No further police action will be taken.’
Earlier this year, Miss Geldof was spotted allegedly handing over money for drugs. Her mother, TV presenter Paula Yates, died of an overdose in 2000.

A supermodel plunged to her death Saturday afternoon by leaping from her Lower Manhattan apartment window in an apparent suicide.
Ruslana Korshunova, barely shy of her 21st birthday, apparently jumped from the balcony of her residential building in Manhattan’s Financial District, police tell the New York Post.
People reports,
 Authorities said there appeared to be no signs of a struggle having taken place inside the 9th-floor apartment, which the green-eyed, 5′8″ beauty had occupied for only two months.
The Kazakhstan-born “Russian Rapunzel,” as she was known, had appeared as cover girl on editions of French Elle and Russian Vogue, as well as in ads for Marc Jacobs, DKNY, Vera Wang and Christian Dior.
“Our hearts are with her family,” a spokesman for her agency, IMG (which also represents Heidi Klum and Kate Moss) told the Post.
A former boyfriend, Artem Perchenok, 24, told the paper that the two had watched the movie Ghost and that he dropped her off at home at 5 a.m. Saturday. “She was a good person,” he said.
The Daily News suggests that Korshunova had become despondent over a lost love. She poured her heart out on the Web in the months leading to her apparent suicide.
“Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably,” the sandy-haired knockout wrote in a poem that concluded: “And never regret anything that made you smile.”
The Kazakh beauty wrote that love “blinds,” “sets souls afire,” and “is always the answer” in emotion-soaked passages posted on a social networking site.
Korshunova volleyed between Russian and English in her heartfelt prose, but love was a central theme no matter the language. “Do not confuse love and desire,” she wrote in Russian in her most recent posting May 30. “Love is the sun, desire - only flash. Desire dazzles, and the sun gives life.”
The soulful note warns of the perils of sacrifice.
“Love does not take away from one in order to give to another,” wrote Korshunova, a 20-year-old thousands of miles from her native Kazakhstan. “Love - this is the essence of life. But you will not give your life to another.”
Korshunova’s most telling message came three months ago: “I’m so lost. Will I ever find myself?”
She appeared angry in some postings, brokenhearted in others.
“I’m a bitch. I’m a witch. I don’t care what you say!!!” she wrote March 11. “I know what it is. I know why my other relationships didn’t work out, ’cause I’m unpredictable. Why are you afraid of it?”
In January, she wrote, “It hurts, as if someone took a part of me, tore it out, mercilessly stomped all over and threw it out.
“My dream is to fly. Oh, my rainbow it is too high,” she wrote in a March note.
This is very, very sad.

Heather Locklear’s, who’s been recently spotted in a drunken stupor, checked herself into a psychological treatment facility in Arizona.
The actress’ rep stated,
 “Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression. She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment.”
Heather’s doctor called 911 back in March, concerned that she was suicidal.

Clint Eastwood and Spike Lee are in the middle of a verbal smack-down and it’s not looking pretty… not pretty at all.
Spike Lee recently criticized Clint for not casting one African-American soldier in two of his war movies, “Flags of Our Fathers” and “Letters from Iwo Jima.”
 “Clint Eastwood made two films about Iwo Jima that ran for more than four hours total, and there was not one Negro actor on the screen.
If you reporters had any balls you’d ask him why. There’s no way I know why he did that … But I know it was pointed out to him and that he could have changed it. It’s not like he didn’t know.”
Lee’s comments came during a press conference to promote his own war film, Miracle at St Anna, at the Cannes film festival last month.
Clint explained to the Guardian,
“The story is Flags of Our Fathers, the famous flag-raising picture, and they didn’t do that. If I go ahead and put an African-American actor in there, people’d go: ‘This guy’s lost his mind.’ I mean, it’s not accurate. A guy like him should shut his face.”

Eastwood, who described himself as libertarian - “Just stay out of everybody else’s hair” - has a reputation for outspoken remarks. He once said he would kill fellow film-maker Michael Moore if he showed up uninvited at his house. His 2004 double-Oscar-winning film Million Dollar Baby was criticized by Christian groups who objected to part of the plot involving “assisted suicide”.
Defending the racial make-up in his films as historically accurate, Eastwood referred to another of his films, Changeling, which was set in Los Angeles before the city had a large group of African-Americans.
“What are you going to do, you going to tell a fuckin’ story about that?. Make it look like a commercial for an equal opportunity player? I’m not in that game.
I’m playing it the way I read it historically, and that’s the way it is. When I do a movie and it’s 90% black, like Bird, then I use 90% black people.”
I really had no idea there was so much fire in Clint’s belly. I mean, I know he’s Dirty Harry and all, but really I’m a little shocked.
Former supermodel Jerry Hall’s youngest son is so protective of her, he has banned her from having a boyfriend.
The Texan beauty, 51, admits 10-year-old Gabriel - from her marriage to rocker Mick Jagger - is sickened by the thought of his mother bringing someone home, and has even threatened suicide to persuade her to continue to live her life as a single mother.
She says,
“Gabriel gets very angry with me if I work too much. And he absolutely hates the idea of me having a boyfriend. He says, ‘If you get a boyfriend, I will kill myself.’
I say to him, ‘But darling, you will grow up and get married one day and it would be nice for Mum to have some company.’ And he says, ‘No Mum, I am never going to leave you.’ But that’s what boys are like, isn’t it?”
No… boy’s aren’t like that — him threatening to kill himself is not normal!
And Hall insists she’s in no rush to marry again, because she’s happy on her own:
“I think having a partner is a bonus, but I don’t think it’s a necessity. I’ve always had my own money and worked and looked after myself.
I do see people and have dates and I think love is a wonderful thing, but that hasn’t really happened to me. I haven’t fallen in love. Maybe it will happen one day. But I think it would probably be idiotic to marry again. It seems to me that you do that when you want to have children. And I’ve had mine.”
Hall has three other children with ex-husband Jagger: Elizabeth, 24; James, 22, and Georgia, 16. The couple split in 1999.
Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are set to tie the knot – a year after he tried to kill himself when she dumped him.
Kate is thought to have called off the affair, blaming Owen’s lack of commitment.
 Owen and Kate originally met while filming the comedy You, Me and Dupree and is thought to have dated him during her six-month separation from now ex-husband and Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson.
It is thought the devastated actor slashed his wrists and took an overdose of pills after his ex-lover was pictured cuddling her new boyfriend comedian Dax Shephard.
Now seven months on from Owen’s reported suicide bid, the pair are back together and are set to wed next year. I’m happy to see these two back together and happy.

Convicted “D.C. Madam” Deborah Jeane Palfrey railed against what she called a “modern-day lynching” in notes to her mother and sister before hanging herself at her mother’s Florida home, police disclosed Monday.
 Police in Tarpon Springs, Florida, released Palfrey’s suicide notes Monday, along with autopsy results confirming her cause of death as a suicide. Her mother and sister confirmed the notes’ authenticity, police said.
“I cannot live the next 6 to 8 years behind bars for what you and I have both come to regard as this ‘modern-day lynching’ only to come out of prison in my late 50s a broken, penniless and very much alone woman,” she wrote.
The front of the note was marked “Do not revive (DNR). Do not feed under any circumstance.”
Palfrey, 52, was convicted of money laundering, racketeering and mail fraud in April. She had been staying at her mother’s Tarpon Springs home while awaiting sentencing in July and told ABC News last year she would never return to prison after serving time in the 1990s for other prostitution-related charges.
“You must comprehend there was no way out, I.E. ‘exit strategy,’ for me other than the one I have chosen here,” Palfrey wrote in the note to her sister.
Palfrey released the telephone records of her business, Pamela Martin & Associates, to reporters as she awaited trial. Those records linked two high-profile officials to her firm — State Department official Randall Tobias, who resigned in May 2007 after confirming he patronized Palfrey’s business, and Sen. David Vitter, R-Louisiana, who apologized last July for “a very serious sin in my past.”
Neither Tobias nor Vitter have faced charges in the case.
During her trial, Palfrey insisted she ran only a legal escort service — “Basically a bunch of benign women who want to make a living,” she told CNN in March. “This is not racketeering by any means — this is running a business.”
Palfrey was convicted April 15 in connection with a high-end prostitution ring catering to Washington’s elite. She was found guilty of money laundering, racketeering and mail fraud and faced a maximum 55-year prison term at her sentencing, scheduled for July 24.
She had said in interviews that she would kill herself before going to prison.
“I’m looking at 55 years in a federal penitentiary, and at my age, that is virtually a life sentence,” Palfrey told CNN Radio’s Ninette Sosa in March. “Realistically, we estimate between eight and 15 years. I’m also looking at the complete forfeiture of my entire life savings and work.”
She said in the interview that the government “went after me. They found out that I’m not who they thought I was, and instead of dropping the whole matter, they decided to press forward and — what the heck — she’s a woman, she’s weak. We’ll intimidate her, we’ll humiliate her, we’ll pounce on this poor lady and she’ll give in.”
Palfrey also told writer Dan Moldea, who was helping her write a book, that she would commit suicide rather than return to jail, according to Time magazine.
Suicide is never the answer, never.
