The Sun are reporting that troubled actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers was hospitalized in London earlier this week after reportedly trying to commit suicide that involved him popping pills in his home.
33-year-old Meyers, who has been battling alcohol addiction for the past few years and has been in and out of rehab five times, was found slumped over on the floor in his home on Tuesday night by paramedics who responded to an emergency call.
According to sources when paramedics tried to help him he refused any treatment for 30 minutes before the police arrived on the scene and managed to convince him that he should go to hospital. The source adds “this is very sad. It was the opinion of those present that he tried to take his life.”
A spokesperson for the police spoke to People saying “we can confirm we were called by the London Ambulance Service to an address in NW8 to report to a man refusing treatment. Police attended, and the man was taken by ambulance to a central London hospital. That was the end of our involvement.”
The actor, probably best known for his role in The Tudors, was discharged on Wednesday morning and reporters asked him hw he’s doing to which he simply replied “no comment.” It was only recently reported that he can’t even keep his leg steady if he sits down because he has the shakes from drinking so much alcohol.
To be honest this doesn’t come as a surprise to me, when his mother passed away a few years ago he hit the drink harder than ever before and I always thought it was only a matter of time before something like this happens. I hope he gets the help he needs.
A man who was a suspect in the murder of Ronni Chasen, killed himself last night after police officers approached him outside of his apartment complex.
The man, who is apparently called Harold, has been going around bragging that he “offed” the Hollywood publicist and that he got paid for it. Because of this police have been watching him and finally approached him with a warrant.
They asked him to raise his hands outside of the Harvey Apartments complex on Santa Monica Boulevard when he whipped out a gun an shot himself in the head. He died on the scene.
The LAPD say they aren’t sure if the man actually committed the murder himself, was an accomplice or if he just had knowledge of the murder. Either way he has been going around saying he was to receive $10,000 soon.

Madonna has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres show today to speak about against bullying and the recent group of teenagers who have committed suicide because they are gay. Here is what she had to say…
“I’m incredibly disturbed and saddened by the overwhelming number of teen suicides that have been reported lately because of bullying … to hear that teenagers are taking their lives because they are being bullied in schools and dormitories, what have you, is kind of unfathomable. If you want to talk about solutions or how can we solve this problem, try to get through the day each and everyone of us without gossiping about somebody. And not only that. Not even listening to gossip. Walking away from it. Can you imagine what your day would be like? How much more free time you’d have? I also feel like you’d feel about better about yourself.”
She also talked about speaking about this with her own children.

In September, five teenage boys killed themselves after being physically or verbally (or both) assaulted for being gay.
The suicides of Tyler Clementi, 18, Billy Lucas, 15, Asher Brown, 13, Justin Aaberg, 15, and Seth Walsh, 13, have brought national attention to the epidemic of bullying in American schools.
Now, a number of stars, many of whom have personal experience with anti-gay bullying, are speaking out in hopes of raising awareness and providing support to teens and young adults who are being victimized or who are having trouble dealing with their sexuality. The topic is also addressed in a cover story for this week’s People magazine and in a week-long series on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360.
Most recently, ‘Project Runway‘ mentor Tim Gunn spoke candidly about his own suicide attempt and his support for The Trevor Project, a national 24-hour, toll-free confidential suicide hotline for gay and questioning youth. “I understand the desperation. I understand the despair,” an emotional Gunn said with tears in his eyes. “And I understand how isolated you can feel … It will get better. I promise.”
Comedienne Sarah Silverman has inspired some controversy by positing that a national atmosphere of institutionalized homophobia, as exemplified by the military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy as well as campaigns for constitutional amendments to ban civil marriage for same-sex couples, are at the heart of this epidemic.

It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything about Tila Tequila and her crazy shenanigans but just as I was enjoying not knowing anything about her she pops up and does something insane – she faked her own suicide on her Twitter account.
Tila has said in the past that she has multiple personalities and the other day she was posting on her Twitter and said her second personality, Jane, had been visiting her. Here is what she wrote:
“Jane was just here! She tried to kill me!! Blood everywhere! She slit up my entire body with knives! I’m scared blood everywhere! I told u guys i have multiple personalities. I fell asleep and just woke up with blood cuts everywhere! and everythig is smashed.”
This of course resulted in a bunch of her fans calling 911 reporting the incident so the North Hollywood Police rushed to Tila’s house to do a welfare check on her only to realize she was perfectly fine.
The hoax didn’t settle too well with the police who issued her with a warning for wasting police time, she then turned her attention to take her anger out on those concerned fans who called 911. She yet again took to her twitter account and wrote:
“Calm the f— down! I aint trying to commit no suicide you dumbf—s! Well that’s the last time I will EVER share somethin w/u idiots!”
This woman is absolutely insane, her attention seeking knows no bounds. Tila Tequila also posted the photo below with fake blood to go along with her fake suicide messages.

Tyler Lambert, the 25 year old son of former Diff’rent Strokes star Dana Plato, has committed suicide – almost exactly 11 years after his mother.
Dana Plato killed herself by overdosing on pills at the age of 36 on May 8, 1999. Today, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tyler Lambert was found dead with a self inflicted shotgun wound to the head.
Lambert’s grandmother has told the National Enquirer that:
“Tyler wanted to be with his mother. His father Lanny (Lambert, Plato’s ex-husband) is devastated.”

Peter Lopez, the husband of former Dukes of Hazzard star Catherine Bach, has been found dead in his home today after police responded to reports of gunfire at their home.
Lopez was discovered with an apparent gunshot wound on the front lawn of their Encino residence. Medics responded to the shooting at 11:30 AM. Police are investigating this incident as a suicide.
Bach and Lopez were married in 1990, and have two kids together, Sophia, 14 and Laura, 11. Peter Lopez was 60 years old.
Former lightweight boxing champion Edwin Valero was found dead, apparently by suicide, this morning in a jail cell in Caracas, Venezuela.
Edwin Valero was revered in Venezuela, where his aggressive fighting style and 27-0 record (all by knockout) made him a household name.
Valero, 28, was detained last night on suspicion of murdering his wife. Prosecutors intended to formally charge him today. The boxer left a hotel in Valencia Sunday morning after allegedly telling a security guard that he had killed his 24 year old wife, Jennifer Viera. Police found Viera’s body in their hotel room, where she had been stabbed multiple times. Police have not yet found the murder weapon.
An inmate alerted authorities this morning around 1:30am when he found Edwin Valero hanging. Valero apparently used his own clothes to kill himself. Police say that he was showing signs of life when they got to him, but they were unable to revive him.

Demi Moore may have helped save a teenager’s life today, when her Twitter posts to a suicidal 18 year old were noticed by My Big Fat Greek Wedding star Nia Vardalos.
Moore was exchanging tweets with the distraught young man, who was threatening to hang himself from a tree in front of his Florida home. Vardalos called a suicide prevention hotline in Los Angeles, who patched her through to Florida authorities. Police were able to find the guy with the help of Nia Vardalos and his Twitter information, and found him sitting at his computer crying.
The teen admitted that he needed help, and has been taken into protective custody.

Andrew “Randy” Kwasniewski (pictured on the right), President and Chief Operating Officer of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino was found dead this morning by his wife in their Las Vegas home, with an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Las Vegas police are investigating this unfortunate matter as a suicide, and will provide more information when it becomes available.

British fashion designer Alexander McQueen has been found dead in his London apartment early yesterday morning according to news reports, he was just 40-years-old.
According to reports the police were called by London Paramedics to his apartment at around 10:20 a.m. after the body was discovered, according to some sources he was found hanging.
A statement was released saying “Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand has been found dead at his home, at this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee’s family. Lee’s family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this.”
Just last week his mother, Joyce McQueen, passed away to which he went on his Twitter page (which is now deleted) to say “I’m letting my followers know the my mother passed away yesterday if it she had not me nor would you RIPmumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. but life must go on.”
To make this even more sad, Alexander McQueen was due to show off his new collection during Paris Fashion Week next month. A true legend in the fashion industry, he will live on forever through his clothes.
Troubled comic Artie Lange landed in the hospital after stabbing himself nine times in an apparent suicide attempt.
Lange’s frantic mom called 911 Saturday morning after she entered his Hoboken apartment and found the bloodied funnyman, a law-enforcement source said.
Lange sustained six “hesitation wounds” and three deep plunges. A source close to Lange’s management team confirmed that the Howard Stern sidekick stabbed himself, adding that his mother had come to visit him that day to drop off food. Surgeons managed to save Lange despite heavy bleeding.
“We all have our demons,” Stern said on-air this week, referring to Lange’s past battles with addiction.
“Artie has given this show tremendous moments of great comedy. He’s a tremendous contributor. He is a good man. Don’t forget how great he is.”

The other day Lindsay Lohan was spotted crying on a yacht in St. Barts along with her sister, Ali Lohan, over reasons unknown. Well now she has been spotted walking around showing cutting scars.
This isn’t the first time that Lohan was spotted walking around the streets showing off what appears to be cutting scars on her arms although this time she didn’t seem to bother trying to cover them up.
There has been rumors going around for months that Lindsay Lohan is a self cutter, this adds a bit more proof to them I guess.

Alexa Ray Joel,Billy JoelandChristie Brinkley’s23 year old daughter, was rushed to the hospital today after an apparent suicide attempt, theNY Post reports.
Police say Alexa ingested a large amount of sleeping pills and medics were called to her apartment around 12:21 pm.
Claire Mercuri, Billy and Alexa’s publicist and family spokesperson issued the following statement:
“Alexa is stable. Her doctors are assessing her needs and that’s all we can say at this moment.â€
A well known songwriter, pianist and singer, Alexa Ray recently updated her MySpace page with a status of “forgotten†and said:
“Just Men. UGH!!! MEN!!!!
I don’t like dating!!! Wish I could be in a relationship again without having to date… I HATE going out!! I’m a homebody and a workaholic… I don’t like going out and drinking to meet men!!! I always have to drag myself out the door to get up the motivation to go out, and when I do go out, I don’t meet anybody!!!

Daul Kim, a 20 year old supermodel from South Korea who has graced catwalks in New York, Milan and Paris, was found hanged in her apartment by a friend yesterday.
Kim had modeled for designers such as Chanel, Dries van Noten and Alexander McQueen, but despite her professional success she had shown a tendency towards depression and loneliness on her popular blog, titled “I Like to Fork Myself“.
Her final entry on November 18th was titled “say hi to forever” and featured a video of the song “I Go Deep” by Jim Rivers.
It’s a shame for someone so young to feel that they have nothing to live for. Rest in peace, Daul.
