Miss Singapore World Ris Low Stole Underwear

For those who dare doubt the seriousness of beauty pageants, behold Miss Singapore, in which the entire world of looking pretty has been rocked by scandal.

Miss Singapore World Ris Low Stole Underwear

It seems Ris Low, who had been crowned Miss Singapore World for 2009, has given up her crown under public pressure, after it came out that she has a tendency to steal other people’s credit cards and then buy herself lingerie with them.

Arguably that’s better than buying drugs and goes toward a good cause, but the beauty pageant world will not stand for it.

All told, she scammed nearly $6,000 worth of goods, from seven stolen credit cards taken from patients at the medical clinic where she worked.

As the Reuters story mentions, not only is she a thief, but apparently she can’t properly pronounce “bikini” in English, another of the cardinal sins of the pageant world, which demanded swift and decisive justice.

Toyota Dealer Employee Caught Doing Customers Drugs

Have you ever had the feeling that the service guy at your local dealership is rummaging through your things? Perhaps even a few quarters are missing?

A guy named Jason knows all too well about dealership employees going through his stuff – on two different occasions, Jason noticed that things were missing from his Toyota Tundra after getting it serviced at Hampton Toyota of Lafayette. One time, over $10 in quarters were reportedly stolen, and the next time, Jason says about half his quarters were gone.

After complaining about his problems to dealership management, he received no response. So he rigged a digital video camera to the passenger side door and recorded his Tundra’s next service appointment. What he saw from the video footage was priceless. In one video clip, the technician rummages through his pills, even licking the medicine’s residue on his hand. He also takes some quarters from the truck.

Videos that were later removed from YouTube reportedly shows one man watching what sounds like pornography on a diagnostic computer.

Licking pill residue off his hands? Right… I bet that was a little vial of cocaine!

Instead of again complaining to dealership management, this time Jason took the DVD to the local media, and sent a copy to the owner of the dealership, along with a letter detailing what happened to him.

Consumerist reports that the dealer’s owner immediately fired the three workers caught on video, along with the service manager that ignored his complaints. Jason also received an extended warranty on his truck for his troubles.

Lindsay Lohan Takes Topless Picture

For some strange reason Lindsay Lohan took to her twitter page to pose a picture of her topless, with only her hair blocking her boobs, she took on her Blackberry.

Well I guess this is Lindsay Lohan so she doesn’t really need a reason to do things like this, but the picture is from when she shot that Fornarina commercial.

In other news, Lindsay is being accused of stealing around $500,000 worth of Dior jewelry from a photoshoot she did for Elle magazine at Big Sky Studios in London earlier in the month.

A police spokesperson said “There have been no arrests at this stage. We will speak to a number of people in connection with the inquiry. Jewellery is often loaned out for big celebrities to wear on fashion shoots. Police are working out who had them when they went missing. People at Dior are very upset. It’s an embarrassment to the mag.”

Lindsay Lohan is expected to be questioned sometime this week, drama as always!

Carla Bruni’s X-Rated Pictures Stolen

It appears that a bunch of naked pictures featuring Carla Bruni have been stolen from her ex-boyfriend Raphaël Enthoven’s brothers home.

It seems Raphaël, a philosopher, had given the images and some videos to his younger brother Julien, an actor, because he did not want to embarrass his new girlfriend or Carla’s husband Nicolas Sarkozy, the president of France.

A source said “the thieves appeared to know exactly what they were looking for – taking highly intimate prints, a camera full of further images, videos, and numerous computer files. They broke into Mr Enthoven’s flat in Rue Dauphine, in the sixth arrondissement, on Sunday night, smashing a window in the sitting room which looks out on to the courtyard. Nobody was at home at the time, and nothing else was taken.”

The police now fear that whoever took the files could sell them for shitloads of money and then be leaked online causing embarrassment to Sarkozy.

Neighbors said that “it’s almost impossible to get into any of the flats here, and burglaries are pretty much unheard of, nobody heard anything, even though they say a window was smashed in the courtyard. It seems strange that photos of Carla Bruni should have been targeted and then an announcement made about their disappearance. Also, what kind of a person keeps dozens of photographs of his brother’s ex-lover? Something does not add up here. Perhaps somebody wanted these pictures out of the way?

Carla has an eight year old son with Raphaël, who before she began sleeping with while he was married to Justine Lévy- daughter of famous French philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy - she was seeing his father (who is another philosopher)Jean-Paul Enthoven.

This is the third burglary that has happened this year that is linked to Sarkozy, documents and money was robbed out of his brother. A wee before that almost a million dollars worth of jewelery was taken from the home of his second wife.

Also as you may know, this isn’t the first naked picture controversy to hit Carla Bruni, last year the above image was stolen that showed her posing naked from her modeling days and then the below photos are from her spread in GQ.

What a messy situation, this is beyond some Jerry Springer shit.

Dane Cook’s Brother Steals Him Blind

The business manager for Dane Cook was arrested by Massachusetts state police Tuesday for allegedly stealing millions of dollars from the nationally known comedian.

Darryl McCauley, 43, of Wilmington, Mass., is scheduled to appear in Woburn District Court Wednesday morning. He is scheduled to be charged with two counts of larceny of over $250, forgery and larceny by continuous scheme, according to a news release by the Massachusetts Atorney General’s office.

The Darryl McCauley who was arrested managed Cook’s financial affairs from the early 1990s through this month. The AG’s investigation lasted two weeks.

Other published reports list a Darryl McCauley as Cook’s brother and the best man in Cook’s recent wedding.

The Beckhams Are Robbbed

Two housekeepers working for David and Victoria Beckham have been arrested on suspicion of theft from the celebrity couple’s home.

Britian’s the Telegraph is reporting that two housekeepers have been arrested for stealing several items from Posh and Beck’s home in Hertfordshire, England, and for trying to sell them on an internet auction site.

Victoria’s parents reportedly contacted police after they recognized some of the items for sale. They paid a trip to the house and discovered the same things missing.

“They were most personal and sentimental items collected by Victoria and David during their time abroad,” a source told the Telegraph. “Some of the things were given to them as presents and are unique because they were specially made for them. They include mostly small but expensive trinkets and some pieces on decorative display.”

The stolen property was reportedly being offered on the internet to the highest bidder. The housekeepers, a couple in their 50s, were arrested on Friday. David and Victoria were not at home at the time. The super-couple has been living in L.A. while David plays for the L.A. Galaxy. The Beckhams bought their England home in 1999 for 2.5 million British Pounds. Also known as “Beckingham Palace,” the couple has spent millions making it their dream home.

TSA Agent Helped Himself to a $47,900 HBO Camera

While I fully understand the importance of keeping our planes and airports safe, I’m just not sure the TSA is up to the job. The agency is also plagued by bad PR, mainly because of incompetent staff members and insane decisions that impact us as travelers.

The latest in a long lineup of bad press for the agency involves TSA screener Pythias Brown. This 48 year old resident of Maplewood, NJ was supposed to keep bad stuff off the plane, but instead, he was helping himself to valuable items from the bags of people entrusting him with their belongings.

Pythias started small, stealing cameras, laptop computers, gaming consoles and eventually moved on to the good stuff including a video camera belonging to CNN, and a $47,900 camera stored inside the bag of an HBO employee.

The items were sold on Ebay, and as you can see from his feedback listing, these were not cheap items.

His greed eventually came back to haunt him, when CNN found one of their cameras listed on Ebay. With a little help from the local police department and the USPS, Brown was apprehended.

When agents entered his house, they found 66 cameras, 31 laptop computers, jewelry, lenses, GPS devices and more.

The total value of the stolen items is well over $200,000, and if you have ever lost an expensive item when flying from Newark Liberty Airport, you’ll be thrilled to hear that the TSA is taking the matter “seriously”. News like this just reinforces the need to keep anything of value out of your checked bags.

Of course, this also makes me wonder just how on earth a TSA agent is able to leave the sterile area of his or her local airport with a $47,900 camera hidden in their bag. We passengers get screened, so perhaps it is time to start screening TSA staff when they enter and leave the airport?

Black Crowes Accuse Gretchen Wilson of Song Stealing

Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but not when royalties are at stake.

The Black Crowes have filed a copyright-infringement suit against country star Gretchen Wilson, accusing the self-dubbed Redneck Woman of ripping off parts of their 1991 hit “Jealous Again” on her new single, “Work Hard, Play Harder.”

It may only be rock ‘n’ roll, but it has the brothers Robinson mad enough to file suit not only against Wilson, but against Wilson’s label, Sony BMG, the publishing company J Money Music and TNT, which is using Wilson’s song in a promotion for the new season of Saving Grace.

So far, Chris and Rich Robinson as well as Wilson have personally refrained from commenting on the similarities between the songs. But the Black Crowes’ longtime manager is chiming in with his two cents.

“We find the musical verses of Wilson’s song to be such an obvious example of copyright infringement that I expect all parties to reach a relatively quick resolution to avoid legalization.”

On the bright side, should the Crowes’ claims hold in court, at the very least it would show that the band’s peers, if not necessarily their critics, actually do listen to their music all the way through.
