Yesterday it was announced that Britney Spears and Enrique Iglesias would be doing a joint tour together, I even posted the concert dates, but just hours after the announcement he pulled out and it’s now apparently because of his ego.
TMZ are reporting that the reason Enrique pulled out of the tour is because his ego couldn’t handle opening the show for Britney, despite the fact that weeks before yesterdays announcement both camps agreed it would be a co-headliner tour. Hours before the announcement was to be made Enrique went made and called up everybody telling them that he is not going to be an opening act and he was pulling out of the tour.
Meanwhile it’s been reported by Billboard that the tour is still a possibility because both sides are currently in negotiations to try get Enrique back on board, aside from his ego it seems that money is also a major factor in him pulling out. Apparently Britney is set to make a hell of a lot more money from the tour than he is.
If you do plan on going to the show, I hope you started saving straight away because the prices are absolutely outrageous, the cheapest seats start off at around $96 and go up to $346.50 without booking fees. Also it’s been rumored that Jersey Shore’s DJ Pauly D will be somehow involved with the tour.
Britney Spears‘ new album, Femme Fatale, lands in stores today and she also did a mini concert for ABC’s Good Morning America this morning to help promote the album.
While on GMA she announced the that she and Enrique Iglesias are doing a joint summer tour in North America. You can see those dates below. But first, to celebrate her new album launching PopEater have come up with a list of five Britney songs you probably don’t know. Take a look for yourself:
05. ‘Toy Soldier’ from ‘Blackout’
After her tumultuous marriage to Kevin Federline, Britney was ready for a real man. Not one of those “toy soldiers”; no, she “was simply sick and tired of those.” The track’s lyrics seemed to be directed right at Federline, with Spear’s taunting “bet he gonna wish he knew the type of fun I’m getting into” and “This time I need a soldier, a really bad-ass soldier / That knows how to take, take care of me / I’m so damn glad that’s over.” Bloodshy & Avant, the Swedish team behind many of Spears’ best songs (‘Toxic,’ ‘Piece of Me,’ ‘Unusual You’) produced ‘Soldier’ alongside Sean Garrett, the mega-producer with 15 No. 1 singles from artists like Beyonce, Usher and Ciara under his belt. Spears and her producers hit the theme home with a drill team breakdown and in-step vocals.
4. ‘Early Mornin” from ‘In The Zone’
Exhausted after making it home at dawn, Spears recounts “getting a little messy” but lets us know she’s ready to “do it again” on this dark ‘In the Zone’ jam. Without the four-on-the-floor urgency of the other dance tracks on ‘Zone,’ ‘Early Mornin” is a slow-burn with a laid back pop groove. In short: It’s the dirty little sister of ‘Breathe on Me,’ which is saying something. Something good!
3. ‘Heaven on Earth’ from ‘Blackout’
We’re not the only ones who think ‘Heaven on Earth’ is the best track on Spears’ best album. Asked by Ryan Seacrest during a promotional interview, the singer told the ‘American Idol’ host it was her favorite song on ‘Blackout.’ “It’s a cool track,” she said. “It’s like, I love the producers who did that and it’s kind of different from all the other songs.” A synth-heavy dance tune with a pulsating electro beat and catchy chorus — “Fell in love with you and everything that you are / Nothing I can do I’m really crazy about you / When you’re next to me it’s just like heaven on earth / Tell me that I’ll always be the one that you want / Don’t know what I’d do if I ever loose you / Look at you and what I see is heaven on earth” — delivered in a breathy, sexy cadence reminiscent of early Britney, ‘Heaven on Earth’ was co-produced by former ‘American Idol’ judge Kara DioGuardi.
2. ‘Unusual You’ from ‘Circus’
Spears has rarely acknowledged the private turmoil that plagued her for years and culminated in a brief stay in a psychiatric facility in early 2008. But in the lyrics to her moody, beautiful Euro electro-ballad ‘Unusual You,’ she does allude to those dark times, singing, “Did so many things when I was someone else / Boxer in the ring trying to defend myself.” Simultaneously heartbreaking and hopeful, the track arguably features the most compelling lyrics of any Spears song, and you can tell from her delivery that she means every word. Why the best song on Spears’ “comeback” album wasn’t a single boggles our minds to this day.
1. ‘Breathe on Me’ from ‘In the Zone’
It was a tight race for the top spot, but as with all things Britney, a dance jam ultimately ruled the day. ‘In the Zone’ marked a major transition for Spears. If she was ‘Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman’ on her previous set, ‘Britney,’ Spears made the transition (and then some!) for ‘Zone.’ She’s never been sexier than she is on the Mark Taylor-produced ‘Breathe on Me.’ With its swirling beats and pounding bass, ‘Breathe’ is the type of song we can imagine ourselves sweating to under the hot lights of the dance floor deep into the night. The track — which begins with the lines “Ooooo, it’s so hot and I need some air / And boy, don’t stop cause I’m half-way there” — and several others on ‘Zone’ were game-changers for Spears, who finally seemed ready to drop the winks and playful nudges and let the world see that she was all grown up … and ready to party!
Now I’m ashamed to say that I actually know and love all of these songs, especially Breathe On Me which is deserving of the number 1 spot on this list. As for the tour she is going on, you can see the dates after the jump below, there is no date for when tickets go on sale yet but I can only imagine the prices she is going to charge.

Charlie Sheen‘s ‘My Violent Torpedo of Truth’ tour has gone down a treat and ticket’s are flying out the door, in fact he sold out the Radio City Music Hall twice and the whole tour is nearly sold out. Which is good for him because he is set to make a whopping $7 million from the tour.
TMZ say that Charlie’s deal with Live Nation sees him getting 85% of profits from the tour and they only get 15%, meaning he will make around $275,000 per show and then when you add up all the money he will get from after-parties and merchandising it works out at about $7 million he will make in a month.
Not bad considering the show is only him sitting down in a chair for 1 hour and 15 minutes doing his usual crazy stuff and probably drinking tiger blood which will probably end up as part of the merchandise. Now that is #winning.
Ke$ha has announced that if you go see her on concert you can expect to get free condoms, all with her face on the wrapper. Nothing would turn me on more than seeing her face on a condom wrapper, yeah right.
Ke$ha signed a deal with LifeStyle to create over 10,000 condoms that she will throw out to audience members during her upcoming tour. She said…
“If you come to a live show, it’s a sensory assault. You will leave covered in sweat, beer, glitter, and, just maybe, you’ll get a special edition Kesha condom. If it breaks, you have to name you daughter or son after me.”
It’s cool that she’s doing that, I’ve always thought more places should hand out free condoms, but I’d imagine loads of them would burst from people standing on them and who the hell wants to name there kid after her?
Well here’s a self note to myself – never be a dancer on tour for Lady GaGa because she has put a no sex ban on all her dancers while on tour.
Apparently she wants her dancers to be 100% committed to her and her show so that means they are not allowed have sex with anybody for the remainder of the tour. A source said….
“She has made it quite clear to all her dancers they are not allowed to have sex while the tour is still going. She won’t be happy if she finds out any of them have broken the rules and it’s likely they wouldn’t be asked back. She wants them to give 100% on stage so she doesn’t want them wasting energy on bedtime action. In saucy routines during the show she pretends to have sex with some of the dancers and wants these bits to look as real as possible. She’s a perfectionist and wants every aspect of the tour just right. She’s told her dancers they are married to her so they need to fully commit to the touring every way she requests.â€
I feel very sorry for her dancers, there is not a chance in hell I would stick with any job if they asked me not to have sex. Especially if I was touring the world and seeing about 100 women in the audience who I would like to take back to my hotel room. If this is indeed true then Lady GaGa truly is insane.

Here is three pieces of news about Lady GaGa rolled into one, how excited are you? First up we will talk about the following video in which it’s obvious that she needs to take a break and go on a healthy vacation.
During a performance of Bad Romance, the closing song to her Monster Ball tour, in New Zealand she could barely stand and ended up singing half the song on her hands and knees while she swung her head around. Now I’ve been to this tour and it is pretty amazing but this is not the kind of performance she gave which makes it obvious that she is in dire need of a rest.
In her second piece of news CNN reported over the weekend that MTV have decided that they are going to ban her Telephone music video, which you can see here, because they think it’s too provocative. This is not the case at all according to a press release from MTV.
What I found hilarious about the whole rumor is that if it was true … would MTV actually think they are still relevant enough to the music world to ban videos, does anybody even watch MTV anymore? The highest rated program on MTV gets at most 4 million viewers, while since premiering on Thursday the Telephone video has had over 15 million viewers.
As for the video itself, there’s nothing provocative in this video at all in my opinion and what I find more offending is the amount of product-placement they have decided to throw in.
Lady GaGa will not be taking a break anytime soon though because her calendar is completely booked, which leads me to the last piece of news – she has just announced tour dates for her second U.S. leg of the Monster Ball tour, which you can see after the jump.

On the day that New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush was about to play in the Super Bowl, one of his ex-mistresses released a video tour, that she filmed of Reggie’s house.
There is no confirmation as to when she filmed this video, but she has said in numerous interviews that her and Reggie were having an affair, while him and Kim Kardashian have been dating.
With the Saints victory yesterday, Carmen is definitely looking to steal some of that shine and make some money off her mistress status. Apparently, Carmen says Reggie doesn’t treat his mistresses that good and is cheap.
I wonder what Kimmy thinks of this?

GodHatesFags is one of, if not, the most tackiest and disgusting websites I have ever come across and now they have decided that the big man upstairs hates Lady Gaga.
They have a new press release announcing that on January 7, 2010, they will be picketing outside of the Fox Theater in St.Louis, MO, the same night that GaGa is performing for The Monster Ball Tour she is currently on.
Part of the press release says….
“Thou hadst a whore’s forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed…Will He reserve His anger for ever? Will He keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.†Jer. 3:3,5.
They also go on to call her a hussy, slut and claim that she hates God and is encouraging others to hate him through her music and shows. You can read the whole press release below.
This whole thing is beyond ridiculous but their wording is absolutely hilarious. Do you think God would hate Lady GaGa? I can’t even write that without laughing.
Judging from this photo of Steven Tyler and actor Chuck Slavin at Pembroke Center Liquors, the Aerosmith singer is indeed in no shape to continue the band’s summer tour.
Two people were pronounced dead just a couple of hours after the stage for Madonna‘s Sticky & Sweet collapsed in Marseille, France.
The accident didn’t happen while there was a concert on, instead it happened while they were building the stage for her gig in the French city which was to take place on Sunday, July 19th. As of now, eight other people are still in hospital with serious conditions.
Madonna issued a statement through her spokesperson Liz Rosenberg saying “I am devastated to have just received this tragic news, my prayers go out to those who were injured and their families along with my deepest sympathy to all those affected by this heartbreaking news.”
The accident happened after four cranes lifting the stage set roof apparently snapped, sending everything crashing to the stage.
Madonna was playing a concert in Italy last night when the accident took place, she apparently broke down crying and said she was devastated, adding “I ask you for a moment to stop and think of the people who have lost their lives, we need to appreciate life, the people we love and our families.”
City officials of Marseille have now canceled the Madonna concert which was scheduled for Sunday – she next plays on July, 21 in Barcelona, Spain.
Britney Spears‘ father has been seeking permission from a judge to expand the pop star’s current Circus tour – but the dire economy may hamper those plans, it was revealed in a Los Angeles courtroom Tuesday.
The pop star, 27, is halfway into a 49-show tour through the U.S., Canada and the UK, with hopes to add more dates through Europe, Australia and a possible second U.S. tour.
L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz said following a closed-door discussion with Jamie and his lawyers,
“It hasn’t yet been determined whether it’s feasible to expand tours to the Europe or Australia legs.”
That will be determined in the future after everyone’s seen the analysis, in terms of the economy and value of the dollar.”
Jamie and another lawyer hold indefinite legal control over his daughter following her two forced hospitalizations last year.
“Britney’s loving being onstage again,” says a source close to the singer. “Health-wise, she’s progressing every week, it’s amazing. Britney was the single force for wanting to go on tour in the first place.”
Tickets for Michael Jackson‘s 50-date residency at the O2 arena in London have completely sold out, organizers have confirmed.
Hundreds of fans queued at the venue, as tickets went on sale to the public and over a quarter of a million people queued online.
More than a million tickets to see the veteran pop star have now been sold. Some 360,000 tickets were sold to registered fans before sales opened on Friday morning.
Organizers say the This Is It tour has become the fastest-selling in history, with 33 seats sold each minute.
It’s been a while since I’ve thought Britney Spears is really hot, that time isn’t here just yet but judging by these photographs she is really on her way to being back to her old body.
Now don’t get me wrong, I think she looks far better than she has for the past year and a half, it’s just she isn’t quite there yet.
Britney’s official website posted these pictures of the singer rehearsing with some dancers for her upcoming tour, The Circus Starring: Britney Spears.
Along with getting her body back in check, it seems Britney and ex husband Kevin Federline are trying to get back to being nice with each other.
Apparently when K-Fed went over to Britney’s new home to pick up their children Jayden James and Sean Preston on Sunday, he was invited in by her father Jamie Spears to have some BBQ food and ended up staying for about five hours.
I’m glad I can finally say Britney Spears is looking really good again.
Katy Perry, who just announced she is going on tour, had a wardrobe malfunction on stage the other day.
Perry was performing her new song Hot ‘n’ Cold at an AIDS charity concert in Toronto, Canada, but when she threw herself to the ground during the song her nipples popped out to say hello.
When she realized what happened, the embarrassed singer ran of the stage, fixed herself then returned to finish the song.
Avril Lavigne’s Malaysian fans are going to have to wait to see her live, after her show was deemed “too sexy†by the country’s Muslim majority.
The country’s Arts, Culture and Heritage ministry canceled the Aug. 29 performance amid protests from the youth wing of a fundamentalist opposition group, the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party.
Grammy-nominee Avril had scheduled the concert in Kuala Lumpur to kick off her Asian tour. However the date falls two days before Malaysia’s independence day celebrations, a fact that contributed to the ministry’s decision, according to the Associated Press.
“It is not timely. It’s not in the good spirit of our National Day. If we go ahead with the concert, it is contrary to what we are preparing for,†said Shukran Ibrahim, a senior official from the ministry.
Other artists have had trouble with Malaysia’s rules, which include no jumping, shouting, hugging or kissing on stage. Performers must also be dressed from chest to knee. Last year Beyonce moved a concert from Malaysia to Indonesia, and Christina Aguilera skipped the country all together during her Asian tour.
“We don’t want our people, our teenagers, influenced by their performance. We want clean artists, artists that are good role models,†said Kamarulzaman Mohamed, a party youth official.
