Well here it is the first trailer for ‘Battleship‘ which is a movie based on the classic strategy board game that we have all played when we were younger.
‘Hancock’ directer Peter Berg is the man behind the directors chair and basically turned the classic game into a big Hollywood movie with loads of explosions and aliens. I must have missed the aliens when I used to play the game.
The plot for the movie goes like this “A story of an international Navy fleet engaged in a very dynamic and intense battle against an alien race known as “The Regents”. The aliens come to planet Earth, on a mission to build a power source in the ocean. Upon their visit, they come in contact with a navy fleet. The film is also purported to show both sides of the story, from the aliens’ perspective, as well as the humans.”
Taylor Kitsch takes on the lead role Alex Hopper who is dating Admiral Shane’s, played by Liam Neeson, daughter who is played by none other than Brooklyn Decker. Hopper is supposed to be one of the navys rising stars but not anymore and that’s mostly to do with his relationship.
Rihanna also makes her acting debut in this movie and you can see her at around the 1:04 mark for a split second, she’s the one driving the speedboat.
Battleship, which is out on May 18, 2012, actually looks pretty good. Will you be going to see it?
Well it’s finally here, The Film Stage have got their hands on the official trailer for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ and it looks a lot better than I was expecting it to be.
’500 Days of Summer’ director Marc Webb was called in to direct the movie, which is set to be released on July 3rd 2012, because Sam Raimi pulled out of the original plan to film Spider-Man 4 and since the studio didn’t know what to do they just decided to completely reboot the franchise with this new movie.
Andrew Garfield takes on the role of Peter Parker/ Spider- Man and Emma Stone will take on the role of Gwen Stacy, one of Parkers earlier love interests in the comic books. The villain for this movie will be Dr. Curt Connors / The Lizard, who will be portrayed by Rhys Ifans.
Sally Field and Martin Sheen also star in the movie. What do you think of the trailer? Aside from the second half which is basically a point of view to show how good it will look in 3D I think it looks like it could be a pretty good movie.
The first official teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises has been released online exactly one year and two days before the movie is due for release and you can check it out right here.
The Dark Knight Rises is the last movie in the new Batman trilogy that will see Christopher Nolan directing and he is teasing fans by releasing this trailer that mainly shows footage from the past two movies thrown together as well as showing Tom Hardy as the main villain, Bane.
If you happened to go see ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2′ over the weekend then you would have seen this trailer during the ads, if not then the producers of the movie released this trailer on the official Facebook page, via The Film Stage, for the movie.
In the trailer Liam Neeson‘s “Batman Begins” character, Ra’s Al Ghul, whispers “if you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, then you become something else entirely, a legend, Mr. Wayne, a legend.”
This is followed by another voice-over this time by Gary Oldman, who plays Commissioner Gordon, saying to Batman “we were in this together, and then you were gone, and now this evil rises. The Batman has to come back.”
In the last movie we seen Batman go into hiding after defeating the Joker and Two-Face, but as we all know Batman always comes back to save the day and this time it looks like he’s saving it from Bane.
Christian Bale will reprise his role as Batman and Anne Hathaway will take on the role of Catwoman for the new movie which hits theaters next year. I’m sure this is only the beginning of the promotional wheel, I think we should all expect a ton more of trailers and posters getting released over the coming months. If you have seen The Pirates of the Caribbean 4 over the weekend then you will have most likely seen the first trailer for the upcoming The Muppets movie and as you can see above it’s not your typical trailer.
The trailer starts out with a fake trailer for a fake movie, Green With Envy, that is basically your typical rom-com stuff (they even created a fake poster which you can see below).
James Bobin is the director behind the movie while Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller wrote the script for it. Amy Adams, Chris Cooper and Segel all star in the movie along with a bunch of other cameos.
The Muppets is set for release on November 23rd, I for one will definitely be checking it out. Will you?
If you haven’t heard about this new movie, ‘Unlawful Killing’, yet then you’re more than likely about to hear about it loads over the coming days. It’s a documentary about the death of Princess Diana and is set to debut at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday. Here is the trailer.
The documentary raises a lot of questions that have still to this day gone unanswered and so it is bringing up old debates surrounding the death of Princess Di back in 1997. Keith Allen is the director behind this documentary and basically goes into the conspiracy as to whether Diana’s death was indeed an accident or if in fact it was a plan by the Royal Family to kill her.
Gawker reports that the movie will even show a death photo of Diana that was taken while she was lying in the French tunnel after the accident. Now I’m all for conspiracy’s and stuff but to include a photo like this to me is just distasteful.
By the way this has been banned in the U.K. because the Royal Family don’t want this film to be seen by anybody. I for one will be watching this. Will you?
I didn’t even know they were making a Final Destination 5 because the franchise was supposed to end after the fourth installment but here pops up a trailer for the fifth movie and I have to say it looks quite good.
The movie will follow the format of it’s predecessors in that a bunch of good looking teenagers will escape dying in a terrible accident but death will soon start to follow them and one by one they will end up dying.
This time the accident looks like it will take place when a bridge collapses and then things go from there, one girl appears to die during lasik eye surgery. Tony Todd will reprise his role as a coroner in the film, although he hasn’t appeared in the franchise since the second movie.
I have to admit I do love these films and I will definitely be checking this one out because it looks like it’s finally gone from trying to be funny to actually being a horror movie.
Well here it is, the official trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two has been released and it basically gives fans a preview of what the final battle between Harry Potter and Voldemort is going to look like.
I’ve said it a ton of times before – I’m not a huge fan of Harry Potter but after watching this trailer I actually can’t wait to see this movie. If I could describe this trailer in one word it would be “epic”. What do you think Potter fans, do you think this movie will live to expectations?
I can’t believe I didn’t know that they were even making this movie because I am usually up to date on movies like this, but anyway here is the official trailer for the Rise of the Planet of the Apes which stars James Franco.
When I first seen this trailer I got all tingly on the inside but then I seen it was Franco as the star and my hopes were killed a little but I have to say the movie does look pretty damn good.
This is supposed to be a prequel to “Planet of the Apes” and see’s Franco’s character trying to find a cure for Alzheimer by testing on apes but while doing that he makes their brain work better. It is set for release on August 5th.
The official trailer for Scream 4, which sees Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox returning, has been released and as you can expect it looks pretty bad.
I don’t see where they can take the plot, although it is said to be a new trilogy so maybe they kill of one of the originals? If you watch the trailer it looks like one of them does get killed, so that probably means they don’t.
Either way no matter how bad this looks, I will probably be first in line to see it.
The official trailer for Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp‘s movie, The Tourist, has been released and it looks like a mixture of every movie she has done before.
The movie is about Elise (Jolie), a woman who deliberately meets and seduces Frank (Depp) but after hooking up he is forced to go on the run after a case of mistaken identity while she appears to be some sort of spy.
The movie is released on December 10th, I’ll be waiting on DVD or for it to leak online. What do you think of the trailer?
The trailer for Joaquin Phoenix‘s ‘I’m Still Here’ movie is finally here and I don’t really know what to think about it. Take a look and judge for yourself.
The documentary (or mockumentary as some believe it to be), which was directed by Casey Affleck follows Joaquin as he gives up his life as an actor and tries to make it as a hip-hop star. The trailer doesn’t really give much away, it’s just a few shots from the movie and some man talking about water or something like that.
There’s been loads of controversy around this movie, including sexual harassment lawsuits against Casey. But could it all just be to drum up publicity for the movie? I guess time will tell when it’s released. By the way the production company is titled “They Are Going to Kill Us Productions.”
A nine minute preview of the upcoming movie Piranha 3D has been released online. The preview was originally supposed to be shown at Comic-Con, but was deemed way too “inappropriate” for the audience.
Piranha 3D is going to be your standard splatterfest horror film about a bunch of drunken, naked spring breakers being eaten by thousands of hungry little fish… and all in 3D. What is not going to be standard about this film is the cast. This remake of the campy 1978 classic features Christopher Lloyd as a crazy old man, Richard Dreyfuss as a marine biologist, and Ving Rhames as no-nonsense sheriff, who’s armed with a shotgun. It also stars Elisabeth Shue, Eli Roth, Jerry O’Connell and Kelly Brook.
Check out the preview below, but be aware that it is veryNSFW, and contains graphic violence, excessive blood and gore, strong sexual content, nudity, adult language, and hostility towards fish.

One reason I love Comic-Con is because studios really do their best to cut amazing trailers for upcoming flicks to impress the masses. That, and I’m a total geek.
That being said, the trailer for the upcoming Zak Snyder (300, Sin City) flick Sucker Punch kicks a ridiculous amount of ass. Tagged as “Alice in Wonderland with machine guns”, the trailer features hot chicks, explosions swords, guns… and a giant f*cking dragon. I must see this movie.
Featuring Vanessa Hudgens, Emily Browning, Jamie Chung, Carla Gugino, Jena Malone and many others, Sucker Punch is due to be released in May 2011.
The trailer for Saw 3D has been released, even though the movie is still in the being edited, and you can watch it right here.
The trailer says “Every master craftsman – and all true geniuses – always save their best – for last.” Which means the 7th movie will see the Saw franchise is finally coming to an end when it’s released on October 29th. The producers said…
“We have told the story we wanted to tell, and this is going to be a great farewell. It’s more violent than any of them. But it’s in 3-D, it answers all the questions, it comes full circle. We have the goods on this one.”
Even though I don’t really like any of the Saw movies, yet I’ve watched all of them, I can’t wait to see this one because it’s in 3D.
The official trailer for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” has finally been released along with some new photos.
The final installment from the franchise is going to be split up into two parts, obviously because they want to cash in on the movie even more, the first one will be released on November 19 and the second will be released July 15th 2011.
Yes we are going to have to put up with Potter mania for another whole year. Both parts of the movie will be released in 3D, again because they can cash in more from those expensive ticket sales. But I have to be honest, I would take Harry Potter over the Twilight crap any day of the week. This trailer actually looks really good.
